In the previous intallment of this thread, the retainer Leseth
caught up with Lord Liris and attempted to exact the Queen of Wayrest's
justice. In this, he did not succeed and was defeated, though the Breton Arynel
discovered firsthand the power of the Void Vampire Bosriel.
Soon after the Daedra Prince Meridia tried causing trouble by luring Azura
supporters into an ambush in a nearby ebony mine. Her plan did not work fully
as intended and word has yet to get out.
Loranna has now arrived in Balmora admid cheering crowds and is being escorted
into House Hlaalu's feast, where sweetrolls and surprises await ...
As always, mirc ChatSpike channel #Loranna_RP is our official chatroom for the
event. Everyone who plays is welcomed and encouraged to join the chat so that
we may discuss plot developments and swap jokes about our characters Those who
can't get into the chatroom are encouraged to PM me about any plot ideas or
scene-effecting actions they have in mind; I will try to answer you with all
possible speed.
Part Seven begins ...
===
Loranna is led into the Hlaalu Guildhouse, the scent of sweetrolls becoming
strong enough to make her almost giddy; she cautions herself to try and avoid
losing her composure, by remembering that there are hidden knives around her
even if she can't see them, and by remembering what happened to poor Arynel.
Still, the festive mood of the moment is hard to ignore, so as she's led inside
she can't help but smile a little ...

Reichi headed up the great stairs of the hill to the square
around which the Hlaalu council Manor and various Noble's houses were arranged.
To the back and side of the council manor was the Morag Tong guildhall. To
Reichi's far right was the fine clotheir and Alchemist shops. Reichi leaned
against the manor closets to the Council Manor. Knowing the parade with Loranna
was coming this way.
Dar'Var meanwhile, was amusing himself by jumping from rooftop to rooftop,
using his speed enchament and natural Khajiit acrobacy.

On the edge of town two figures appear. An old breton in a brown
robe, and a well groomed dog. The pair walks into the guildhouse and the man
takes a seat and the dog sits on the seat next to him.

Mirea smiled and bowed to everyone as she entered. She had
developed a certain sweep of her hand which she felt was appropriately regal.
She wished she had a train to swish.
Allerleirauh made her way to the front of the group. Surely someone here was in
charge of security; she should speak to that person, whoever it was. Her
trained eye picked out the weapons in the crowd, but there were plenty of
wizards present, and no doubt plenty of hidden weapons. She wished she felt
safe ordering Mirea into the Void to watch from there.

Maranda made her way into the hall, making it past security
despite the large sword hanging off her robe... it seems like she was mistaken
for someone else...

Azrael stormed out of the guild, leaving behind the cloak he had
been issued by the guild, as well as a small pin that Eliin gave to him some
time back, placing them on a table next to the entryway. "So, it's come to
this. These voices, this incarnate--I've given up everything I have built with
this guild for them. I only hope I don't end up regretting my actions, and
swallowing my words. . ."
As he stepped outside he noticed a large crowd of people gathering on the
plateau that supported the Hlaalu House's base in the city. He realized that
the incarnate must have arrived, and, considering what had only just transpired
in the building behind him, decided that he might do well to share a bit of
information with her.

*Celezar entered the Hlaalu Guildhouse, making his way back to
the dinning hall with the rest of the visitors. Celezar sat upon a great chair,
taking a strip of salted meat and nibbling on it thoughtfully, washing it down
with a goblet of wine, holding his hand to the edge of the goblet to make sure
no wine dribbled upon his fluffy beard. Celezar sat then, eyeing the guests
with amusement in his eyes, which twinkled under the brilliant lights of the
dinning hall*
"I do wonder when our expected guest will be here, Celezar."
"Indeed, indeed, puppet Celezar is begining to think this king shall never
show up in time!"

Dante managed to find a healing potion and eagerly downed the
entire bottle without a single breath "Aaahh...." At that exact
moment Illidan came bursting out of the tavern "Wibby wibby oh
Contarari-eee!" He cried out over the cluttered streets.
"Oh.....lord" muttered Dante now finding his muscles feeling better
started to walk at an extremely fast pace away from Illidan, anywhere would be
good, so he decided the Hlallu council manor would be a great place to escape
his brothers' drunken stupidity.

Jekk felt an odd disturbance as he walked near the Hlaalu Manor.
Somethings going to happen I can feel it...goodbye Dane Jekk trotted off
to the Siltrider port. Dane walked out the tavern to his surprise it was
evening already. He sniffed the air, he could scent his compainions, not far
off. With one jug in his hand, the imperial began to stroll into town singing a
Nordic alibi (sp?) Word around town that there is suppose to be a big party
near the Hlaalu Manor, guess I better check it out

Arynel silently made his way through the crowd, and at last came
to a building with the name "Eight Plates" inscribing the sign above.
The Breton walked through the door, and took a seat at a table in the corner.

From one of the hall's side doors, Aricyn enters the feast.
In place of his usual armor he wears a deep blue velvet tabard, quilted and
studded with silver studs, which hangs to his boot-tops.
On his arm is an older, important-looking Hlaalu noblewoman, a Breton, who is
laughing charmingly at something he said.
Catching Loranna's eye across the colorful room, he winks.

The Dunmer marched up the stairs leading to the plateau, and
upon reaching it's end, was greeted by the sight of a gaggle of noblemen and
women, as well as Loranna and her following troupe being led into the hall. He
picked up his pace a bit, pushing through a thick wave of the upper class, arriving
at the door only moments after the incarnate disappeared from view.
As he walked in a hand shot in front of him, and he looked up to see a brutish
looking guard. "Why have you come here?", the heavily armored dunmer
grumbled, "Are you with the incarnate? I think not, now leave."
Azrael grabbed the hand in front of him firmly, pushing it down, "Yes, I
am with her; if you do not believe me, call her for yourself. Better yet, I
will. . ."
He looked directly forward, and met eyes with Loranna, calling her name,
"Incarnate! Might I speak with you?"; at the same time he began to
concentrate his thoughts, trying to make them clear enough to understand:
"Incarnate; I must speak with you of things, now or later, it does not
matter, but you must know what is going to transpire."

Loranna catches Aricyn's wink and raises an eyebrow, though her expression is
more bemused than anything. Seeing him having fun was both comfortning and
isolating at once.
She notices Allie and Mirea, and wonders if Arynel decided to come or not, as
she scans the crowd for other familiar faces.
Hearing Azrael, she calls out "He is with me; let him enter, please."
Yes? she replies to Azrael.

*Celezar, now lost hopelessly in an argument with Celezar, bangs
his goblet upon the table angrily*
"No, no, no! What you simply must understand is that the waitress over
there would clearly win in a battle! She has just the right figure, when used
correctly, to slip behind that behemoth you call a waitress and put a knife in
her back!"
"Dear puppet, you dont seem to get me here! This puppet has muscles galor
to beat your skinny little puppet with! Forget stealth and guile, muscles will
smash your flimsy puppet anytime!"
"Do you truly think you can win in an argument with me, Celezar, I am a

waitress and she'll merely slip between her legs and trip that

Dagoth, noticing Loranna's excitment about sweetrolls decides to
do something sweet. 'Now.... if I can just get to the food, I can get my hands
on some....'

Arynel sits at a table in the corner of the tavern. The Breton
traces the woodgrain of the table before him with his finger.
Of every word yet written
And every path yet trod
Another step the road to find
Until both sea and mountain gone...
The Breton silently gets up, and walks out of the Eight Plates, and heads off
towards the celebration.

The leader of House Hlaalu in Balmora, Nileno looked over the
crowd, trying to keep her smiling from becoming uneasy. This did not look like
the kind of retinue who would travel with the King of Mournhold. These looked
like rabble.
“Anything you need, My Lady,” she said to Loranna, banishing such snobbery from
her mind. “You need only ask and it will be provided. You must excuse me,
though, I have to make certain all is going smoothly with the servants.”

Hearing her speak out in favor of him entering, Azrael turns his
gaze back towards the guard, muttering, "Yes, now let me go." The
dunmer, against his will, and better judgement as well, lowered his hand,
allowing Azrael to pass.
Not wishing to waste a moment of time, he pushed his way through the crowd,
until he met Loranna. Speaking in a low voice, not wishing to deal with the
weight of a mental conversation at that moment, Azrael informed her, hastily,
of his conversation with Eliin:
"Loranna, you must know now that the Mages guild has chosen to align
itself vis-ŕ-vis yourself. I have spoken with the local guildmaster, and he is
most predisposed to take action against both you, and all who follow. He does
not believe your intentions. I pledge myself to you now, incarnate; you must
not fail."

Dane walked around the manor there was a lot of fuss going on,
he couldn't tell who was intended Was Loranna here? He came to the back
of the manor where there was a back door. He tried it but the knob was locked.
Dane shuffled around in his pocket then pulled out a lockpick. Satisfied that
the door was now unlock Dane walked in. The room he came in was a kitchen.
There were large amounts of food laid on dishes on tables and pots steaming off
steam.
A Dunmer lady came in. "Oh there you are chief we've been waiting come
with me please"
Before Dane could speak out that he was no chief the Dunmer pulled Dane along
into a room

Dante and Illidan had finally made inside, Dante went off and
sat at the main table, waiting and collecting his head for awhile. Illidan on
the other hand had decided to mosy on over to the bar where a bald house Hlaalu
nobleman sat.
In Illidans drunken state he tried to start up some conversation "Y-y'know
you, you have GOT the prettiest hair that I have evr seen in a long time, you
know that?" The nobleman rolled his eyes "I'm bald you idiot!"
Illidan shook his head wildly then said "No no no, you have very lovely

with himself merrily drank from his recently ordered shein.

The dark form of Leseth floats freely in nothingness. With one hand, he gently

Dar'var discreted snuck some moonsugar into his own sweetrolls and began eating

Mirea laughed helplessly at her own joke, then gave a little bounce like a cork
floating to the surface of water. "I'll be back when I'm fully loaded. Try
to have fun - if you blow this whole place sky high, it won't be any worse a
screw-up than you're already managed, and you lived through that just
fine."
Loranna turns and scans the crowd for Allie ...
... Allie love, I've never told you this before but - you really know how to
pick them sometimes, she says, a growing mirth in her tone.
... Speaking of which, any word from Mirror? And Arynel? she asks, starting
to mill a bit more with the crowd. ... Oh, never mind Arynel; I hear him now
and he sounds ... healthy. ..

"Pass the flin," he said as he sat down at the table.
Dante had a slight start as Teleran made his abrupt appearance "Greetings

Strolling across the bridge linking the western side of Balmora
to the east, Azrael headed steadily towards his home. He rounded a corner,
listening to a large rat scurry across a pile of boxes, and began to blend with
the shadows on the street leading to his house; "A day; a day I've been
away from this place, and yet I am so relieved to return to it. How sad, that a
day would make so much difference to me now."
As the Dunmer neared the entryway to his home, he noticed something peculiar
about the position of his door--it was opened. Immediately, his senses
heightened, and he drew his blade, alert to any noise coming from within the
stone shell. Azrael pushed the door open slightly, and peered into the
building--he could see a slight figure in the shadow of a corner, rummaging
through a bag.
As quick as a flash, the Dunmer, embracing his rogue abilities, leaped into the
home, and downed the small mer; he flipped the shadow over, pressing his blade
at the throat of the silhouette, lighting a candle in the same instant with a
small spell. He held the flickering light up to the intruders face, and
recognized it as Eliin's small, Bosmer assistant.
"YOU!", he growled, "WHY ARE YOU IN MY HOME?". Quivering,
the mer answered, shakily, "P-PLEASE! D-D-DON'T HURT ME!". Azrael's
severe face turned to one of bloodlust, "Then be QUIET now, and tell me
why you are here!".
He stood up, throwing the small elf against the wall, holding his blade at it's
throat all the while. "ANSWER ME! NOW!".
Frantically, the Bosmer spat out, "Eliin sent me! He wanted me to
confiscate the dagger he gave to you before you left for Gnisis! He said you
ca. . .", suddenly he choked up, Azrael's elbow against his throat.
Snarling, the Dunmer grunted, "You, leave me house immediately. I have
your blade here, and you will not be returning it to Eliin. Should I find you
in this building once more, you will not leave, ever."
Azrael let go of the elf's throat, and watched it scamper out the door.
Infuriated, he slammed the door behind the retreating shadow, lit all the
candles in his home, and sat on his bed.
After breathing heavily for a moment, contemplating whether or not to go and
intercept the Bosmer before he reached the guild, Azrael relaxed his pose,
removing the blade from it's small sheath. He held it up to a light, looking it
over, wondering why Eliin would be so eager to have this blade back once more.
Suddenly, as the light reached the hilt of the silvery implement, he noted three
letters, 'A Z D'. Pondering their meaning, Azrael's mind was drawn back
to his family--specifically his father, who was seemingly contacting him from
another plane. And then, it struck him, "Anghardel Zoakiir
Darkthorne"; the initials were those of his father. . .

The Isle of Artaeum, Summurset
While preparations were being made, B spent most of the day meditating and
putting his affairs in order. Scrolls were signed, decisions were made, and
personal effects were given to others for safekeeping; in the event that B did
not return, these items were to be viewed as gifts. It surprised him how little
there actually was to be done. It was times like this that reminded B just how
little he owned. He looked down at the ring Allerleirauh had given to him. It
was one possession he was glad to be taking with him.
With a tattooed face, B stepped into the dark opening of the cave. Turning
around to look back, he watched as the light from the outside world faded away.
The young initiates were rolling the great boulder, sealing the entrance to the
Dreaming Cavern.
B’s eyes closed.

Coldharbour, Oblivion
The stench was overpowering. His grey cloak provided him no barrier against the
acrid water as B waded through the darkened corridor of the palace. Only the
sound of his beating heart echoed in the hall.
After a time, the water almost completely disappeared: it was nothing more than
a few scattered puddles on the ground. Now, the scent of roses assaulted him.
Crumbled stones lined his path, and it seemed a hundred haunting eyes watched
B’s arrival.

at least one, I know and will not deny. I can bring light into darkness, and
do, as often as it pleases me."
She bowed. "There is dancing, lord. And I hear Aricyn getting drunk. I

all to smithereens."

Arynel nods his head to Allerleirah, and finishes his scrib pie.
The Breton takes a drink from the tankart, and voices a poem:
From day to night the wheel turns
From dark to light the path doth yearn
Ever onward on its way
Always forward the song to play...

Earlier that day- The Bosmer child ran
into the eight plates and grabbed his knees. He had apparently been running for
a while, like children do. He yelled to the innkeeper "You see a big Nord
in a purple shirt?" not knowing Phyrdalion's name. The innkeeper waved him
to a room, and the boy burst in. He shook Phyrdalion until he had awakened. "You
never said that she was Azura!" the boy almost shouted.
Phyrdalion awoke, albeit a little groggy. He rooled over and looked into the
boys face. He heard the boys words, and tried to remember for the life of him
what the boy could be talking about. Then it came to him, he was supposed to be
waiting for Loranna. "Is she here?" asked Phyrdalion, half yawning.
"Not here yet, but they say she's coming! Azura is going to be here!"
the boy was almost jumping in glee. It amazed Phyrdalion just how easily
children were excited.
"Alright, you earned your gold, now get along so I can dress." the
boy ran out of the room, and Phyrdalion donned his new attire. He tied most of
his hair behind his head, leaving some to fall to his shoulders. He wore a
silver amulet, given to him by the temple to prevent his mind from being read.
"My thoughts are my own." he said to himself, slipping the amulet
over his head. Feeling prepared, he walked out into the streets and up to
Millie Hastien. When he came to the square, a guard approached him.
"I require your invitation." said the guard, eyeing Phyrdalion's
attire.
"An invitation, for what?" Phyrdalion responded, taken aback by the
odd request.
"You need an invitation to enter Helseth's ball. Nobody gets in without
one." the guard stated impatiently.
Phyrdalion realized that this must be what all the fuss was about. "I am
here to inspect the ball and make certain that it is to the kings likeing. I
come from Almalexia itself, now let me pass." Phyrdalion put his hand into
his pocket and summoned a cloth with the royal insignia. He handed the cloth to
the guard, and stood looking regal.
"Well, yes, of course. I am so sorry sir, I did not know, please forgive
me."
Phyrdalion put his hand on the guard's shoulder as he walked by him.
"You're a good guardian, the king will be pleased." he walked into
the guildhall, and the guard followed him, explaining to the others to let
Phyrdalion pass. When Phyrdalion had finished his act, he sat in a chair to
wait for Loranna.
"Does this meet your satisfaction, minister?" asked one of the
coordinators.
"Indeed it does, the king will be pleased. Now, let us wait for our
guests." Phyrdalion said.
Now-"The guests are all here, will the king be pleased with our
festivites?" an administrator says to Phyrdalion, bringing him some flin.
"I am sure." says Phyrdalion "Now, where is this
"Loranna"? I wish to meet her." Phyrdalion says, sipping the
flin.
The administrator points to a beautiful nord on the dancefloor, dancing with a
dunmer. "That is her. Be careful sir, I've heard strange things about that
one."
"Indeed." says Phyrdalion, rising. "Well, I suppose we should
meet soon." Phyrdalion walks to the food bar, and takes some of the guar.
As he sits to eat, he notices a particularly beautiful couple gracing the
floor. Allerleirauh and Aricyn are dancing in perfect harmony. Phyrdalion
thinks to himself of the days when he used to dance. "What I wouldn't give
to do that again."

'I will be here for you my love, no matter what.'
Loranna spares a second to smile at Allie and Aricyn, noting that the two of
them look absolutely stunning together, in ways she can only half describe
without resorting to full blown speeches.
... We're each a prison to each other, but so long as we each hold the key,
what of it? she asks quietly. To be free is the answer, some say - but
that freedom only really works if everyone is likewise free, and no matter how
powerful any god is, no one can free everyone like that all at once - the ebst
we can do is touch another's heart, one at a time.
... So prisons will remain but I'll at least choose which prisons I prefer, and
work to keep the keys in my hands so that when I need to be free I can step
out, knowing that I can come back at any time and what I loved about that
prison will still be there.
She sighs happily. I love you; I'll stay in your arms, and even when I need
my space I'll come back to you someday. When I need to go into other prisons,
I'll still think of you, and keep the key to your arms in my hand at all times.

Elysana nodded solemnly, but the look in her dark circled eyes was not at all
foolish. There was, however, still a spark of madness.

Phyrdalion puts his hand in hers, his other around her waist, and they dance

how has your trip proceeded thus far?" Phyrdalion continues to dance,

Dar'var , dimly reconizing he had lost his grip, rebounded off
the wall and came spinning back like a top at Illidan, and span right into him,
knocking them both to the floor. Reichi meanwhile, joined Dante in laughing at
the two.
Illidan and Dar'var went crashing to the ground, like a sack of potatoes
"Ugh...your a frisky one aren't ya?" He asked a smile on his face, He
slowly cralled over to a table and grabbed a sweetroll, quickly devouring it.
Dante finally managed to calm down and as drinking some matze as he watched,
still snickering slightly, at the performance he had just witnessed.

"So it seems, puppet, so it seems."
"Purple sweetrolls? How original, dont mind if I help myself."

"I, myself am beggining to wonder if Helseth was ever planned to show at

He looked about the room again. Hopefully the attendants of Azura he knew

"May I inquire as to why you choose a void as your home, puppet?"
*Other Celezar smiled pleasantly*
"Ah, tis not a void though, Celezar. This, this is not what I see, this is
your home."
"I do not understand, puppet..."
"Ah, let me explain then, Celezar. This void, all this emptiness you see
about yourself, this is what remains of you. These past years have destroyed
your being, slowly, bit by bit you have sold yourself, piece by piece to
Sheogorath. I have seen it in the way you react, the way you talk, walk, your
mind is a part of, or rather resides within Sheogorath's very being. You are a
puppeteer, yes, and yet puppet, puppet of Sheogorath."
"Indeed I am! I quite enjoy it as well!"
"It is good to see you respect your master, Celezar, as do I."
*Celezar then looked Other Celezar in the eye*
"I do wonder though, puppet, might I see your home, I do so long to see
it."
"Very well then, Celezar, keep in mind that it is only an illusion for
you, a materialisitic pleasure for your mental eyes to lay upon, it is only
tangible for me and me alone."
*With a gesture of Other Celezar's hands the environment takes on a drastic
change. Suddenly the two are surrounded by clouds and blue, as if they now
floated through the early morning skies of Tamriel. All around them an
impossibly long scroll made its way through the clouds, the scroll was as wide
as a road, easily able to support a group of men walking single file. The
scroll had no beggining nor end, it merely curled and wrapped around the infinite
clouds around them, upon its surface was large and scribbled writing*
"Behold, Celezar, this is my home!"
"Truly amazing, puppet, but what does it add up to?"
"This is the Golden Road, or rather my interperetation of it, long have I
walked it, searching for a beggining or end and finding neither, though I have
learned a great deal from it along the way, granting me charisma, intelligence,
and charm."
"There is no end to the Golden Road puppet, it is our existance..."
*Other Celezar grinned sickly at Celezar*
"Oh, but there is, Celezar, death. Though death is a road I am somewhat
not ready to take yet."
*At that comment both Celezar and Other Celezar chuckled aloud*

*Other Celezar suddenly clapped his hands together*
"Wakey, wakey!"
*Celezar suddenly sprang awake, the little old Breton almost jumping out of his
seat. Surveying his surroundings, Celezar quickly picked up where he had left
off before he had fallen asleep*
"Now, that was quite interesting, puppet."
"Indeed, Celezar, I shall hope to do that again some time."
*Quietly, Celezar sipped his wine goblet, still half full from where he left
off. His little golden eyes glimmered like golden coins set upon his wrinkely
face as he eyed Loranna. Truth be told, he was actually quite fascinated by
her*
"How mistress Dusk and mistress Dawn can bear such a mortal life is beyond
I..."
"Indeed, Celezar, not even master would be so humble to mortals as to wear
their flesh and bone."
*Celezar suddenly dissapeared in a puff of smoke and reapeared some feet behind
Loranna, he was levitating in mid air, he sat upon the air with his legs
cris-crossed, silently he stroked his beard as he observed Loranna*
"Fascinating creature....both of them..."

Girai stares back at her, stunned beyond words. "Your..
your father?"
Girai remembered that night in Solitude that he was simply doing research on
the idea of Sovngarde when he spoke to a large Nord.. well now that he thought
about it he did look like her.... wait, this was the woman he approached to ask
if she was alright, the one that seemed troubled! Now it was all coming clear.
It was her father that saved his life, her father that had brought him to the
old Nord... how he met Therogar. And it was the baby she carried... Girai
simply stood there without a thing coming to his mind to say, thoughts of Azura
long past even.
Loranna nods, her silver tearstreaks catching the light and accenting her
constantly shifting blue and green eyes.
"Yes; my father Gram, whom you met in Solitude. Big fellow with a red man
and beard. Awfully fond of drink and telling tales way bigger than any reality
could hope to hold."
She smiles wistfully. "Still, I saw him carry you to safety when the great
storm hit, and in that moment I saw the man I always wanted to see in him - so
though you didn't do anything directly, good Sir, you gave me a special moment
to treasure and for that I'm grateful."
An eyebrow raises in response to Celezar's attentions ...

Dur’el, Kasha, and Allimar had been separated from Loranna’s
group for quite awhile. The events of Dur’el’s “cleansing” as he liked to call
it, had him wanting to be as far away from Loranna as possible. While leaving
Gnisis they ran into a man, that told them of a great, treasure, hidden in a
old tomb close to Gnisis.
“You sure this is a good idea?” Allimar asks, looking at the dusty entrance
into the tomb.
“Better then being back there.” Dur’el says pointing to the way Loranna’s party
left Gnisis.
“We made a deal with, Aricyn.” Kasha cuts in.
“Deals are made to be broken. Besides no one told me almost dying was part of
the deal. We have the ebony so we’re set on money. We don’t need them anymore.”
Dur’el says, matter of factly.
Kasha sighs and shakes her head. “What’s gotten into you, Dur’el?” Kasha
thinks to herself.
“Come on. This tomb will make us rich, richer then they could, EVER think of
being.” Dur’el says, with a hint of malice in his voice.
“What’s wrong with you?” Kasha finally says out loud.
Dur’el ignores her, and enters the tomb without another word. Kasha and Allimar
reluctantly follow.

At the party, Mirea sat in a disgruntled heap, legs crossed on
top of her chair. Hlaalu parties were not as fun as she had imagined. The fun
of trying to imitate the snooty looks of the Dunmer around her had worn off
quickly. There was no intoxicating beverage that she as a Bosmer was allowed to
drink - it was all made from plants. Even the dancing was boring. And none of
these people were taking their clothes off to dance on tables, or chasing wild
guar through the living room, or anything interesting like that.
She had considered spiking the punch, but at the exact moment she thought about
it, General Light had turned to her and raised an eyebrow as if she could read
her mind. She considered peeing in the punch. That would serve these snooty
people right. But Loranna might notice, and she liked Loranna. No one who
wasn't a Bosmer could take a joke anyway.
Mirea rested her chin in her hands and practised flipping her hair up and down
by making a face and blowing her breath upwards.

I wake up.
My first thought: Where in Oblivion am I?
Second thought: Where's Loranna? Oh shi-
I spring upward and in about ten seconds I scramble out the door. I turn left
and run across the bridge, heading right for my small home.
I burst in the door, absently locking it back. I run upstairs and to my
dresser. I throw it open and toss off my old armor, discarding it to the side.
I grab a formal Hlaalu dress (i.e. Blue pants and shirt of Extravagant nature)
and put them on, fixing any wrinkles and such. I stare sadly for a second at
the broken blade before sheathing it. Then I take my ornamental dagger with me
and run out the door, swiping a restore health potion as I do so.
I run upstairs and take a swig of the potion. I feel life return to me and the
burns on my face disappear as I stop at the door to the council manor. I check
myself one last time, look at my bone-wings, and walk inside...

There came to Loranna's eyes a hint of grey amid the blue and the green, and
her expression grew less friendly and more like marble ...
... A simple enough plan, I suppose, Loranna thinks to herself. Hmm
... I've nothing personal against Maranda but I can't really let this go
without some sort of response - I shall have to have a talk with Allie and
Aricyn later ...
Ah, but there's monsters in the Void now; Allie's people will be cautious about
running around, especially if Meridia has been conferring with the Queen about
us over here. Hmm ...
The grey disappears and the features resume more mortal lines, and Loranna's
eyes look sad.
" ... We all must follow the paths we choose, even when the path becomes
slippery and sloped," she says quietly. "Thank you for sharing this
with me; I shall be wary of Maranda now, and take steps to protect myself and
my baby, and my Lady."

A torch suddenly lights, illuminating the tomb.
“There.” Dur’el says torch in hand.
“This place looks weird. Its not like any tomb I’ve ever seen.” Allimar says
looking around.
“I’ve seen this kinda design before... its Dwemer.” Kasha says cautiously.
“Dur’el I think this is a bad idea. We should leave.”
Dur’el continues walking further inside the tomb, ignoring Kasha.
“Dur’el, do you hear me?!!” Kasha yells.
Truth was Dur’el heard nothing, but the voices in his head that were edging him
further into the tomb. Ever since the Gnisis incident there had been a change
in Dur’el, a change so dramatic that it caught the interest of a certain God.
In the interest of pure amusement this God decided to have some fun with
Dur’el. Whispering lies, and uncertainties to him, to make him second guess
himself, and everything he had ever know. In Dur’el’s unsure state he was easy
prey. To put it simply Dur’el was being used as a toy, and slowly losing his
mind because of it.
As Dur’el slipped further, and further into the tomb, somewhere in Oblivion
Molag Bal smiled.

Her servents were all over the room, listening in on conversations
taking notes for important tasks that needed to be done important information
that was needed...
Shardie slowly wandered over to Maranda, who had fallen asleep, and shook her
awake...
'Maranda, there is a problem... Girai has betrayed our trust...'
Maranda awoke... and wearily replied... 'Has he? He did not seem to be the type
to do that... but then again, he does not seem to be the type that would like
my kind...' she stood, and smiled... 'Very well, as from this day fowarth, I
shall play the villian!'
'What? What are you on?' Shardie said... Maranda smirked a nasty smirk, 'Come,
get the others, we are leavng, our cover is blown'
She swept out of the room

QUOTE(Loranna @ Dec 16 2004, 09:09 PM)
Loranna wraps her arms around her belly, and offers Girai a sad
smile, looking almost ethereal for a second.
" ... I will," she says, leaning forward to kiss him lightly on the
cheek. "Thank you, again; maybe when this is all over if I survive,
we can meet again - maybe even go share a drink with my father."
Girai smiles at her sadly. "I pray we will both be alive to see that day."
With a brief joyful glint in his eye he smiles, speaks several words, and
disappears.

“Dur’el I’ve had enough of this.” Kasha says catching up with
Dur’el.
Kasha grabs Dur’el’s shoulder and turns him around. Kasha gasps as she stares
at Dur’el’s eyes. Kasha had know Dur’el for years, and one of the features she
liked most about him were his eyes. So seeing them pure white, with red
patches, was enough to make her heart stop.
“Al, some things wrong. We have to get out of here.” Kasha says staring at
Dur’el’s eyes.
A voice emits from Dur’el’s mouth that sounds nothing like his own. “What’s
wrong, Kasha, don’t you love me?” The mysterious, deep, homicidal voice says.
Kasha stares at Dur’el in shock. “I’m sorry.” Kasha thinks, as if Dur’el
can hear her.
She then turns on her heels, grabs Allimar, and bolts for the exit. Before
Kasha can get to it, she is beset upon by a group, of men with glowing eyes.
Kasha, and Allimar look around, as they are surrounded on all sides. Somewhere
deep in the tomb, the homicidal, voice begins to laugh hysterically.

QUOTE(Allerleirauh @ Dec 17 2004, 01:10 AM)
Mirea laughed out loud and stuck the rose behind her ear. It
clashed with her orange-red hair and made her freckles and green eyes even more
dramatic.
"You like that?" she said. "Okay, ready for it, don't you
dare drop me..."
She bounced lightly onto the balls of her feet and did a handspring off his
shoulders, nearly touching the vaulted ceiling with her toes as she sailed over
his head, and landing behind him. She caught his hands without missing a beat,
as several of the Hlaalu nobles let out startled cries and scrambled to give
them room.
Mirea winked at Dante.
Dante let out a low chuckle "Impressive move you have there" he said
Pulling her closer and marching up the dancefloor "But how about
this?" He exclaimed spinning around while launching her in the other
direction, the two mer spiraled away from each other and ended up facing each
other yet again, Dante clapped his hands and motioned for Mirea to come back.
"Wow, this gets you puffed out rather quickly" He muttered under his
own breath, awaiting Mireas move.

I laugh.
"So, two Dunmer in the room that are different from most other mer, eh?
How amusing," I take a sip of some drink. "The drink's fine, by the
way. Oh..." I look down at my clothing. "This getup is stifling. But
I have to wear it when I'm... representing... the Hlaalu... or whatever,"
I look back and away for a second.
"So what brings a hunter like you to a place like Balmora?
"I think there are enough representatives of Hlaalu here for all of
Vvardenfell. As for what brings me here, what else could it be but
Loranna?" Then he adds under his breath, "and I'm a bit of a thief,
and that only works in cities." He chuckles, then says to Tharivor,
"That Bosmer sure is taking Dante through his paces. You missed Illidan's dance
on the table by the way, he even had a Khajiit for a partner, both of them
drunk out of their skulls!"

Girai smiles at her sadly. "I pray we will both be alive to

several words, and disappears.
Once Girai is gone Loranna's face becomes a mask of dour pondering, as she
thinks about what she just learned.
The Moon Riever, from what she knew of it, was a deadly weapon - even in the
hands of a novice swordsman it could wreck havoc. Whoever went against Maranda
would need to be capable of avoiding getting hit - and she remembers Maranda's
liking of summons, which only made things worse. And that, of course, presumed
that Maranda had no other mortal allies ...
Not noticing Maranda sweeping out of the room, and only paying slight heed to
the stir Mirae causes, Loranna goes looking for Allie or Aricyn, feeling it's
time to talk now, rather than just wait ...

a little voice chirps out from the tree*
Loranna's going to start a continuation of this thread....
