In the previous installment of this thread, the euphorea of the
miracle of Loranna's 'rebirth' began to cause friction, as the supporters of
Azura began converting Ghostgate into a Temple to the Dusk and Dawn. Allerleirauh
spoke mockingly, inciting a riot, and blood was spilled - though, thanks to
preperations by other parties, not nearly as much as it might have been. A
despondant Loranna is shown the fruits of her followers' labors and begins to
realize just how aimless they really are at times ...
Meanwhile, others contniue to prepare for their own destinies; Maranda, Dur'el,
and Arynel all take action to pursue the paths they know they must take -
Arynel taking a few lumps in the process - as Tris and Ciel continue closing in
on Morrowind, and Bosriel waits for the time when she will finally be free, her
red eyes fixing on Arynel with a devotion only a devourer of lives can truly
appreciate ...
As always, mirc irc.ChatSpike.net channel #Loranna_RP is our official chatroom

Summary for Loranna
Loranna has been reminded by Azura that she has a destiny to fulfill, and she
has been dealing with this reminder while also trying to listen to the various
people around her. Having been shown the new renovations to Ghostgate, she has
come to realize just how much she's expected to do ...
She had last went to rest for a little bit, trying to sort out her thoughts -
she didn't even feel up to trying to find solace in Dagoth's thoughts. However,
as of right now, she has gotten roped into talking with people - answering
questions on various personal matters, discussing the fundamentals of doctrine
and heirarchy, checking on the arrangements for food supplies to be shipped,
granting minor healing to people, and generally giving her time to everyone but
herself. She occasionally thinks wistfully of the adventure she had on the road
with Dagoth and Doll but a short while ago.

Recently, Arynel has vowed to take whatever action necessary to
see that the gratuitous wrongs in the world caused by recent events are set
right again.
The Breton went to the true Solunastra and fashioned a new artifact, what it's
powers are he does not know, only that it will help set things right again.
He went to the Void Ranger guildhouse in Daggerfall, and trained to fight with
a sword under Dragon, using Allerleirauh as a sparring partner.

OOC summary:
Allerleirauh, a tall slender woman with silver hair who claims to be a Nord,
was last seen at the Void Ranger Guildhouse in Daggerfall, practicing
swordfighting with Arynel. She plans to return to Loranna, but isn't too sure
of her welcome after their last parting.
Skein, a mature Imperial woman, the seer of Solunastra, and Dragon, an old Nord
man who is Allerleirauh's second in command, remain at Solunastra. Dragon is
doing research to try to learn more about Bosriel, the Void Vampire.
Mirea, the red-headed Bosmer spy, has been sent to determine just what money
has been paid to Loranna's followers and who is behind it all.
Doll, the Akaviri girl, remains in disguise, with Solin, with Loranna's
followers.
Tris (aka Mirror) has a new fake limb, courtesy of the House of Dibella, which
looks like his old one due to illusion but isn't all that great in terms of
functionality.

Summary-
Reichi, has sat around ghostgate some, found a dead person's heart, and is
about to spar with Issa, who has a very odd katana.
Dar'Var was caught sleeping in a cart by Erenius and fled, after tossing a
bottle at Erneius and then later returned.
Tarenen and the Hunters became allies with Maranda and friends.

Ghostgate:
Allerleirauh returned to the Ghostgate, not by her usual string of power, but
by jumping directly to Doll's side. There were even more people than before, it
seemed. She frowned at the construction, and swallowed a wave of nausea. Surely
this was an end of an era.
"I have something for you," Doll said. "A present. For New
Life."
Doll handed her a wrapped gift.
"No one has missed it yet," Doll said. "But they will, and then
Aricyn will get in trouble, because he was supposed to be in charge of
it."
The package was very heavy. And when she shook it, it sounded like money.
"Shh," Doll said, smiling.
"Child," Allerleirauh said, "I should spank you for going
through the Void, with that creature still loose. But you are a clever
little girl."

Arynel looked around the guildhouse, then turned his attention
to Skein.
"If you don't mind the intrusion." The Breton began, eyeing the
middle aged Imperial. "Who are you?"

" ... Rise and go with Azura's blessing," Loranna says
with yet another smile to yet another person who had questions that only a
goddess could answer. The Dunmer who had been kneeling at her feet rises
humbly, still bowing, and backs away, feeling peace now that he had been told
by Azura Herself that his poetry was pleasing to her eyes, and he could hardly
wait to begin reciting his hymns to praise the Mother Goddess.
Loranna turns her head for a second to yawn without opening her mouth, feeling
the muscles in her face ache slightly. She has just enough time to complete
stretching her jaw out before two more Dunmer girls come to ask the goddess to
resolve a dispute they were having ...
Loranna smiles once more and listens, trying to resolve this by asking gentle
but pointed questions ...

to Skein.
"If you don't mind the intrusion." The Breton began, eyeing the
middle aged Imperial. "Who are you?"
"I was wondering when you would ask," Skein said. She was really a
very striking woman for her age; her black eyes were fathomless, and her dark
brown hair lay heavy on her shoulders. "Since we've eaten many a meal
together, and you know my name, I suppose you're asking something different. I
am Skein, the one who sees the shining threads. I came to the General twenty
years ago because I saw her shining. And now I see a new light. Who are you,
exactly?"

The Breton took a deep breath, gazing up at the ceiling.

Reichi grinned and wided his stance, while raising his
weapons. The Daedric shortsword was normally, while the Dagger of Senses was
held upside down. "Sure." Reichi said.
"Just be fore-warned; i've had roughly a hundred years to fine-tone my
blade skill."
"Good. The more the challenge the better. Just don't kill me."
Issa adds with a grin, he then assumes his fighting stance, and concentrates
his magick onto the blade.
The glyphs change from a runic sentance spelled out in hidden symbols to two
intertwining dragons running up and down the length of the blade.

Reichi dodged two of the 'missles' and batted another away with

his daedric shortblade at Issa's gut.

"Achk. I'm not used to fighting adversaries with two swords." he
breathes.
He kicks his feet onto Reichi's chest, hurting Reichi and removing himself off
the shortblade at the same time, and launches him back into the air. He
performs a healing spell on the way down, and lands in a ready stance.

OOC: Summary--Azrael didn't do too much in the last thread, only
managed to mull his way through the Foyada Mamaea, and somehow found himself on
the recieving end of a strange, unnatural thirst. He is currently stumbling
around the Tower of Dusk, looking for water to quench himself. . .
IC:
Azrael stumbled around for a few moments, before catching himself, collecting
his senses, and trying desperately to regain his basic motor skills, just long
enough to figure out where water might be in this tower. He walked, as calmly
as he could, given that he was quite fidgety from trying to maintain such a
composure, down a small corridor, which opened up into a large room, which he
figured to be the central area of the tower. He spotted a dunmer, laden in
Indoril armor, obviously a member of the temple, standing opposite himself in
the room. He moved towards the mer, placing one foot in front of the other, in
a rhythm he cautiously monitored, until he was face to face with the guard he
pursued.
He could sense that this Dunmer was not exactly the friendly type, and when she
spoke, it was easily apparent in her voice: "Dunmer, I do not have the
time to speak with you, why do you choose to come so close to me, when
you should obviously know better?", she murmured, barely audible.
Replying in a cool voice, holding back a barking tone, Azrael explained his
current situation, being the lack of water, and the queer, unnatural pang of
thirst which had struck him so quickly, beseeching the woman to tell him where
water was. After a moment's pause, she pointed an armored finger towards a bar
on the far side of the large chamber, and stood still again, waiting
impatiently for Azrael to move away from her. . .

Summary-
So far, Illidan has been having a vicious argument with a bouyent armiger
whilst Dante has just had a recent run in with an old familiar friend that gave
him a gift, now back to the story...
Ghostgate, tower of Dawn
a lone cloaked figure sat at a table, both of his hands bound tightly with
straps of leather, from beneath his hood he smoked a pipe, each puffhe took
made his face became illuminated a dull, red colour. The nordic face beneath
was covered in tattoos as if to say he belonged to some sort of cult, so he
sat, quietly...as if he was waiting for something.

Update:
Elysana, the Queen of Wayrest, is in a ship in the Inner Sea, bound in chains,
heading for Vivec. She was ambushed on a clandestine trip to Tel Dres on the
mainland, and is now a prisoner of her step-brother, Helseth, the King of
Morrowind.
Bosriel, a Void Vampire who appears as a little dark-haired girl with red
hungry eyes, is with Leseth. Together they have been spying on Loranna’s group,
and the King of Morrowind. They have read a letter, telling them that the Queen
of Wayrest has fallen into a trap.
Lord Dres Gaor, a noble Dunmer following Loranna, has pledged his land, his
gold, and his crops to the service of the Goddess. He has issued orders for his
crops to be sent from his plantation on the mainland to Ghostgate to support
the worshippers there, and to Vivec, the next stop on the pilgrimage.

After ordering a few jugs of water, as well as an assortment of
other liquids, Azrael managed to quench his unbearable thirst. For a moment, he
felt quite alright. . .for a moment. As he made his way about the room, now
able to take in the various distinguishable features, far too many to note, far
to few for his eyes to glance over, he noticed that there was not a single seat
to be found, save for one. Looking up, Azrael's gaze was greeted by an ominous
hooded figure, seated at the table, lone as a pebble in the center of a large
desert, and quite comfortable that way, it seemed. Though he did not wish to
take space away from this mer, Azrael was in need of a place to sit, and rest,
for a moment, and decided he would rather not use the floor or a stair for this
purpose. And so, with a tense body, he approached the table where the cloaked
figure sat.
Coughing slightly, he interrupted the silence for a moment, "I am sorry to
bother you, mer, but I feel it only proper to ask for the seat next to you
before I take it; I need somewhere to sit, and would not do this if I could
find another spot."

The cloaked figure simply looked up at the Dunmer man, who, looked rather
uncomfortable and simply blew a ring of smoke in his face. After another
another awkwards moment silence he bellowed "mer!? I aint no mer lad, I'm
a bleedin' Nord!"
After an even longer moments silence he held out a leather bound hand towards a
seat, motioning for him to take it.
Posted by: Anghardel67 Dec 31 2004, 09:16 AM
As the figure looked up, Azrael could tell that he had made a
mistake in calling him a mer; he was no mer, he was a nord, and a rather
brutish look one at that. Not wishing to anger the man, Azrael stood expressionless,
but recognizably tense, and awaited a response.
At the sound of a voice bellowing towards him, a ring of smoke, and a slight
gesture of a large, nordic hand, Azrael knew that he had been given the
courtesy of the seat. In the back of his mind, he was ready to have his seat
regardless of the answer, but he was quite relieved that he was given the chair
so easily.
"Once more, my apologize. As soon as I have rested, I will go," he
told the Nord, cracking his back as he sat. . .
Leaning forward on the table, the Dunmer's eye met with the figure
again--though it was looking down, Azrael assumed, unable to tell in the
darkness of the cloak's hood, he dared not look for too long. This nord did not
seem the type to idly stop by such a place, and one might wonder why he was
here, now. Azrael had not seen him before, so he was not sure how to place the
man, in the current 'situation', feeling as though he must be involved somehow.
The stare broke, and the pair of ashen eyes met the table--a dagger was withdrawn
from a sheath, and a small cloth ran up and down the blade, polishing away
small grains of ash.

" ... Calm yourselves dears; there will be no strife here now,"
Loranna says to the crowd. "Leave us; go and rest for the upcoming
day."
Loranna waits until Allie and she are not surrounded by people within immediate
earshot, and closes her eyes for a moment.
"What do we have left to talk about?" she asks Allie, her tone
slightly wooden.
"For what it's worth, I still choose not to allow you or Sen-Yedda to be
killed. So perhaps I should stay at your side. You know, there's a reason even
Vivec did not walk so freely. A crowd is never of a single mind. Maranda is out
there somewhere with Moon Reiver. Suppose she places it in the hand of the one
who killed your double."

Vivec, Morrowind
The ship landed in Vivec, and Elysana was escorted to the Hlaalu canton. The
citizen looked at her without curiosity. She was not dressed regally, and
Breton prisoners of the King were regular enough. For her part, Elysana acted
the part of the tourist, looking around in wonder, asking questions of her guards.
“How long ‘til the King arrives?” asked the Queen of Wayrest as they brought
her to her cell.
“We won’t keep you waiting long,” laughed one of the guards, locking the door,
leaving her alone in the dark.

QUOTE(Anghardel67 @ Dec 31 2004, 03:06 AM)
As the figure looked up, Azrael could tell that he had made a
mistake in calling him a mer; he was no mer, he was a nord, and a rather
brutish look one at that. Not wishing to anger the man, Azrael stood
expressionless, but recognizably tense, and awaited a response.
Ang
Seeing the Dunmer quickly turn his gaze to his dagger that he was now
polishing, the nord smiled, cramming some more hackle lo leaf into his pipe he
asked "What's your name dunmer?" quickly adding "Not to be nosey
but I'd like to know the name of the mer I helped in his dire need" He
said sarcastically, pouting his lips from beneath the brown cloak.
He held out his finger and on the end, a small fireball appeared, no larger
than a pinky fingernail, using to quickly light his pipe which he vigorously
took a puff of.

"Yes, Nord," came the reply from Azrael, swift, not
missing a beat, "Be as patronizing as you would like; I still thank you
kindly for offering the seat--You may call me Azrael, if you wish, though I
doubt any formalities requiring a name basis will proceed beyond my time here
at the table". As quick as the words were uttered, the ashen gaze turned
back to the dirty blade, and the rag took to it's former movement, up and down
on the elongated piece of silver. . .

Leseth could walk through walls. He could cross the world in an instant. He
could, simply put, go where no one could go. None of that was even remotely
necessary here. His highest priority was to avoid emulating the mistake that
Mirror had made; the one that had cost him his foot.
Elysana could hear the guards talking outsider her cell. Their muffled voices
discussing gambling debts and women. Then, suddenly, all was silent.
The lock to her cell clattered, and the door swung open. A large black cloak
filled the doorframe.
"Good evening," said Leseth.

"wee flame? perhaps this is more suited to your fancy?" He asked,

After the flame subsided the nord man patted his hands together letting a pile

The time in-between time…
Many years had passed since the death of Dur’el’s older self, and he, and
everyone else had moved on, but Dur’el still has horrible nightmares about
watching himself die. But all that was put to the side, there was a new
situation to worry about. Kasha’s headaches had gotten to the point where she
didn’t have a minutes rest from them. Day and night her head throbbed, and
pulsed, like an infected wound.
Ten years after the death of his older self, Dur’el was outside training when
he was called into the cave by a yelling Allimar.
“ARGH!” Kasha bellowed. Her scream echoed through the cave. Dur’el ran in to
see Allimar holding her down to the ground.
“I can’t take it! Their screaming in my head! Stop it!” Kasha cries.
“Can’t you do something?” Dur’el asks Allimar.
“I’ve tried all the healing spells I know. They’re not working. Magicka won’t
help this.” Allimar yells, struggling with Kasha.
Damn it. Dur’el says to himself. I was warned about this. The old man
told me but I hoped it wouldn’t happen. I prayed everyday it wouldn’t happen.
Dur’el looks down at Kasha. I guess today’s the day I make my choice.
Dur’el begins to pace the cave, as he thinks to the time he was told about
Kasha’s fate.

Allerleirauh's singing voice was unexpected, high and pure and achingly sweet,

She had attended a feast thrown for a King who wasn't even invited and got
attacked by hams and turkeys, had danced with the god of madness and kissed his
lips, strangled her own mother while having multiple fantasies pounding through
her head till she scarcely knew what it was she was saying, doing, or speaking
to, and at one point even had a notion that she was going to help the Prince of
Moonshadow become closer to mortals and make the world a nicer place. Absurdity
by now should have lost all power over her; she had hardly even blinked at the
ham which had tried to bean her the other day.
Yet, right now, as Allie sang to Sen-Yedda, and the eavesdroppers stared in
wonder and marveled at the haunting beauty of the melody, and within her belly
she could feel a faint stirring and could imagine a baby girl settling happily
down to sleep ... Loranna felt ... absurd.
It was going to be just this easy, wasn't it? Allie had started a riot, gotten
people who were looking to her for guidance killed, all out accused her of
being the vile demoness Arynel kept hissing about, and with this one impossibly
beautiful song, things were going to go back to more or less the way they had
been. No demanding that Allie take her leave - she'd be here wether Loranna
wanted her or not. No big attempts to try and counter her - what,
realistically, could anyone else here do to her other than Aricyn, and what
could he do to that wouldn't involve turning Red Mountain into Red Valley?
Loranna closes her eyes, and puts a hand over her belly, listening to Allie's
song, and gradually the feeling of absurdity left her, though little rose to
take its place. The song was beautiful, and part of her was grateful for the
effect it had on Sen-Yedda at least, but beyond that ...
Maybe later, the song would creep back up on her, but for now Loranna could
only muster one reaction, when Allie's song was done.
" ... All right then," she says, looking down at her womb. " ...
Well sung; my thanks, for her sake ..."

Dur’el’s mind wanders back years ago; to a time he was conversing with his older
self.
The old Redguard took him aside, after a day of especially harsh, training and
said …years after I am gone. You will be faced with a choice. Kasha will be
in agonizing pain from her headaches, to the point where she doesn’t want to
live. You will have the choice of easing her pain with death, or letting her
live in this cold, time-looping, nightmare in eternal pain. I will not tell you
what to do, but when the time comes I want you to do what is right in your
heart. The old Redguard paused and looked at Dur’el solemnly. As you can
see I am here alone, as where the many before me… Your heart will tell you what
to do…
Dur’el is quickly snapped back from his flashback, by an ear deafening scream
from Kasha. Dur’el bites his lip thinking about the decision he would soon have
to make... He made up his mind.
“Damn you Molag!” Dur’el roars.
Dur’el looks down at Kasha, his eyes tell everything. Kasha has tears in her
eyes, and a pained grimace that always seemed to be on her face, recently. Even
with the pain on her face, Dur’el could tell she could read what he was
thinking.
She slowly nodded.
“Hold her tight, Al.” Dur’el says dropping down to one knee. He then holds his
hand to her forehead, as a dim, opal light begins to form in his hand.

QUOTE(Rhedd @ Dec 31 2004, 04:16 AM)
(VIVEC, HLAALU CANTON:)
"There is no harm in shoving letters under stairs," said Leseth.
"Do you still believe him to be Helseth's man?
"As for escape, that is simple. You walk out, anytime you wish."
“Tell me what you witnessed in Loranna’s camp,” said the Queen. Her eyes no
longer were afraid. She was thinking again, planning.
Leseth told her what he had seen at Ghostgate.
“They are causing quite a bit of trouble for Helseth now,” Elysana giggled
girlishly. “Very good. And if Liris heard about the ambush, then some of my men
must have joined Loranna’s group. And they are coming to Vivec … What about
Helseth? Have you spied on him?”
Leseth told her about what he had seen, including the torture and execution of
her spy Tirin.
“He knows too much,” Elysana said. “I need to know why. Leseth, I need you and
Bosriel to find the spy and destroy him. I will stay here and talk to Helseth.
That is the only way I can learn for certain what he knows … He will be happy
to brag about it all when he thinks he has me in captivity. By then, my men who
are traveling with Loranna will be here … That will be our plan … But when you
have found the spy, I need you back. I’ll need you to get away.”

"When we have found the spy, we will return."
He turned without bowing, and relocked Elysana's cell door behind him, leaving
her in the dark.

Hlaalu Canton, Vivec, Morrowind
Elysana, Queen of Wayrest, sat in her cell, in the darkness. She could hear the
guards outside wake up. Was she a fool to stay here when escape was possible?
She banished self-doubt from her head. She had to talk to Helseth, and this was
the only way to do it. But still, it was hard not to be a little bit afraid, in
the dark, in a prison in her hated stepbrother's land ...

... I know these words already Allie; I did take some time to
read them ... Loranna says with a heaviness that
suggests she speaks more because she feels she had to than because she didn't
wish to hear.
Loranna sighs and beckons for the crowd to come back forward, one at a time, to
have their questions answered and their concerns addressed.
Somewhere during the dispensing of godlike wisdom and the reading of
mythological poetry, Allie hears a faint whisper in her mind:
Not goals I think; more just reasons and methods, she hears. Azura is
meant to rule from Moonshadow, where all who would look to her can see - not
here, in me. I'm just the means to letting her resume her throne ...
Allerleirauh's even voice continued, under the rise and fall of the crowd.
"Then Seht came to the netchiman's wife and said: 'I am the Clockwork King
of the Three in One. In you is an egg of my brother-sister, who possesses
invisible knowledge of words and swords, which you shall nurture..."
All of that is true, except 'meant to rule from Moonshadow.' She is meant to
rule Moonshadow. She is not meant to rule from there. This is not her kingdom.

He went looking for Liris.

breath You're talking to Azura's Incarnate here - you know, the tavern girl
who thought bowing to Vivec's shrine of humility was the way to free her Prince
from Nirn.
Loranna sighs. ... You were right earlier; there really isn't much point to
us opposing one another; it's not going to help the baby, she says. It's
an odd alliance we have now, but allies should be allies while they share
common cause ...
" ... Prince Azura?" one Dunmer girl asks, bowing low.

Tris and Ciel: Cyrodiil City
"How did I get back from the Eagle and Spear last night?" Tris asked.
"Did you carry me?"
Here inside the Temple refectory, it was almost possible to have a quiet
conversation - almost. Outside in the streets, it was shoulder-to-shoulder in
the Temple district, as more people arrived for the New Life Celebration. The
layman in charge of the guest's quarters at the Temple had asked if Tris and

And as much as Tris would have liked to have seen Uriel Septim VII before he

Posted by: Issa_Yojimbo Dec 31 2004, 11:19 AM
Among the crowd of Loranna's followers, Issa Yojmbo had come
across an aged Ashlander who was a master weilding two shortblades. Issa had
been training with this man for the past few hours in preperation for any real
foe who would use this technique.
Issa's skill with a katana was impressive, but not unparalleled. His knowledge
of magicka was great, but not godlike. His true power came from focusing his
magickal energies onto his glyph-marked blade. By doing this, he had abilities
that seemed to be beyond the world around him. These were not his abilities,
but those of the sword itself. This strange, blessed katana tied into the same
ethereal frequencies and principles by which the Elder Scrolls themselves
operate. However, these seemingly boundless powers were extremely difficult to
control. Issa Yojimbo was not at a level of experience where he could truly use
the sword's power. Most important, however, is that the sword itself was Prophet's
Edge. It's most amazing power was not for combat. This sword could alter
space-time while maintaining harmony with the Elder Scrolls in order to change
the course of prophecies. This great feat could not be done by the weilder of
the sword, however. Rather, the weilder and the sword are the instruments by
which prophecies were changed. Only when the Moth Priests attune the Elder
Scrolls can the prophecies be changed, and only by one who knows how.
Obviously, the sword Prophet's Edge was very old, as old as the Scrolls. The
sword was a true enigma. It followed prophecy, yet it had the power to change
prophecy. One prophecy in the Elder Scrolls was that this sword would find its
way into the hands of an orphaned Ashlander named Issa Yojimbo.

The time in-between time…
It begins to rain outside the little cave, in the time-twisting world. Which
wasn’t significant to anyone who lived there, as long as Dur’el, Kasha, and
Allimar had. It always rained, the land was inhospitable, and would drive you
mad. The rain was poison, the land was barren, and the sky always remained
dark. The place wasn’t meant to sustain life. But now the rain seemed
noteworthy, it had a meaning. Kasha was about to die at the hands of her lover,
and it seemed like the time-bending world was weeping in sorrow.
Dur’el holds his hand to Kasha’s head, and closes his eyes. Allimar holds the
Dunmer on the ground as she struggles, and screams loud enough to wake the
Gods.
Dur’el looks away from Kasha as he speaks. “Kasha, I only want the best for
you, and this isn’t it.”
“Get them out of my head! They always scream! Stop talking to me!” Kasha blurts
out.
Dur’el, unfazed continues. “You don’t deserve to lie in this damned place in
pain. You’re only here because of me. If you and Allimar hadn’t been in the
tomb with me, you never would have gotten in this mess. Molag wanted me but you
two got caught in the fire.” Dur’el pauses as he finally looks at Kasha.
“A fire I wish I could stop…You deserve better than this, Kasha. So I’m giving
it to you. Forgive me.”
Dur’el’s Shehai forms in his hand, it casts an opal light on his grief stricken
face. Dur’el raises his arm for a concluding strike, when a loud, booming,
crash, shakes and vibrates the cave, making it feel like the time-spinning
world is shaking itself.
Dur’el turns his attention towards the cave entrance. “What, it can’t be time
already, can it?”
Dur’el quickly turns and runs out of the cave into the raining, dark sky.

voice of a female Dunmer filled his head. Stop your gallavanting and keep an
eye out you dolt, don't forget while your here.
The mysterious figure nodded, Meanwhile on a hill not to far away from the ghostgate,
behind a tall spire, a female Dunmer in a long coat bearing the same tattoos on
her face as the nord stood, her dark hair draping over her like vines.

Morrowind, Ghostgate
Left Hand stands in the crowd of Loranna worshippers watching Loranna closely.
He sees her and a female Nord having a deep and insightful conversation. The
type of conversation that requires a lot of awareness, and thought.
Left Hand knows his opportunity is coming, so he closes his eyes and focuses on

reads the currents, and waves of the magicka, as they talk and guide him to his

NOT NOW
WAIT
WAIT…
…NOW!
Left Hand smiles in triumph, as he wraps himself in magicka and flies at
Loranna, going at unimaginable speed. In faster than a blink he’s almost to

Inches away from the incarnate Left Hand vanishes.
If Loranna listened closely she could hear his mind scream out and suddenly
silence.

Ghostgate, Tower of Dusk
Dante sat, watching as Illidan and the bouyent armiger made there way outside
of the tower. Two minutes, and a bunch of painful screams later, the Bouyent
Armiger strolled back in and up the stairs, shortly after Illidan came through
the door and sat across from Dante "Illidan, are you ok?" He asked
watching in disbelief as his brother wiped blood from his lip.
"I'm fine, you should see the other guy" exclaimed Illidan, putting
on a tough expression, Dante snickered slightly and then replied "I
did" Illidan merely shrugged and made his way over to the bar.

The time in-between time…
Dur’el runs through the rainy, damp, fog covered land of the time-bending Hell.
He's deep in recollection of a past time with his older self. They had walked
back to the spot where he first appeared. It was a large field spotted by one
lone, leafless tree.
This is where it started and this is where it will end, the old Redguard
said to Dur’el, opening his arms. The final battle will take place here. You
will either win and escape, or lose and die. You will know when its
time. You will hear a loud, crash that rocks the world. When you hear it, come
to this spot and face your destiny...
Dur’el continues running as he dismisses his memory.
But it can’t happen now. It was supposed to happen many, many years from
now. Kasha's supposed to be dead and Allimar is supposed to be with me.
Dur’el ponders. Either way… I don’t think I’m ready.
Dur’el continues running until he sees the old, leafless tree in the distance…
next to the tree stands a man.
Without seeing the man, Dur’el knows who it is.

"I need to have a walk" Stated Dante, making his way
outside of the tower of Dusk and onto the ashen plains of the foyada. Shortly
something caught his interest in the distance, he squinted and honed his sights
in on a large spire to discover an aged Dunmer woman hiding behind it. Strange..
He thought to himself, slowly making his way towards the spire. Careful Dante, I don't like the look of this scene Dante nodded as the voice filled his head and continued his
path foreward.
From behind the rock Inzoliah was in a panic Brum! Brum get out here and
distract the fool, he's discovered us...we can't let him get to close...not
with that heathen inside him She screamed telepathically, watching
frantically as Dante grew ever closer.
Moments later the large cloaked Nord stormed out of the tower of Dawn and
launched a fireball at Dante, igniting his cape. Dante's eye shot open
"AAAaaahhhh!!!!" He screamed diving to the ground and rolling back
and forth. From behind the spire Inzoliah gave Brum an 'A-OK' sign with her
fingers.

even in Morrowind anymore. Left Hand sees this and he is angered beyond words.
He was sooo close; the incarnate was within breathing distance. All he
had to do was pull out his sword, cut her throat, and watch her life drain from
her. Defeat had struck him again… he was once again a failure.
“NO!!” Left Hand heaves back his head and bellows. The resonance of his voice
bounces down the arid, field.
Someone would pay dearly for this.
He didn’t know how he got here, or why, but he was going to kill the person who
did this to him, in the most brutal way possible. He had never known failure in
over a thousand years, and now he tasted it twice, in just as many days.
Left Hand was angered by this fact to blindness. His vision was a blur of red,
and crimson. He must find someone, anyone to kill.
Just at that moment Left Hand sees someone approaching on the horizon.

When Dante had finally got back to his feet he noticed that both
of the figures had dissapeared, Dante was extremely confused. Brum, had simply
slipped back inside the tower of Dawn whilst Inzoliah had ran further down the
Foyada.
Inside the tower of dawn Brum had sat back down at his table and was smoking
his pipe yet again, Well, that could of gone better.. he thought,
sending the message down to Inzoliah, who, upon recieving it, snarled.
Master will NOT be happy, you should of acted faster she sent back, a worried
expression on her face. Heh, you should of concealed yourself better, this
never would of happened if you kept the heathen from seeing you. The two of
them continued to bicker through their thoughts.

Arynel's eyed popped open, and he rose from the chair he was
seated in. Walking towards the table he picked up the sword, the blade he had
sweated for, cried for, bled for. He absorbed the flickering image of the fire
reflected on it's surface, beheld his own face wavering, staring back at him,
as if staring at ones reflection in a lake.
The Breton sheathed the sword in his belt.
He whispered a string of power..
And appeared at Ghosgate.
He looked around, and approached Loranna.

Summary - Jekk grew bored and went off to Ald' Ruhn. Dane is
still at Ghostgate wandering around the camp, being misunderstood as a preist
because of his bright red robe.
Jekk clapped his hands together then slowly pulled them apart, a string of
magicka was formed connected to both hands. Jekk twirled his hands in a frenzy
crafting a ball of magicka and flug it at the cliffracer.
"Haha, No one is a match for Jekk the Battlemage!" The Dunmer raised
his hand in tirumph but only to see a few dozen more flocking around.
Dane walked in the Tower of Dusk, dusting of the ash from his shoulders. Many
greeted Dane with prayers and such as he walked about Geez they must think
I'm some sort of preist he thought as he made his way to the bar.

There is a shimmer, and wavering.
Around Loranna images crackle.
Azura
Vivec
A spear
A shattering
And then there is another shimmer, another wavering.
Another set of images crackle.

A wheel

The wheel contorts
The images vanish, and the sword falls out of Loranna's lap and onto the

Dunmer weren't known for favoring the underdog, they followed the strongest.
Always the strongest.
The crowd would wait. They would worship the winner... and devour the loser.

Hearing Loranna speak, Arynel turned to the crowed.
"When was it that the Daedra allowed you to move on to greater
things?" The Breton asked. "It was when the tribunal came! The daedra
wanted to hold you back, and still they wish to bring you back to them. When
was it the tribunal left? Vivec left on his own accord, when he was no longer
needed, when you had grown past needing him. I ask not that you follow Vivec,
he has left, putting his faith in you. He has taught you what he knows, and now

The people had heard the words of the foreigners, and they had
heard the words of Azura herself. They had seen the end of the Trial, and they
had seen the miracles on the road.
There was a lot of shouting, and quite a lot of singing, and someone or two
blew a horn, but oddly, the crowd was quieter than one would expect.

Arynel turned towards the crowed, and began to walk forwards.
"Here I stand before you." The Breton said, holding up his arms.
"I bare no arms, no weapon, my only defense is my word. If you cut me
down, so I will fall."
He continued walking forward, into the crowd.
"You have seen what has happened, what has occured. You know the teachings
of the Tribunal, you know the teachings of the prophet Veloth. Some of you do
not love Vivec, but he has offered to you what the Daedra never have. He has
not held back what he knows, but has offered it freely. Now that he is no
longer needed, Vivec has left, I ask you only not to go back, that you do not
return to what you have left behind. Moreover I ask you not to be fooled, not
to follow a deciever. If give you the choice of which path to take."
He paused, letting his words sink in.
"If you reject Vivec, if you throw away what he has revealed, if you
choose to return to the lie he has led you away from, if you choose to bow down
to a devil and a deciever, then here I am, unarmed. If you reject Vivec, then
kill me, if you wish to return to the old lies, then shatter me, if you wish to
bow to a devil, then spill my blood. The choice I give to you."

"Loranna, you offered him a choice - leave, or stay and face the wrath of
the crowd. You see now how he has chosen."
Posted by: Rhedd Dec 31 2004, 10:16 PM
The crowd parted as Arynel walked forward. There were many
scowls, and a poorly dressed woman spat at him, but none raised a hand.
As he entered the thick of the crowd, the Ashlanders, who stayed near the
cliffsides, started singing a hymn to Azura, beating their spears on their
shields.
To one side, the crowd parted again to a small wave of green as a handful of
Buoyant Armigers made their way to Arynel's side, weapons held high in Vivec's
name.
The great mass of the crowd, caught between the Ashlanders and the Armigers,
was oddly calm.
An aged priest of the Temple in Balmora made his way to the head of the crowd,
and others made way for him. When he was eye-to-eye with the lead Armiger, he
spoke to Arnyel, but so all could hear...
"You give us a choice, Outlander, as if it is yours to give. You say we
must worship Vivec, or worship Azura. I have studied the teachings of Vivec my
entire life, and I know their worth. AND I have seen the glory that is the
Incarnate of Azura, bearing the Child of Vehk. You say we must choose one or
the other, but we say that there is a third choice, there before you in a
swollen belly.
"We will choose to OUR advantage, not yours.
"We choose both! ALL HAIL AZURA! ALL HAIL VIVEC! ALL HAIL SEN-YEDDA!"
The crowd roard, the Ashlanders with outrage, but the majority with agreement.
Posted by: Arynel Dec 31 2004, 10:22 PM
"If your choice is to follow SEN-YEDDA, so be it." Arynel said.
"I ask only that you are not fooled by the one before you now." The
Breton holds a hand out towards Loranna. "I ask only that you do not
follow a deciever."
Arynel waves his hand, and a green aura forms around the Breton's body. His form
shimmers, and then vanishes.

will skip a bit and do this one instead:
"The Scripture of the Sword, First:
'The sword, treated as a delicate meal, is the Symbolic Collage. It serves you
well in the first half of life. Name one dynasty that knows this not.'
Second:
'The unity of my approach is understood by the immobile warrior. True eyes are
acquired. Rejoice as my own subjects and realms. I build for you a city of
swords, by which I mean laws that cut the people who live there into better
shapes.'
Third:
'Girls burn their dresses on my arrival if I am armored. They crawl to me as
bled pilgrims. Minor spirits die without trace. Follow me of all the ALMSIVI if
you are to mark your days with killing. AE ALTADOON, the third law of
weaponry.'
Fourth:
'The immobile warrior is never fatigued. He cuts sleep holes in the middle of a
battle to regain his strength.'
Fifth:
'Instinct is not reflex action, but mini-miracles held in reserve. I am the
welfare that decides which warrior will emerge. Beg not for luck. Serve me to
win.'
Sixth:
'The span of the apparently inactivated is your love of the absolute. The birth
of God from the netchiman's wife is the abortion of kindness from love.'
Seventh:
'The true sword is able to cut chains of generations, which is to say, the
creation myths of your enemies. Look on me as the exiled garden. All else is
uncut weed.'
Eighth:
'I give you an ancient road tempered by the second walking way. Your hands must
be huge to wield any sword the size of an ancient road, and yet he who is of
right stature may irritate the sun with only a stick.'
The ending of the words is ALMSIVI. "

He twirls his sword around.
"At least no one was killed, and they reached a conclusion as to what they

Just then, a thought came to his head.
"So when it's either Vehk or the Daedra, they choose both. What has Vehk
done outside of Morrowind? This world is bigger then one Imperial province.
Speaking for Imperial, what of Akatosh? What of the Nine Divines? Vehk is
obviously not a true god, but so many people are debating who is."
He glanced at Loranna, thinking
"People shouldn't be relying on unreliable gods to have them progress.
They should just do things themselves. I won't worship anything with a dual
nature of good and evil. I don't care who anyone worships anymore. But..."
He stares into Loranna's eyes from afar.
"...Azura, you are the truest power in this world. I acknowledge that.

Why all this confusion? Azura help me..."

"For a traveller. He knows little of roads. One must often back-track

going on about whether the Emperor would actually appear in public to give his
New Life speech, or simply have it read by a herald. Tris sincerely hoped the
old man would appear in person; if he didn't, there would be more riots, fueled
by the rumors that the Emperor was dead and the truth was being hidden from the
populace.
Well, even if he couldn't make it to a temple, he could light a few candles.
One for his foot, one for his lost self, one for his mother, whose loss still
felt as fresh in his heart as if it had happened yesterday, one for Ciel's
wife. He and Ciel's wife needed to be on good terms. He didn't even know her
name. Well, Ciel had loved her, hadn't he? So she must be, wherever she was
now, a benevolent presence, blessing the living.
He bowed his head and whispered his prayers as celebratory fire spells exploded
outside in the street.

Reichi pulled out the Dagger of Senses and his Daedric
shortblade. Holding the Shortblade in his right hand and the Dagger in the
left. " I'll show you.." he said, grinning.
He charged at the nord, the dagger held out in front and the shortblade draw
back for a slash.
Always aim for the throat. I once stabbed a man in the heart and saw him run
for 20 meters screaming before he collasped... Reichi rembered those words
from his training instructor. He was going to follow them too.
The nord stepped back again, this time a fireball appeared in his right hand, This
guy means buisness.. He thought,as Reichi charged towards him, by now he
would notice that the fireball had extended out into a large rope of flame,
"hehe, time you learned not to pick random fights" He laughed,
cracking the flame rope on the ground like a whip.
From down the foyada, Inzoliah smirked, watching the battle at hand.
Posted by: Aki Jan 1 2005, 09:22 AM
Reichi seemed rather unpahsed by the whip and continued at the
man. He leapt for the man's throat, one dagger aimed for his throat, the other
for his heart. "And you would do well to remeber Dunmer are resistant to
fire, fool!"
Posted by: Loranna Jan 1 2005, 09:23 AM
By this point, guards are arriving on the scene of Reichi's and
the Nord's confrontation ...
"You there! Stop this now or be stopped," the head guard calls out to
both combatants.
Posted by: Anghardel67 Jan 1 2005, 09:26 AM
The Dunmer continued to wander, aimlessly, for another hour,
perhaps more. Seeing no man or mer even after this time left him irritated.
"I see no point in being here, when I can't even find the group I am
supposed to be with. Perhaps, yes, perhaps I can make better use of my time if
I were to check on Briaata', in the vivec Mages guild--I have not seen her in
so long, and am curious to see how Shkiaara's plan has taken in that particular
branch."
Reaching the exit to this tower, and quite happy to do so, Azrael muttered
towards nothing in particular, before running off, back towards Ald Ruhn,
towards a guild guide:
"Incarnate, forgive me."

Inside the tower, he placed Illidan in a chair and smacked him a few times in

Vivec, Palace of Vivec
Two robed figures were sitting on the steps outside of the palace of Vivec,
one, an Altmer and the other, a Breton, both bearing the same tattoos on their
faces as Inzoliah and Brum.
"My lord this is boring, lets do something exciting" exclaimed the
breton, twiddling his thumbs. "Ok, what do you suggest?" asked the
altmer, an inquisitive look on his face. "Lets explore the puzzle
canals" He said, a huge grin on his face.
"Hmm...sure, why not? nothing too bad could come from this" He
exclaimed following the Breton through some loose grates, making sure that
nobody saw them, Upon entering they killed a couple of rats and began laughing
loudly and joking, if anyone else was in the immediate area they wouldnt miss
these two.

and making thier way into the canal...

The altmer's eyes darted from shardie to Maranda, then back again "Our
master...is the true patriot of peace and prosperity among our religion, we are
simply on a mission for him, to end the cause of the heathen" He said,
looking to Maranda "I take it that this is one of your masters?" he
asked.
"You'd be best not to stand in our way" added the breton, hardening

heavy armor aproaching behind the two men. "You two would do well not to

grinned. Then he looked to Maranda. "Good choice of location...except for
the... water" he said. "You shouldn't lower your weapons so
quickly either Maranda.."
The two men however, could feel something like a Inivisble hand grabbing them
by the back of their robes and hoisting them in the air. "Now, you boys
arn't going to do anything that would require my to repaint the walls of the
puzzle canal, would you?"

The breton went to correct her but the altmer placed his hand on his shoulder,
cutting him off "A similar cause...? perhaps" he said, relaxing his
fists, "Our master, only the highest members of the religon know of his
name, us, being 2 of the five" He let out a sigh "And we just don't
go around speaking the masters name to unfamiliars" He chuckled lowly.
"Azura Incarnate, we care little of that, but if it ever came to it maybe
we would be willing to help." he stated, briskly waving his hand causing
the breton to lower his own arm.
at that moment the two felt themselves being hoisted in the air, "Depends,

Through time and rock and earth we come to yet another
crossroads. The road to the left yields a path safe and well-tred, and yet the
right is another unknown. If only we could move straight forward, achieving the
ease of the left but the reward of the right? Everything is clear, nothing is
certain.
But if you choose to look not upon the road itself, but the dimming sky, you
will see the sun sets upon both ways - the world cannot be fully changed. Pearl
of the Sea, star of the West, we all dance upon the merry earth and then are
only heard if our voices can crack the heavens, like those from Skyrim. And
sweet your voices are, my dear mortals.
For your toils and honest labors keep the world stable, as was said at its
inception. Those around you scheme, they destroy, and you must keep them away
from changing that which must be stable. I know - I was once counted among the
Daedra, although no longer do I hold a place at their cold, damp halls. It is
funny, because at the same time they might try to help you. You have religion,
which is counted upon looking to that which exists but does not exist. Believe
me when I say, They do not live without causality. And inherently that is
something you have to fear, but not now.
I do not know the ancient order in which the land of Morrowind must now reform,
or replace. I was asleep, but now I walk the world as if it were a cold
morning, with dew turned into frost. I see what is necessary, not much more.
Remember there are only two roads, however counfounded the future may seem.
