Elder Scrolls Forums _ Elder Scrolls Lore _ RP: Evening Star Parade
Posted by: Loranna Dec 17 2004, 07:33 AM
In the previous installment of this thread, the main party had
reached Balmora and were welcomed as guests of King Helseth to partake of the
great feast arranged by Celezar and Sheogorath. Dancing and feasting has
occured, and romantic or relaxing interludes were on hand for many.
However, already things begin to darken; the Imperial Girai revealed to Loranna
Meridia's plans, the Daedra servant Maranda leaves to play the villianess
elsewhere in light of this, and the question of what next looms in Loranna's
mind, as she frowns at the thought of the threats facing her and her Lady - and
her baby.
As always, mirc ChatSpike channel #Loranna_RP is our official chatroom for the
event. Everyone who plays is welcomed and encouraged to join the chat so that
we may discuss plot developments and swap jokes about our characters Those who
can't get into the chatroom are encouraged to PM me about any plot ideas or
scene-effecting actions they have in mind; I will try to answer you with all
possible speed.
Part Eight begins ...

"I think there are enough representatives of Hlaalu here
for all of Vvardenfell. As for what brings me here, what else could it be but
Loranna?" Then he adds under his breath, "and I'm a bit of a thief,
and that only works in cities." He chuckles, then says to Tharivor,
"That Bosmer sure is taking Dante through his paces. You missed Illidan's
dance on the table by the way, he even had a Khajiit for a partner, both of
them drunk out of their skulls!"
I laugh at the thought.
"I don't know who to feel sorry for, Illidan or the Khajit!"

QUOTE(w0nders @ Dec 17 2004, 12:18 AM)
Dante let out a low chuckle "Impressive move you have
there" he said Pulling her closer and marching up the dancefloor "But
how about this?" He exclaimed spinning around while launching her in the
other direction, the two mer spiraled away from each other and ended up facing
each other yet again, Dante clapped his hands and motioned for Mirea to come
back.
"Wow, this gets you puffed out rather quickly" He muttered under his
own breath, awaiting Mireas move.
"Don't hurt yourself, pretty boy!" Mirea said, laughing. "How
about this one?"
She flipped upside down and stood on her hands, using her hands instead of feet
for a few moments. Her knee-length skirt fell around her shoulders, and Dante
was treated to an understanding of at least one of the reasons the
Hlaalu nobles had gasped when she did the flip over Dante's head.
"Mirea!" Allerleirauh called, from across the room. Allerleirauh's
usually strong voice emerged as a squeak, and she collapsed against the banquet
table in helpless laughter, as Mirea flipped back upright, turned, and looked
at her with the irreproachable dignity of a cat.

'What are you doing in there!' Yelled Shardie through the door
of thier shared room... the door suddenly opened... 'Umm, thats a new look...
did you dye your robe or somthing?'
'Ha,' Maranda said, 'Even if I tryed to dye it nothing would happen... this is
a new robe...' of course, it does not posess the enchantments of the previous
one... I might summon my prince later and get her to change the colour, but a
Villian has to be in black...' The black robe, with a hood upcontrasted with
her pale white skin and ice blue eyes...'I have a bunch in there, so you get
changed too... and get Daidez and 'he-who-hunts-elves' here as well to get
changed... I shall meet you at the bar downstairs, and we shall discuss our
revised plans'

Loranna, spotting Allie, heads toward her, expression set in stone ...
Upon hearing Allie squeak, Loranna looks over in time to see Mirea's dance
step, and Loranna turns her head to conceal six seconds of Nordic Mirth.
She then resumes her walk toward Allie, features set in stone with the
occasional tug at the corner of her lip.

"I don't know who to feel sorry for, Illidan or the Khajit!"
"I don't know either, but it was a treat for the crowd, excepting some of
the more uptight Mer," Then he sees Mirea flip, "Nice catch Dante!
They can't be too happy about that either."

Arynel's eyes grew wide as he eyed Mirea.
"That one has brought to us a dance move most daring." The Breton
said with a smile. "And of quite flamboyant fashion."

Being surrounded on all sides by death, Allimar does, what he
always does in situations like this... he panics, and hyperventilates.
“I cant take this, I cant take this, I cant take...” Allimar says, gasping
between each breath.
“Shut up, and let me think!” Kasha begs, as she appears to be looking in all
directions at once.
Kasha sniffed the air, she’d smelt that stench before. The rotten flesh, the
blood... they were vampires. She’d tangled with some before, but she had Dur’el
to help, and there weren’t so many of them. Kasha sighed as the reality of the
situation they were in, caught up with her... they were going to die.
“Alright, NOW you can start screaming.” Kasha says to Allimar.

I stare. It's all you can do when you see a flip like that.
"The old guys in the House are going to have a heart attack over this
one," I lift a drink to the brave Bosmer who... went head over heels.
Looking back at Teleran, I say:
"I am the most non-noble noble there is, I think. Look at all the old
guys,"

chuckled, rubbing his chin, It was now that he had momentarily let his guard

Everyone sat down around the table, all looking uncomftable in
thier black robes...
'Very well, our cover is blown... so there is a change of strategy... we are
small and weak, they are large and many... but that is thier weakness, we shall
start taking out Loranna's supporters. They are large and slow, we are few and
nimble... Our weakness is in Destructive Magicks... I know a few spells, but
nothing that could be launched from a hill into a mass of Loranna Worshipers...
So we shall pick them off one by one, with summons, Dremora, and the like...
They should be heading to Ghostgate next... we shall head to the canyon that
leads there (Foyda, Maranda) and wait... I want you all to be ready in 17
minutes, I have to summon Meridia for a while...'

"Couple small things ..." Loranna says quietly, glancing over at
Mirea just one more time ...
First, I think we'll have to nix your idea of seeking fast-travel from the
Mages Guild; I was told a little earlier that there seems to be some movement
within the Guild to oppose me. Could lead to some problems down the road and we
might want to keep anyone associated with me clear of the Guild till things are
resolved.
Second, I've just been informed that Meridia is officially out to kill me - and
that she's gotten the Moon Reiver, the Cuirass of the Savior's Hide, and ...
Azura's True Name to her servant, Maranda. And I'm suspicious neither is
planning on waiting till Sen-Yedda is born before using these against me.
Seeing Samuel, Loranna smiles briefly, but her attention is focused on her
conversation with Allie.

As for now? ... From what little I know, between the Reiver, the Cuirass, and
her summons Maranda's dangerous enough to hurt a lot of people if she ambushed
us. I don't doubt your ability to stop her but I was wondering if it might not
be safer for all to try setting a trap for her - change our planned route a
bit, try to lure her into an ambush, get those artifacts out of circulation
before there's a chance they're let loose on civilians.

I agree about the artifacts. Although the real danger is to any twit who
might try using the thing. Mucking about with daedra almost never works out the
way you expect it to. But then I suppose I don't have to tell you that.
Everyone's a little drunk right now; especially Aricyn. Let's talk about this

speak to them with her description.
This she did, having a few words with the guards about Maranda and the other
members of her small band.

One vampire took the initiative and leap at Kasha, which was a
grave mistake. Kasha may have been outnumbered, and cornered but she wasn’t
going to give up. Right as the vampire was landing on top of Kasha, its head
was sliced instantly from its shoulders. The vampire slumped on the floor as
Kasha held her blade in front of her, as if to say to the remaining vampires
that death wouldn’t come easy to her...
“Make yourself useful.” Kasha says sliding a dagger to Allimar.
The vampires begin to close in.
Suddenly a blinding flash of light explodes inside of the tomb, temporarily
blinding, Kasha, and Allimar. Kasha opens her eyes to see most of the vampires
incinerated, or hiding from the tremendous light. Kasha turns towards the
source of the blast and finds Dur’el smiling at her.
“I couldn’t....” Dur’el starts, then collapses to one knee.
In Oblivion Molag Bal frowns at the recent turn of events, then cracks a smirk.
Nice move mortal. Using the powers I gave you, to destroy my followers.
Back in the tomb Kasha, and Allimar run over to Dur’el.
“Come on, get up. We have to get out of here.” Kasha quickly says.
All three start to head for the entrance, as a voice shakes the tomb’s
foundation with its deepness.
“I tire of this game. Its gotten old.” The voice says shaking the tomb.
“Dur’el you finally broke my will, I should have never threatened the Dunmer in
your presence. That was my mistake, but now this game is over and you will die.
All of your souls will be mine... NOW!”
At the end of the sentence a loud rumbling is heard and the entrance to the
tomb is filled with vampires and demons, all charging, full speed, at Kasha’s
party...

Me debunk a Tamriellian myth?
And take my life in my hands?
On the first of Morning Star we can summon Meridia
We can summon Meridia, forget Numidia!
I'll get the Masque of Clavicus Vile
We'll go around the town in style
People will wave even from a distance...
We can summon Meridia
We can summon Meridia
We can summon Meridia where my great plans begin!

Arynel's ears perk up at the song from the tree.
"It appears I have been bested." The Breton says with a smile.
"But perhaps I can add a bit of my own."
With a wave of his hand, Arynel summons up a lute and begins to play along with
the song.

Seeing the hordes of Demons running at them, only one word came
to Dur’el’s mind... run. And so they did, hearing the screams of
monsters, and feeling death nip at their heels, until they came up to a dead
end, with a door.
“Damn, it’s the end of the tomb!” Dur’el yells.
“Well open the door!” Allimar replies.
“Way ahead of you.” Kasha says, already picking at the lock. “Got it!”
All three slip inside the room, barely shutting the door before the demons got
to it.
“Now what?” Dur’el says.
“Don’t know. There’s only one way in, and one way out.” Kasha says gravely.
“Oh no, we’re gonna die in here! We’re gonna starve to death! I can feel it
now... my stomach, I’m SO hungry!” Allimar says hopping up and down.
“Get a hold of yourself. We’ve only been in here for less then five minutes.”
Dur’el says.
“Hey, look at this room.” Kasha says.
Everyone begins looking around, and notices that the whole room, looks like a
giant machine, with a small lever at the base of it.
“What could this place be?” Dur’el says raising an eyebrow.
“I don’t know. The Dwemer were in to some weird stuff.” Kasha says.
They all begin looking around the room, as loud thumps can be heard coming from
outside the door.
Posted by: Arrogant_Hero Dec 17 2004, 08:54 AM
The thumping outside the door gets louder and harder.
“That doors not gonna hold them.” Kasha says, looking at the already dented
door.
“Its only a matter of time.” Dur’el says quietly.
“Who’d have thought it would end like this” Dur’el thinks “All these
years of traveling with Kasha... all the things I’ve done. And now I’m going
out like a coward, hiding inside of a room.”
Dur’el sighs and shakes his head.
As if Kasha can read Dur’el’s mind she says. “Don’t worry when they come in
we’ll fight every last one of them, until we fall. It’s the heroes way to go.”
A loud thump makes all three jump, as a large crack forms in the door.
“Its almost time.” Dur’el says unsheathing his daggers.
Another loud thump, shakes the room as the crack gets bigger, and a arm lurches
through the opening.
“Dur’el... I love you.” Kasha says standing next to him.
“Who doesn’t?” Dur’el replies, staring at the door.
A last thump breaks the door off its foundations, and sends it flying to the
back of the room. The demons eye their meal and attack...
Posted by: Arrogant_Hero Dec 17 2004, 09:44 AM
Allimar stands at the back of the room, next to the mysterious
lever, quivering in fear, as the demons attack. Kasha and Dur’el quickly spring
into action. Allimar watches wishing he could do something, and also reveling
in the amazing way Dur’el, and Kasha were fighting off the demons. It was as
if, they where not just fighting for themselves, but for each other.
The fighting goes on for what, in Allimar’s mind, seems like hours. Dur’el and
Kasha seem to be wining until, Kasha gets deeply cut from a claw of a demon.
This sends Dur’el on a blind rage, he begins to thrash wildly, and quickly,
chopping at anything that moves. Kasha retreats to the back of the room with
Allimar, as Dur’el continues fighting. The demons finally get the best of
Dur’el and slash him DEEP on his right arm, and chest. Dur’el retreats,
defeated, to the back of the room, where Kasha and Allimar are.
“This is it.” Dur’el says.
Dur’el backs up to the wall, as the demons stare at Dur’el’s party, almost
taunting them, before they swoop in for the final strike. Dur’el grabs Kasha’s
hand and accidentally hits the mysterious switch on the wall. A blinding, flash
suddenly engulfs the room. When the flash dies down, the demons outside the
room, look inside of it, to see that everyone that was in the room has vanished.
Deep in Oblivion Molag Bal laughs in triumph.

Wrothgarian Mountains, High Rock
The Queen of Wayrest, Elysana, flung her bedsheets to the side and rang for her
servants. They were still frightened, expecting the most maniacal of madnesses,
but instead she gave them something that was merely mildly crazy.
'Pack,' she said. 'I would travel tomorrow.'
'For how long would you be gone?' her maid Yrgnella asks.
'A couple weeks,' said the Queen. 'I will be visiting Morrowind.'

Coldharbour, Oblivion
The Psijic continued walking. Several yards away, a scamp stood in B’s path,
cocked his head to one side, and continued down the corridor. Not much of a
greeting, but what did B expect. He found himself in, what amounted to, a
waiting room. He simply wasn’t going to open any door he pleased and enter. No
matter how he felt about the princes, he wasn’t about to desecrate their
domain. He would have to be patient. Time meant nothing in Oblivion.

Nalion had left the group for a while, unnoticed, and had
trailed behind slowly. The road in front of him led southward, through the
Bittercoast Region. After some time of travel, he could see the town wall and
the guard towers of Caldera in the distance. The Breton mage quickened his step
and after a short while, he passed through the gates of the imperial town.
The watchmen standing guard at the gates stared at him suspiciously, and when
Nalion looked down at himself, he could understand them. He looked rather
ragged, his red-and-black Telvanni robe was travel-worn and stained by the long
walk, and the heavy rain back at Koal Cave had bleached some of the colours. He
needed a shave and a bath, too. He took a room for some few hours to rest and
to get himself presentable again. After he had washed and shaved, Nalion felt
like he was born anew, the only lack now was appropriate clothing, and so the
Breton went shopping..
"I need to get out of these rags. They're dirty, and now they're
uncomfortable. And they too loudly say 'This one's a Telvanni'..."
He had in mind to take the fast-travel service of the local Mages guild, and
given the 'animosity' between these two factions, refusal of service was likely
if he showed off as Telvanni mage.
As he stepped out of the clothier's shop, he felt much better. The new robe,
blue with slight traces of gold at the sleeves, and the yellow stole around his
neck fit him well. The shirt and pants he wore under it were held in the same
colour. He didn't look like a noble, but still like one of the more wealthy
commoners.
Such outfitted, he entered the Caldera Mages guild, paid the travel fee and was
quickly transported to Balmora.
As Nalion stepped out of the Balmora guildhouse onto the traders' street, he
was immediately washed away by the merriment and fun the people had in the
streets. "Helseth!", "Azura" and "Mother" cheers
can be heard, interspersed by "Hurrahs" and other cries of joy.
There was food and drink aplenty, and people were eating, dancing and
celebrating.
Astonished, Nalion smiled back and joined the crowd.
The careful observer though might notice that while Nalion seemed to enjoy
himself, he still talked to various people, inquiring about what is happening
here...

the four of then sat around a fire... Maranda's Robe of
Cleanleness was now a nasty shade of black, thanks to the Daedric Dye of
Blackining...
'So what are we to do now?' Daidez asked
'A number of things. Shardie and myself will head for Ghostgate, Daidez, you
must go teach that Girai the meaning of betraying us, go and assassinate him...
Elvie, head for Mornhold, carry these fake credentials to gain access to the
king... on your way, stop by the garrison at Castle Ebonheart and deliver this
letter to the commander of the garrison. That is all... any questions... yes,
Daidez?'
'Why am I going to assassinate Girai?'
'Because have the best skills in this dark profession. Now, let us go, we shall
all meet in Vivec in ten days or so...'

"I need to take a walk", Azrael muttered, talking to
himself as he exited Balmora. He couldn't stop thinking about the significance
of the weapon Eliin offered him a day ago being his father's.
The dunmer had only been walking for a short while, when he realized he had
traveled far from the town; "Very well, it seems my walk has already taken
me further than I intended to go--what could a few more minutes do?".
Azrael continued walking when he heard, clear as a bell Pick up your feet,
now. He looked around, trying to determine where the voice had come from.
Seeing nothing, he decided to continue his walk, but pulled his blade slowly
from the sheath he kept in the pocket of his robe, clenching the handle
tightly.
Up ahead, only a few yards down the road he now trudged along, he spotted a
figure, silhouetted against the darkness; wary, he walked at a slower pace,
careful not to allow his steps to waver. As he neared the figure, he realized
that it was not alone, and something in the back of his mind told him that this
was no longer a safe stroll. . .

'So, why are we heading back towards Balmora if we want to get
away from it?' asked Shardie
'Because we took the wrong route, ok? I got lost, there I admit it!' Maranda
said, frustrated
'Maranda, there is someone over there!' Shardie said, pointing to a nearby
figure
'It could be Loranna's guards...' Maranda drew the Moon Riever Sword, 'Stranger,
show yourself!'
Posted by: Anghardel67 Dec 17 2004, 06:22 PM
Azrael watched as the figure drew a large blade, the metal
glinting in the faint light, resonating a slight glow as the area immediately
around it began to brighten slightly. He took a second to note the uniqueness
of the blade, and realized then that it was the Moon Reiver Sword, from a
description Eliin had once given him. He thought to himself, preparing for a
confrontation, "I have heard of this sword. It is a threat to Loranna, and
must not be brought to her."
He called out to the figure, "Mer, where did you obtain that weapon? You
call me stranger, but to me, you are the stranger. Identify yourself first, and
your companion as well--you see me here now, alone, unaccompanied. I do not
wish for trouble, I am only out on a casual stroll."
As he finished his dialogue, he positioned his feet beneath the large, black
robe he wore, and slipped he dagger he held behind his back.

"You say you are a simple wandered; how then do you propose
to explain to me this approach of yours? Why do you come forward with such a
blade as this? You would do well not to carry it with you to meet the
incarnate, trust me here."
Azrael watched as the Breton stepped out into the light, her sword in a
position that affored an attack on her part. "So", he thought,
"this one wishes to fight, now. This blade must not come close to the
incarnate"
"I would have you name, traveler," the Dunmer requested, standing his
ground.

Maranda similed... 'Charmed to meet you, a shame that one as
cute as yourself must die...' Maranda sheathed her sword quickly, and placed
her hand over the ring of the Shadow Mind... envoking the mystical words, the
Flame Morarch, Flamey appeared ROAR!
Posted by: Anghardel67 Dec 17 2004, 06:44 PM
Startled by the sight of a creature appearing out of a hazy,
magical fog, Azrael retreated a few steps in the opposite direction of his
opponent, eyeing the strange new being as it flailed about, wreathed in flame.
"What IS this thing?" he thought aloud. He looked in time to see the
Breton woman smirk, before the beast jumped at him.
The Dunmer dodged it quickly, kicking it's backside as it sped by. Ember-like
substance attached itself to his foot, and burned him slightly; he could feel
this when he set it back on the earth. Taking full advantage of this moment, he
charged the woman, as the creature turned around.
"You will perish yet wench," he muttered, as he darted to her left,
drawing his blade. . .

Seeing the Dunmer charging towards her, she once more drew her
sword... and prepared herself in a combat stance...
However, Flamey had changed direction, lauching a low powered fire spell,
knocking Azrael to the grond... Maranda placed her sword in the ground and
smiled... The Flame Monarch would have too if he could smile... ROAR! Flamey said in a satisfied tone,
raising his blade for the kill... Maranda smiled... this was the end... Flamey
suddenly vanished... weakened by his battle the day before, he returned to
oblivion to his family... Maranda was in trouble now...

"What luck!", Azrael thought to himself, seeing the
Atronach standing over him vanish. He jumped quickly to his feet, seeing his
opponents face change gestures. "Without your Atronach, what will you do
now, Breton?". He pressed his thumb strongly against the hilt of his
weapon, standing up, only a few feet from the woman.

A nasty smirk came across Maranda's face... 'You are a cute one,
I shall let you live...' she whispered a few words, and three Dremora were
summoned to the area... 'We shall meet again, Azrael, and then, you will be
mine...' with a wink, Maranda and Shardie started running towards the east...
Azrael's path was blocked by the Dremora
Posted by: Anghardel67 Dec 17 2004, 07:10 PM
"Yes, we will meet again," the Dunmer thought, adding
a mental note to warn the incarnate of this woman upon his return to the city,
and he would be turning to the city. From his immediate left he heard a
rather disturbing noise, like the groan of an alit when punctured with an
arrow, but an octave lower. He turned to see a triad of dremora, standing
poised in combat-like stances, armed, all three, with various weapons--a short
sword, a halberd-like weapon, and an unindentifiable blade, respectively.
"This woman seems to love her conjurations, doesn't she?", he
remarked, throwing an insidious look at the overconfident daedra standing
there.
He continued to stand still for a moment, watching the three change positions
to stand side-by-side. As the last rooted it's feet in place, Azrael pounced,
appearing almost beast-like in his attack. He was able to overtake the first in
a flash, before it knew to do anything, taking his blade to it's throat; he
pulled harshly to the left, and watched it's body vanish into a small pile of
ash, the weapon left in his world.
From behind him he heard a slight clank, as the second of the group readied
himself, pointing his weapon in Azrael's direction. "Watch yourself,
demon", the Dunmer uttered, turning quickly to face the Dremora, the
weapon of the first clenched in his hand. He made a dash at the creature, and
swung the larger weapon quickly, watching the demon smack it out of the way--as
it did this, Azrael slammed his dagger into it's side, and used all his weight
to push it to the ground, stepping on it's face and twisting his heel. This
one, at first, did not vanish as the first one had, and Azrael plunged his
weapon once more into it's torso, turning to face the last.
This one had markings unlike the first two, and wielded a more deadly looking
weapon. It spoke to him, in the most repulsive voice he had ever heard,
"Very well, mer", it said.
Azrael lowered his stance, bending his knees until his head was level with the
creature's waist. Before he was able to make his own move, the creature charged
him, sword over his head. It came down with a *thudding* sound, in the place
where Azrael sat, as the Dunmer rolled out of the way. He kicked his opponents
head sharply, sending it to the ground; attempting to jump on this one, as he had
with the first two, he was thrown off, more than a metre in destance.
"A tough one we have here," he noted, breathing heavily. The daedra
hoisted itself up with the aid of the blade it carried, and Azrael charged it
as quickly--once a foot away he grabbed it's shoulders, kicking towards a left
kneedcap, hearing a sharp snap and watching it fall to it's knees, making a
noise he could only guess was a scream. Quickly, Azrael threw it's weapon away,
and placed his right leg over it's right arm, pulling back, nearly ripping it
from it's socket. The Dunmer placed his own blade at the throat of this demon,
muttering, "Now, this is your time". As with the first, he pulled his
arm sharply towards the right, and released the dremora, watching it fall to
the ground, and disappear.
Azrael wasted no time in retreating back to the city, limping slightly from the
burn on his foot. "This woman shall not harm the incarnate, I will make
sure of this. . ."

"There's a way," Azure muttered to himself. "There's always a

*Several of the assorted passersby and even vagrants looked at Azure oddly*
"...something about...castle...loyal..." was all Azure heard as he

"Why would two nobles be in these less desirable neighborhoods?"
Azure asks to himself as he turns back.
"Can either of you please tell me..." Azure started to ask as one of

The great festival had commenced for some time now, the erratic state of
Balmora blurred the line between day and night now, people slept where they
fell drunk in the streets, half emtpy carts of still steaming food rolled about
aimlessly, shouts of anger and merriness flew from the festival tents outside.
Inside the Hlaalu Guildhouse, things were slightly less madenned, mostly due to
the entry of only invited guests who were civilized enough to behave, though
that is not to say that all the entertainers and musicians inside had not
created a merry party within*
"So, this party was meants for the host of Dusk and Dawn. I do wonder
though, what is it that drives Azura to this state?"
"I am sure it is because she lacks what master Sheogorath has."
"Oh, and what might that be, Celezar?"
"Dominion over all, puppet, he is the grand puppeteer of us all!"
"Indeed, Celezar, indeed..."

*He walked over to the table and picked at the food. Oh the food! There was
grilled Slaughterfish, Mudcrab pie, rolls, dip. All varieties of bread and

The Queen of Wayrest, Elysana, flung her bedsheets to the side and rang for her
servants. They were still frightened,
expecting the most maniacal of madnesses, but instead she gave them something
that was merely mildly crazy.
'Pack,' she said. 'I would travel tomorrow.'
'For how long would you be gone?' her maid Yrgnella asks.
'A couple weeks,' said the Queen. 'I will be visiting Morrowind.'
Elysana's maid found the necklace, while packing, and delivered it to her
mistress.
The necklace was a delicate thing, made for a royal child, hung with a pendant
shaped like a rose.
With the necklace was a note, in very precise, careful handwriting.
Your Majesty,
You can't keep bad things out without keeping out good things as well. I hope
you will accept this small gift in the spirit in which it was intended.
your servant,
T. Gaerington

Azrael dragged himself back into Balmora, and headed for an
infirmary; "Where is the blasted thing? I know it's around here
somewhere". He recalled being healed once in a Temple and, having needed
healing few times since his arrival in Vvardenfell, headed towards it. On the
way he looked over at the Hlaalu Council hall, still hearing the party roaring
on, thinking to himself, "I will tell her, but it will wait until the
party has finished. That woman, whoever she was, headed opposite the town; we're
safe, for now."
The Dunmer arrived at the entrance to the Temple building, and was greeted by a
rather cheery, stout Imperial. "Dunmer, you look as though you could use
some healing. Come in now, and allow us to tend your wounds." Azrael
looked up and replied, in a low voice, "You read my mind, Imperial.
Please. . .lead the way". He picked up his pace, following the acolyte,
cringing at every step.
He was led into a small room, just right of the entrance, and sat down on a
bed. "I shall return shortly," the pudgy man announced, and he
strolled quickly off, whistling a faint, but familiar, tune. Azrael waited for
what seemed like a lifetime, but in reality was 5 minute, maybe a little more,
before hearing the whistling grow closer. He gazed at the door to the room,
waiting for it to move, when he heard the noise stop, and light chatter ensue.
He perked his ears up, straining to hear the voices from where he sat, not
wanting to risk getting closer to the door.
"There is a Dunmer in here who has a rather nasty looking burn on his
foot; he's been getting into some trouble, I can tell--that's an Atronach
Burn"
"Very well, Iann'. It doesn't matter how he has come to this harm; he is
on our temple now, and we must see to him as any other."
He sat back as the door opened, and watched an elder Dunmer enter. The Old mer
smiled, revealing wrinkles well over 200 years in age, as he whisked himself
across the room, ending at Azrael's side. "Ahh, you have some nasty burns
on this foot Mr. . .erm?"
Not wanting to hand out his name to someone he did not know so eagerly, he drew
something from his imagination. He replied, answering the first thing that
popped onto his tongue, "My name is Jiualtar, dunmer."
"Please," the mer replied, "Call me Gzareein." Azrael
smirked, as the Priest took a look at his foot, "If I can pronounce that
again," he thought.
Gzareein looked over his foot a few times, casually asking, "Where did you
get this burn? It looks rather nasty, a magic based flame no doubt." Not
knowing what to say, Azrael once more delved into his creative side, pulling
out a reasonable excuse, "I was helping a family member to start a fire
with minimal wood," he said, "It was a small fireball spell gone
wrong." He could tell that the priest did not believe him, but that didn't
matter now, he had already shared the excuse.
He watched as the old mer uttered a gangle of words, and wrapped a small piece
of cloth around his foot, with a type of ointment on it, which he informed
Azrael, "Was the product of the old Balmora Alchemy student Azrael, who
left about a day or so ago for Gnisis." "Hah," he said to
himself, " I thought I recognized that. Mmm, the smell of golden kanet;
wonderful."
"You must be careful with this foot; the ointment is predicted to heal
your wound within the hour, but you mustn't rub the cloth too much, or it won't
take full effect."
Azrael stood up, smiling, and thanked the priest, heading out the door, back to
his home for now. He could feel the old Dunmer's eyes on his back for the
duration of his walk. . .

“Where did you find it, girl?” the Queen asked, shocked by how soft her own
voice sounded. Almost girlish.
It angered Elysana, this weakness, and she snatched the note and the letter out

When the maid left, the Queen put the necklace on and looked at herself in the

Over the past few hours, Nalion had inquired about the
happenings in the town, that Azura had arrived, King Helseth held a feast to
honour her and so on. The rumours he heard of Azura being with Helseth's child
were just that, rumours, to be exact, several versions of rumours...
Still, the one rumour that a great feast and celebration was occurring in the
Hlaalu Manor, was too common to be denied fully. Thus, Nalion made his way
through the crowd towards the western part of the town, to the manor district.
The two guards in front of the entrance waved him through without much
objection.
Nalion straightened and tugged at his robe. He seemed a bit nervous, having
never truly attended a ball...
Standing in front of the doors to the main room, the Breton mage takes a deep
breath, then he swings them open and enters, looking at the scenery in front of
him and searching for friendly faces.

Even for the incarnate of Azura, there was only so much dancing and being on
her feet that she could take for one day - especially considering her
pregnancy. As the night wore on and people began either succumbing to fatigue,
iniberation, or just plain desire for quiet, Loranna looks for a comfy chair on
which to sit, to let her feet get the rest they sorely need.
Taking a sweetroll and a glass of water with her, she steers away from the
larger clumps of sitting people, and finds an open chair at a table, where a
few books have been left. Setting her food and drink down, she picks up one
title - Master Zoaraym's Tale - and begins reading through it, growing
increasingly drawn into the tale of a priest's lesson in the importance of
beginning as well as advanced knowledge.

Loranna hears Arynel's voice, his distinctive tone and playing carrying over
the din of peoples' conversations with a supple grace that made it all sound so
easy to just pick up a lute and let one's heart sing.
Loranna sips her water and lets her mind drift a bit, thinking back to the last
few days in Skyrim, and her talk with Arynel while Lord Ciel's forces
approached ...
It was just like all the other pain she had felt now - still there, still part
of her, but no longer bring new tears or heated arguments in her own head about
how she was such a bad person but so was everyone else or anything like that.
It was, simply, what had happened; she bore the mark of the tears cried and
continued on, to find new pain and new lessons to learn.
She thinks, not for the first time, that her whole sojurn through Skyrim was a
series of lessons learned dearly, though never timely - the things she figured
out on her own still felt right but had no real relevance to what she was going
through at the time, nor any real use to those around her, and the lessons she
learned the hard way .... were the epitome of hindsight. And doubtless, more
lessons were forthcoming. She wonders briefly if she'll have learned all she
was meant to learn by the time she dies or if there will still be things left
unlearned.
She sighs; such thoughts were silly and didn't do anything helpful. She learned
hard elssons and will learn more; just so long as she didn't start forgetting
what she had learned, then everything should be as all right as it could be.

Once upon a time
In an age so far away
A land so beautiful flourished

Thick golden forests and dew on the leaves
These stories and fables, myths and tales
Fuel our fires and fill our sails
Pushing us forward and driving us on
Our glimpse of reality now is gone
Throwing us to darkness…condemning us to lies
All you fakes people ignoring my cries
To get back to reality to get back to truth
Fighting your fakeness, ignoring your couth
I struggle on alone and aware

"Yes, Azure and myself were together at the cave of the dog." Nalion

And so, as the party began to calm down a bit, Dagoth become
bored once again. 'There is nothing to do in this place....... everyone who
doesn't know me well avoids me because of the dreadful presence I have to all
but my comrads and friends. Hm...... maybe I can try summoning something to
perform for everyone?'
Dagoth feels a mental tap on his shoulder. Dear, I think the Grandmaster
would be a mite perturbed if people started summoning things, she says
gently.
The party's hitting a lull; it happens. Trust me, best to just sit back and
relax while you can.

believe...the locals, including the legion garrison are searching for whomever
the lady was working for. SHe made mention that it had to do with the events in

and killing their three highest leaders there...not sure specifically what
because jsut after that, she lunged at me and I wished for minimal bloodshed,
so I amputated her hand from the wrist below in a single swipe with my blade. I
hate having to draw the blade's first blood when the blood is of one who would

"As for Azure, you say we went West and North?" Erenius continues.
"Likely to High Rock, to Daggerfall...from there, I have no idea where he
be going, but I'd imagine to Wayrest...trying to make a few more coins from me,
and the party. And I feel that that lady may verily been contacted by Azure
while he was on the ship west."

Nearly to his house, Azrael decided that he would rather not
spend the night alone; in light of the party, he chose to head back to the
Hlaalu council building. Upon arriving at the plateau, he notices that things
have begun to slow down, and that Orion is standing outside of the building. He
hears a greeting, and smiles, striding, with a slight limp, over to the source.
"Ahh, hello there!" he exclaims, happy to hear the voice of a friend,

“I would say that perhaps our present location would be ill advised given it’s

Watching her knowing smile, Nalions eyes shade for a moment.
"We all have our secrets. You, Loranna, probably have the most. Or is
it just me seeing secrets in other when there is but ingnorance in myself?
Doubts, there are always doubts, and different shades of grey." Nalion
thinks, ignorant of Lorannas ability to read minds.
"I see things are put in capable hands then." Nalion says loud and
offers a polite bow to Loranna and the Breton.
He watches the sweetrolls disappear and reappear again, shooting a glance and a
wink at Arynel.
"... Actually that was just me trying to imply that the trip had its ups
and downs," Loranna says to Nalion with a wink. "Sorry; didn't mean
to make it sound more profound than it was."
Turning to Liris and Erenius, Loranna closes her eyes, hiding her initial
reaction to the idea ...
" ... I can see the point to your suggestion, my Lord," she says
after a moment. "I also see that providing for and defending such a
foothold would be a fairly engrossing undertaking, and that it has the
potential to ... unsettle certain people, shall we say?"

To Erenius he returns, “My good Sir, I am called Liris.”

*Celezar pops the lid off of one jar, procceding then to scoop a handful of the

which is littered with meats of all sorts. Rapidly, the meats spring to life,
dancing madly about, sending the crowd into mass panic. A woman screams as crab
