We currently find the main party in Suran, having just shown up
and had a little altercation. Maranda, servant of Meridia, had tried to speak
with Loranna but was interrupted by her own 'companion' Shardie, who tossed
Loranna the Moon Reiver. Maranda tried to use a Flame Monarch to scare off the
crowds but that didn't work well and she was forced to flee, leaving Azura with
the Moon Reiver. Now the party rests a bit in Suran.
As always, mirc irc.ChatSpike.net channel #Loranna_RP is our official chatroom
for the event. Everyone who plays is welcomed and encouraged to join the chat
so that we may discuss plot developments and swap jokes about our characters
Those who can't get into the chatroom are encouraged to PM Loranna about any
plot ideas or scene-effecting actions they have in mind; I will try to answer
you with all possible speed.
Part Eighteen begins ...

QUOTE(Loranna @ Jan 4 2005, 01:38 AM)
Loranna hands Aricyn the sword, sighing. " ... I
think we'll keep our visit here short. A day, two at most. Best to
keep moving ..."
"Yes, I think that's be best," Aricyn said, covering a small sigh of
relief.
He wrapped the belt of the Moon Riever's scabbard tightly around the hilt, then
tucked it safely through his own belt, under his cloak.
The old wolf at his side licked his teeth, then yawned.

Arynel is currently at the true Solunastra, the Breton is
writing in a book.
It was then I returned to the assembly of the Devil in a Nord, and beheld
the savagery of what she was, though she knew it not. So I returned to the
pristine garden and with a string I fashioned a wheel, and made of my sword a
lantern. So I went before the assembly and revealed the terror that was the
axis of hell and earth in a mortal.
Only when your eyes are opened will you truly know fear.

Dagoth hears a mental sigh. Dagoth, my love, she says quietly, we
both are guilty of the same thing. We have seen ourselves as monsters and
felt in our hearts something that rebelled against that, that was still mortal,
still warm and human. Those parts of us reached out for each other and
embraced, and gave us each comfort in times when there was precious little
comfort for us or anyone.
'How can you love me? I have failed..... I have ruined you...... I have
shattered all that was left of you....... all because I love you.'
Dagoth's thoughts desperately sought to cling themself to Loranna's stronger
than ever...... but something held him back, guilt.

Dur’el awoke this morning from nightmare filled dreams. He
wasn’t the only one as Kasha, and Allimar seemed to be restless also.
Dur’el finally got a good look at everyone, now that they where all back
together and in a “normal” setting.
Dur’el looked to see that Kasha’s hair had grown incredibly long, and was
hanging well below her waist. Nothing looked different about Allimar, except it
looked like he had gained weight, which was shocking to Dur’el seeing as how
little they had to eat in the other realm. Dur’el checked himself out to see
that his hair had grown longer then the one inch, close cut he normally had.
His hair was now in a rather big afro.
Dur’el picked at it with a comb, as he, and his party walked behind the group
in Suran.

Loranna says gently but firmly Only one person has ruined me Dagoth -
myself. I was the one who let myself become trapped as I am. You have been a
comfort to me all along, though for most of the time ... I've been blind to
what I am and what I've done, to myself and to others.
You've sought to help me; you've sought to offer warmth to someone who was
obviously suffering but who didn't realize it herself. That is a good thing
you've tried to do, Dagoth, and for you making that effort I do love you.
... There's something neither of us, I think, has truly understood; love is
not totally sweet and kind. It's painful oftentimes, and it can become a
prison, holding you and your loved one back. Past a certain point, in order to
truly love someone, you ... may have to be willing to let them go, to be what
they can only be if they're unfettered. But to do that, you have to first be
healed yourself.
... Dagoth my love, my heart cries to see you so shattered in spirit right now.
Part of me wishes to take your thoughts in mind and give you my warmth to help
heal you. ... But I can't heal you on my own, without enslaving you to me; the
healing must come from within yourself, and at most I can help it along a bit,
encourage you, get ... get cross with you if that's what it takes to get you to
realize the answer is in you and is waiting for you to take it. If that's what
it will take to help you heal yourself then I'll do it, out of love for you ...
... but you have to start the process yourself ...

Update
Temple Canton, Vivec
The Queen of Wayrest, Elysana stood in chains, watching her captor, her
stepbrother, Helseth, King of Morrowind, arguing with the Temple Archcanon
Tholer Saryoni. The argument had turned into a discussion of religion and the
position of the Cult of Loranna/Azura in Morrowind. She was not certain whether
the King was now a captive of the Temple, and where this left her as his
prisoner.
Suran
Lord Dres Gaor is traveling with Loranna's group, having supplied the pilgrims
with many wagonloads of foodstuffs. He is still concerned with the thief who
stole from the Temple at Ghostgate, and he seems to have an interest in acting
as patron for a famous playwright.

Loranna fights the urge to wrap her thoughts around Dagoth's right now ...
... I won't go anywhere, dear, she says quietly. I'll watch, and I'll
hope you succeed. But if you start using me as a crutch then there's only one
thing I can do to help you, and that will be to push you away - so don't use me
as a crutch.
Remember, the answer is within you. You are truly something special - what
other lich has ever kept even the semblance of caring for anything other than
its own power? You are more than what you let yourself think you are; you have
the strength to heal yourself. Look within, to your center, and see it; look
around and see that same strength shining from others, to inspire you to see
your own.
... Don't let this beat you; you've come too far to let it beat you, and if you
fall apart now then ... no; I won't bother going into it. You can do it; now,
for your sake and mine if you must, do it ...

Arynel's eyes snapped open, and the Breton inscriped one last
verse.
With the sword of my enemy I cut for you new eyes, with the blade of my foe
I devour your false pretenses, and cut down the pillars that were your chains.
Victory is the prize of the champion, to all others is the dirt; he who does
not conquer cannot triumph, love is the greatest weapon.
Every moment a coiled eternity
Played out in the murmurings of passing days
A song so played and sung by those who know
And a note of my own to the silver capped mountain
A grassy bank and starlit serenade
A secret shared when ends the masquerade

Doll remains with Loranna's group, disguised as Solin's slave for reasons of
her own.
Mirea is spying for Allerleirauh.
Tris and Ciel have reached Balmora.
Dragon and Skein are at the Void Ranger Guildhouse in Daggerfall.
Allerleirauh...
IC:
Allerleirauh stepped out into the garden of the true Solunastra. She had been
talking to Skein. She had an idea of what needed to be done, but not how to do
it. She needed to talk to several people, but she needed to talk to Arynel
first.
"I'm sorry I kept you waiting so long," she said.

Mournhold, Morrowind
Baloth-Kul sat in Plaza Brindisi Dorom, listening to the Knight of House Dres.
They were far from the crowds moving through the city, the Knight had made sure
of that.
‘Yes, Castle Xyr is still being performed,’ the playwright nodded. ‘But it has
made me famous, not rich. Thus, my need for a patron for my next play.’
‘The House Dres would be happy to support you and act as your patron for your
next two plays,’ said the knight.
‘That’s very generous,’ said Baloth-Kul, trying to keep from sounding too
surprised. He had been searching for a patron for so long, it seemed
unbelievable that fortune would have leapt into his lap so suddenly. ‘But I
only have an idea for one. It is a bloody tale of revenge and lust, set in the
Imperial City during the reign of Cephorus –‘
‘Not to worry,’ smiled the knight. ‘I will tell you the story of the first play
you will write. And then, your tale of revenge and lust will follow. What my
masters have in mind is the tale of an idiot king, a puppet of the Empire. It
will be a farce, a broad comedy, specifically targeted to amuse the lowest
orders.’
Baloth-Kul nodded, trying to be polite. ‘That sounds very interesting, and
something I could do in my sleep. But – how should I put this? – it does not
sound like the sort of genre I would be proud to put my name on.’
‘No, it is probably best for you to be anonymous, not only for your reputation,
but also for your life,’ said the knight. ‘And it is good that you could write
such a thing quickly. We would want production to begin as soon as possible …’

The Breton smiled.
"It is yours to do with as you find rightful." Arynel
said. "It is yours, use it as you will."
"Then... come sit with me, and let me read it, and play with your
hair," she said. "There is always time for things like this. We can
save Loranna when I'm done."
There was no sound for a time except the wind, and the trickling brook, and the
occasional rustle of pages. Her hand stroking his hair fell still. She looked
like a little girl when she read, with the same intensity.
When she was finished, she flopped back on the soft grass and looked up at him,
not smiling, but not serious, either. The light - here it was impossible to
tell where the light came from - had a crystalline quality, it made everything
more detailed and more perfect. The edges of her pale blue irises were tinted
with rose, and the centers were rayed with lemon yellow.

Arynel sat silently besides Allerleirauh as she read. When she finished, he
turned to her.
"I must say, dear one," the Breton began, "you have eyes like a
multitude, they beg for me to search them out, and find a message hidden. If
you would be so kind, let it be given by your lips, though if words do not
suffice, then I will find an eye to be sufficient."

Doll, Suran:
Doll wasn't sure when, if at all, her plan would come to fruition. It all
depended on how broken the slaves really were.
Broken people can be desperate, though.
Adanji waited until Loranna was surrounded by people. She waited until she had
a good opportunity, when she had been sent to get something, and her master
wasn't near. She chose a time when many Khajiit slaves were also present,
getting food for their masters.
It was hard to shout, very frightening.
"May Khajiit speak with Great Mother Azurah?" Adanji said, as loudly
as she could.

"If you say 'tis so, perhaps 'twill be." The Breton said with a

threads woven."
"Not to say one thread cannot suffice, to sew a road of sufficient
spice." He added in jest.

...
"Let her speak," Loranna says, staring at the guard; the Dunmer gives
her a brief, incredulous look, then realizes he's looking at his goddess like
she was nuts and hastily nods, bowing and praying for forgiveness before Azura
does something Azura-esque.
... Sigh ... Loranna thinks, hearing the guard's thoughts. She turns her

She never had any reason to like slavery, but here, in Morrowind, it was

Dante had fallen behind the group over the duration of their
travel to Suran, but he had heard news of the incident with Maranda and
Shardie. "Hur.....hur....hur..." Wheezed corky, sprinting down the
long winding path towards Suran with Dante hoisted on his back.
Upon reaching the city gates he was accosted by a Bouyent Armiger "Sorry
sir, you're going to have to climb down from your mount before I let you
through" At this moment, Corky let out a thunderous sneeze which covered
the Guard in Mucus, leaving him rather infuriated "Why.....you" The
guard began to approach Corky, a crude frown hidden under his mask.
"Sorry about that, sometimes I just cant help myself" Apologised
Corky, causing the guard to stop in his tracks, one foot suspended in the air
as he literally froze "A-a talking guar!? oh, Azura help us!" He
cried, running further into the city flailing his arms wildly.

‘Why does Adjani want to leave Morrowind so much now?’ asks Razbet, stepping
forward. ‘Will the gold she stole buy more for her in Elsweyr?’
He looked to the crowd gathered, and locked eyes with another Khajiit slave.
‘Does Ryjoo recognize her as the one from the Temple?’
The brawny Khajiit looked at her, narrowing his eyes. ‘Yes, she Khajiit in
Temple, taking jar. Ryjoo see Adjani!’
Another Khajiit, a woman slave, piped up unprompted and cried, ‘Yes! She

Loranna hears the accusations and the thoughts in the mind of
the Khaijiit, and realizes she's not being totally true to herself - and she
makes a decision here and now.
"HOLD!" she commands, letting her normally quiet tone ripple
forth. She looks at the guards, for the moment ignoring the gold on the
ground. "Release her, but be ready ..."
Loranna fixes Adjani with her gaze. "Tell me, dear; did you take
this gold from the collections made for me? And if so, why? Speak
truly, that I may know."
‘She took all the gold I gave to the Goddess’s pilgrimage!’ cried one Dunmer,
outraged.
‘Freedom is not freedom to commit heresy!’ cried a Breton.

I wonder what she likes for water.'

A few random thoughts in the crowd:
Good. Obviously, the poor creature was set up.
Apparently, all a thief has to do is say she didn’t do it, and she gets off …
It was a trap.
Won’t our economy collapse?
That dirty Khajiit! Wait ‘til she’s alone …
Slavery is barbaric. This is long past due.
All the Houses will ally against us now …
I should tell her about my problems …
Does she have to give back the gold now, or can she keep it?
Maybe she was innocent. But she deserves freedom? For what?

Solin stepped on to the soft grass that covered the garden’s floor. At the
heart stood a tree of gold leaves and silver bark with fruit of diamonds. The
Dunmer had been in this garden before, not many days ago, yet he felt as if he
had seen the tree elsewhere before. He heard the trickle of flowing water and
smiled. This was a calm place, private. Only the invited could come. Solin
smiled and reminded himself of his reason for coming. He could not be
distracted by the world or he would have gone to his own sanctuary, no he must
study. The heavy back made a muffled clang as he dropped it to the ground.
Removing a book from its depths, he sat and leaned against one of the garden’s
walls. Flipping open to the page he left off on, he read.

The slave-owners came forward in a grim procession, handing over the keys to
the Khajiit shackles. Some of them wore emotionless faces, many looked angry, a
few were actually crying. Loranna could hear their inner voices, full of
unhappiness. Many worried that they would be economically ruined now, some
feared being murdered by their former slaves.
And some slave-owners did not come forward at all. They had left camp.

Once she has the keys to the slave bracers Loranna begins unlocking the
Khaijiit's and other slaves' bonds, offering to each some of the gold that had
been recovered.
"With this gold, seek the lands your hearts yearn for," Loranna tells
the now emancipated slaves. "Go and hunt and run and play and make love
and raise children; leave aside painful thoughts and bask in the warmth of the

To Adjani, Loranna says " ... Dear, one thing; I was serious in what I

Doll had taken pains not to be in sight; and she had changed her clothes. Now
she was a simple figure in a netch leather helmet once again.
She was surprised by Loranna's notice, and considered ducking into the Void to

not.

QUOTE(Tholer_Saryoni @ Jan 4 2005, 03:14 PM)
Yes, Vivec chose to lie. He is a liar, but his
prevarications preserved the Tribunal for untold millenia, with prosperity and
happiness. You have misunderstood me. With the passing of the
Tribunal, I have told the Dunmer people the truth. I believe, with Vivec,
that the Nerevarine's legacy benifitted Morrowind, I did meet him. They
accepted both, and now they accept Loranna. All across Vvanderfell, all
of Morrowind they pray to her, they worship her, they know her. It was
not I who initiated this revival. My awakening was in fact at a late
hour. All the things you have mentioned occur in the old temple. It
is evident you wish it to remain.
If this Temple, which tells so many lies, is in your best interest, I would
assume you hold truth to be low indeed.
"And you chose to perpetuate those lies, fully knowing the truth. And yet
you sit here and lecture me about morality. Of course, now that it
benefits you, you decide to tell the people the truth. That is no different to
what I do - truth and lies are but tools, and both have equal uses. Neither are
more useful than the other, but equally effective depending on the circumstance.
My dear Elysana knows this as well." Helseth waves a hand in Elysana's
direction to punctuate his point.
"You also mention that all Morrowind pray, worship and know this Loranna,
but that is also folly. They are latching onto an ideal they have made for
Loranna themselves. They do not see the truth, and neither do you. You have
also been blinded by this ideal, and even though you didn't create this
'revival', as you put it, but you are helping perpetuate this lie. Just as you
were with the Tribunal. You have learnt nothing, and for that, you are
repeating the same mistakes. Do you not see that?"

The bouyent armiger had arrived to Lorannas position and began
to unsteadily tell her about the nearby talking guar "Y-your lady Azura,
There is some sort of possesed guar outside the town gate!" He cries, his

small amount of guar snot flying towards Loranna he adds "they could be
here any minute!" His words scare a small portion of the woshippers, but
most remain un-interested due to their lack of believeing.
At this moment Dante, entered the town where everyone was, Corky carrying him,
He slowly strolled up and around a few worshippers, Dante swayed back and forth
on the back of the guar, causing his shaggy hair to flop back and forth over
his face. He simply nodded to Loranna as Corky hissed at multiple worshippers.

But it disappeared almost before it was formed.

She would die soon, and the main consolation would be that toward the end she
might have helped her lover find peace within himself, freed some slaves after

the simple praise of a girl who knew more than she did about the truth of the

‘I need you to get your Queen to save my children,’ Lord Dres
Gaor said. ‘She needs to make them rich, for their father has given away their
inheritance, freely, and, I hope, wisely.’
"I will do what I can, good lord," Liris replied. "Although, you
may have better luck with your request in person."
He quietly sipped his brandy.
"The Queen is in Morrowind, Vivec to be precise," he continued,
"Apparently the great uprising of House Dres didn't occur. A pity to say
the least."
The lord paused again. He raised his glass and for a moment his was hidden.
"I'm certain she would be most grateful for any assistance you could
offer. Her brother, the King you know, isn't likely to be a polite host."

‘Jazbet and Wyrloc will see to it that anything you need to help the Queen will
be done,’ said the Dres nobleman, and the two Knights nodded.
‘Thank you, my friend, for your promise’ said Lord Dres Gaor with a bow, and
without a further word, he withdrew.
Alone, he walked through the camp, looking at the faces of the worshippers and
the jubilant slaves, to the dias where Loranna stood.
‘I am here to make a confession to all,’ he cried in a loud voice. No one had
ever heard him shout before. It seemed he had the Nordic gift for making his
words echo.
‘It ‘twas I who stole the gold from the Temple. It ‘twas I who set up the poor
Khajiit slave. It ‘twas I who arranged the assassinations. It ‘twas I who
ruined the foodstuff with pestilence. I tried to inspire you to riot, to
disband, to lose your faith. My true master has not been my House, or my men,
or my Goddess, or Morrowind itself. Unbeknownst to my men, I have been a spy
for his terrible majesty, King Helseth, planted to destroy this religion and
the Goddess herself.
And in his name, I have one last act to do!”
With that, Lord Dres Gaor pulled his sword from his belt. It was a black blade
with a black flame. He took a step towards Loranna, looking her directly in the
eye.

Doll watched the man with cold eyes.
She knew he was lying about at least part of the confession.
So he feared ruin more than death, did he? Poor him. He'd never make a good
slave, then.
She was surprised when he killed himself, but only slightly. She'd been
expecting him to make the guards kill him.

Loranna looked at Lord Gaor with some amazement at his
confession - like Doll, she was fairly certain he was lying about some of it.
Hearing him proclaim himself to be Helseth's man, Loranna realizes Lord Gaor's
intention ...
... He can't be ... she thinks, seeing him take a step toward her. She
felt power rolling in her ... and then he cut his own throat.
... A last ditch attempt to smear Helseth ... Loranna thinks to herself,
blinking. ... Or maybe even more - inability to face the future he started
to see ...
Loranna felt her lips twitch, her reflexive reaction to seeing such a waste.
Her expresison hardens slightly though; there was, it seemed, nothing she could
have done for Gaor. Like she told Arynel - people would see what they want to
see ...
" ... Remove the body," she says, releasing her breath and frowning.
" ... Some people, it seems, can not look to the bright future without
shying away. A pity."

The guards moved in quickly to take the body. 'We will bury him as befitting a

whispered in the guard's ear, before breathing his last.

... Ready to give his life for what he believed in ... Loranna reflects,
raising her eyebrows at the scene of the whispered words. A growing emptiness
began radiating from her belly throughout her body, as the implications of Lord
Gaor's willingness to sacrifice himself so quickly for such a cause sink in
fully.
Suran, it seemed, was a very ... lively place; one never knew what lay around
the corner here. A wonderful place to visit, and Loranna looks forward to the
time tomorrow when they leave.
She reaches out to hear Gaor's last words with her thoughts ...
Posted by: Sheogorath Jan 4 2005, 01:28 PM
The guard who heard the last words looks at Azura. And she can
hear the words in her mind as Gaor says them: Praise the Goddess.
The worshippers spit on the corpse as its dragged through the camp and into the
wilderness.
Loranna can hear the hatred for Gaor and Helseth in the minds of the people.
And three days later, when the word of the death reached the Temple at
Ghostgate, a new tapestry was begun, depicting The Sinner At The Hands Of An
Angry Goddess.

"And you chose to perpetuate those lies, fully knowing the
truth. And yet you sit here and lecture me about morality. Of course,
now that it benefits you, you decide to tell the people the truth. That is no
different to what I do - truth and lies are but tools, and both have equal
uses. Neither are more useful than the other, but equally effective depending
on the circumstance. My dear Elysana knows this as well." Helseth waves a
hand in Elysana's direction to punctuate his point.
So, you think I am shameful of serving Vivec? I could easily have said the
Tribunal lives on, and violently suppress any truth. But that is something you
would have done.
Remember, even the Tribunal started as an ideal. If we are to debate Loranna's
divinity as an Incarnate, I would be loth to speculate without evidence. I have
this this "nord girl" myself, and you have seen her through the eyes
of your spies, no doubt meant to bring her to ruin. Of course, I know that you
as well have founded your Kingship upon a lie, yes, not all voices could be
silenced. For one who has spent so little time among us and has already hurt us
so much, you presume to know much of the Dunmer people. I would assume
Sen-Yedda's birth would slacken the Empire's hold here - who are you loyal to?
You have never been a loyal member of the Temple, not even the one you have in
your interests. It is not in your power to dictate matters of the Dunmer
Temple.

Elysana continued to watch the two men, and listen to their debate. The Queen
of Wayrest understood that this was more than a philosophical or a theological
debate. It was a battle over power. Wayrest had never had a fanatical religion
like the Temple. The people there worshipped Akatosh, as did she, simple as
that. But she knew something about fighting for power. She had fought with
Helseth for the throne twenty years before, and she knew his mettle. The Queen
of Wayrest wondered if the archcanon knew who he was up against.

someone. He may have been forced into confessing, perhaps by threats to his

Loranna's child will become our salvation. Now you agree this child will at
least carry the hope of the Dunmer people, which is surely freedom from the
Imperial yoke. Before you have named Sen-Yedda a false hope.
I think it's time you had a history lesson. The Tribunal, before its
ascendence, served Nerevar, who was king. After his death they chose to lead
their people to a new plateau. I cannot believe you have forgotten that we were
not Dunmer at this point, we were Chimer. It was Azura who turned our skin
ashen, but we have continuted to honor Her as an Anticipation. Now she, along
with the Lord Vivec, has given us a fitting gift.
It is rather simple indeed, you do not honor the Dunmer people. You have spent
most of your life outside Morrowind, your ears are clipped to make yourself
look like a human, imperial troops guard your palace, indeed, one is here
today. You have become an animal I do not know the taxonomy for, but it is to
our shame.

QUOTE(Sheogorath @ Jan 4 2005, 06:24 PM)
“Gaor lied when he said he acted alone,” said the Khajiit,
looking Loranna in the eyes, and speaking softly, for her ears only. “I thought
you were not going to free the slaves, and the only way to keep there
from being a riot was to shift the focus. Perhaps it was cruel to accuse
a defenseless slave of such an act, but it was honestly the only thing I could
think to do. I acted foolishly out of fear of acting too late.
It was an unpardonable offense, and shows my lack of faith in your
wisdom. I do not have Gaor’s strength of will to fall on his sword when
faced with dishonor, but if you wish, I will leave camp and never return.
If you let me stay, however, I will show you my worth. I will help you
with your … situation, for one.”
Loranna thinks to herself that Jazbet wasn't the only one who thought she
wasn't going to free the slaves; her own fears of causing unrest had been
holding her back from doing so at first. She had, in fact, felt her heart
starting to melt when she saw the look in the Khaijiit's eye, and felt fear
herself when she heard the bloody thoughts in her mind - and then, when she was
accused of the theft, and Loranna's anger flared for a second ...
"I understand why you did what you did," Loranna says quietly, her
voice for his ears alone. "This is a frightening time for all of us; any
great change, for ill or good, is such. ... But, I think there has been enough
bloodshed for today; in giving them their freedom I intended to inspire hope,
not death."
" ... Tell me, what situation do you see me needing help with, Sir
Jazbet?" Loranna asks. "I would know you and your feelings a bit more
if I may."

Saryoni, now looking weary, looked at the Breton Queen. "I
am sorry for keeping you waiting so long, Lady," he said in a soft voice,
"It seems you have no place in this discussion, yet you sit
patiently." He waved a hand, and a servant appeared. "You will be
taken to a comfortable room for now, and perhaps you will share dinner with me
tonight? It is important we understand why you were imprisoned."

The voice of the creature continued to hound Dagoth
mercilessly..... but the words Loranna spoke to him overshadowed all the
creature said. Slowly, but surely, Dagoth's recovery rate increased. {she
doesn't love you} 'Lieing fool.' {you don't love her} 'If you weren't part of
me I would destroy you.' {nothing but a dead creature you are..... a heart, you
do not have} 'My heart is the only thing about me that does live, creature.'
{destroy you your emotions for her will} 'They are what makes my unlife worth
it.' {you will be the death of her} 'No, Sen-Yedda will be......' {believe what
you will...... meet again we will}
And with that, the creature's thoughts retreated to the darkest corner of
dagoth's mind, where he re-contained them until another deep mental scar
weakened him. Now the healing of his mind began to excelerate at an almost
dangerous rate.

Issa Yojimbo is sitting on a tall mountain in the Molag Amur
region, looking out over Suran and the Parade of Loranna's followers around the
area. The glyphs on his sword were constantly changing, as usual. His red
stolen Royal Guard armor was dirty and word. Underneath his cuirass, his black
robes fell out around his legs like a skirt, hiding Orcish boots. His head was
now covered in an Admantium helmet, which was probably stolen.
He knew that he had to wait.

She allowed the servant to escort her to a room. It was not large, but it was

Still, her thoughts reach out briefly to check on Dagoth, and she notes he's

"Your skin is beautiful," he gasps.

The Road to Vivec
The Hunters had began setting up ambush locations for the Archers. They would
fire into the Parade just after The main group engaged combat. Tarenen had
consided Spike pits, but decided Travelers on the road getting caught would be
annoying. As the body would need to be removed, the pit recovered, and missing
people attracted to much attention. He had no sympathy for civilians, they were
merely in the way.
Tarenen was a Soldeir and comander through and through. He was also very
skillful with Mysticism and Illusions. Some said he was the best. Tarenen
didn't care. He didn't need to compete with civilians. However, he
needed intell on the Parade. Waiting blindly was too dangerous. He called forth
his Lieutenent.
The Lieutenent was a Bosmer. Short even for a Bosmer, he had long straw colored
hair and eyes that were solid black. Those were eyes Tarenen found annoying.
Very hard to withdraw any emotion from them.
The Bosmer was named Bragor, and he was a very good illusionist. A good spy.
Perfect for this.
"Bragor, i wish for you to spy on the Parade, send your reports to me by a
recall spell, if discovered, kill as many of the targets as possible."
Tarenen said not looking away from the contrustion. The Wood Elf nodded and
disapeared in a flash of light.

Suran
After the events earlier Reichi decided to go to Suran's most famous Building.
Desele's House of Earthly Delights. He entered and took a seat. He ordered
himself a flin and watched the Dancers. Dar'var had entered as well , but not
for the dancers, Dar'var never fancied humans much. The Khajiiti slave behind
the counter was much more apealing.
At the suran Temple a Bosmer appeared breifly, before he seemed to vanish.
Bragor snuck into the massive crowd of followers. Switching illusions. He was a
Nordic barbarian, then a Khajiiti slave, then a Argonian scout, then a Dunmeri
nobleman...

Her expression becomes a bit more serious.
" ... Well, today, one of your fellow countrywomen taught me a lesson on
that," she says, brushing the hair out of her face and getting a
thoughtful look. " ... But I think today's going to be just talking
and both of us thinking of what comes next, if that's okay."
“As it suits you,” Jazbet smiled at her serious expression. “I would like you
to take my advice about the pregnancy, though. I am not all ulterior motives.
Not all … So, we are agreed? I will understand that as the Incarnate,
you are a woman but also a goddess,” And here he laughed again. “And you will
understand that as a Khajiit, I am a man … but also an animal.”

Loranna nods. "We are agreed - with one slight addition. Even as a woman
there's a bit of a monster in me; there is a reason why the Breton called me
Nord-Demon. But maybe that part of me is not to be as feared as I sometimes
think."
She fixes her eyes with his, the ever-shifting blue and green seeming like an
ocean that is coming to swallow him up. She walks over, wraps her arms around
him, and gently kisses first one cheek, then the other.
"If I'm not to be forgiven then I should at least be a proper tease,"
she says, letting him go and smiling. " ... Do be careful dear; things are
rushing to a finalie upon us all."
She rubs her neck. " ... Time to go back outside?" she suggests.

Screaming. . .screams were everything, and they were nothing.
Azrael's ears filled with screams that were not there, he felt pain that was
not there, fear that was not there.
But when something feels so close, who worries about the truth?
A tall man in a dark cloak, completely concealed, save for his piercing, blue
eyes stood in a doorway, enshrouded by his mysteriousness--he used emotions
like a toy, maneuvering past a small woman, who stood, screaming, and yet,
quiet to a point of utter ridiculous. Heavy footsteps thudded on the floor, and
Azrael rolled himself over, grabbing a pillow, shoving his face into it; here
he would wait for another day. . .yes, another day, tomorrow perhaps. Waking up
was always such a joy, here in the small home, roof thatched with straw, in the
middle of a group of lush, rolling hills. The sun was all that ever shone over
the lands--he couldn't recall ever seeing a less than perfect scene through the
windows. Perhaps he would wake up and this man would be gone, his mother making
a loaf of bread by the fire, and a little, wooden toy his father carved for him
would be sitting next to his head, staring down and telling him life was
alright. Yes, that is it; that is what will happen. . .
"Azrael, it's time to get up. . .Azrael? You can roll over now, he's gone,
the bad man is gone. . .You can trust me, it's fine now."

"There is a difference between knowing something, and knowing
someone, and for anyone who has ever known someone, this difference is
clear"
Azrael had been taken from his parents when he was 4; he remembered the night
quite well, recalled his mother's screams, his father's supplication to his
captor to return the child to his cradle, Azrael, to his resting place. . .His
father had wanted to take his place, this much was clear. In his dreams Azrael
often re-lived this night; he would dream through his own eyes, through his
mother's eyes, his father's, and through what he believed his captor's eyes
might have seen. It was quick, in, and out, with time to spare. . .
"Wait, no! We have to go back for the toy daddy made me! I'm supposed
to take care of it! What if it gets broken, and he finds it, and. . ."
The last time Azrael had seen his parents, he didn't really take the time to
look at them; it was as if his eyes had gone right through them, looking at the
breakfast sizzling above the fire, his wooden toys, just over his father's
shoulder. He never really knew his parents--4 years, and he didn't even know
what they were to him. . .
"Azrael, I said it's time to wake UP. . ."

risks causing damage to himself.
He who tries to grasp it,
thereby loses it.
It is natural for things to change,
sometimes being ahead, sometimes behind.
There are times when even breathing may be difficult,

Sometimes one is strong,

A few hundred yards away, in the hills north of Suran, sat the
Buoyant Armigers on a grassy patch of land. At this moment, the duty of
guarding Loranna had been passed to others; they were given a brief respite.
Each one carried a face of peaceful restfulness, such that only meditation
could create. They stood up, and bowed to the cool west wind. Now Latius Maltne,
the Captain of the Buoyant Armigers, began to chant the Scripture of the
Sword...
The sword, treated as a delicate meal, is the Symbolic Collage. It serves
you well in the first half of life. Name one dynasty that knows this not.
To begin the ceremony, blades were drawn, and in a graceful movement, held
vertically toward the south. The Armigers dug into low stances.
The unity of my approach is understood by the immobile warrior. True eyes
are acquired. Rejoice as my own subjects and realms. I build for you a city of
swords, by which I mean laws that cut the people who live there into better
shapes.
Slowly, the swords were brought down in a chopping motion, so the tip would
face the horizon.
Girls burn their dresses on my arrival if I am armored. They crawl to me as
bled pilgrims. Minor spirits die without trace. Follow me of all the ALMSIVI if
you are to mark your days with killing. AE ALTADOON, the third law of weaponry.
They brought their swords back, and then thrust them quickly through the air. The
attack was made together, and it was achieved by simultaneous breathing.
The immobile warrior is never fatigued. He cuts sleep holes in the middle of
a battle to regain his strength.
Again the Armigers slowly moved their swords towards the sky, by the hilt, to a
horizontal block over their heads, with their tips pointing westward.
Instinct is not reflex action, but mini-miracles held in reserve. I am the
welfare that decides which warrior will emerge. Beg not for luck. Serve me to
win.
A deft slash to the west created a whistle heard through the hills and islands
and ash.
The span of the apparently inactivated is your love of the absolute. The
birth of God from the netchiman's wife is the abortion of kindness from love.'
Taking the sword in their right hands, the Armigers created a second block by
pointing the tip towards the ground, and pushing the blade back to the east.
The true sword is able to cut chains of generations, which is to say, the
creation myths of your enemies. Look on me as the exiled garden. All else is
uncut weed.
They again put both hands on their hands and dextrously flipped it, managing a
lightning-fast chop.
I give you an ancient road tempered by the second walking way. Your hands
must be huge to wield any sword the size of an ancient road, and yet he who is
of right stature may irritate the sun with only a stick.
Finally, they bowed to east, sheathed their swords, and sat back down again.

Outside Suran: Doll
Doll's resourcefulness had been severely taxed in the past several hours.
She did not want anyone to know her connection to the General; she would prefer
that no one connect her to Loranna. Yet she was supposed to be in charge of the
slave exodus.
Her first breakthrough was Jo'Dato, an elderly Khajiit man, well educated, who
had served as a scribe and secretary to a Telvanni noble.
"I don't know what I'm going to do," he said. "Master Delvi
won't have a free Khajiit under his roof, he says. I can't go to Elsweyr. For
one thing, I've never been there in my life - I was born to ebony miners, in a
Telvanni mine in the hills abutting Red Mountain - and for another, I can't
imagine I'd fit in there. I would be ashamed to show my face among real
Khajiit."
"You are a real Khajiit," Doll said. "And you have an important
place now - you can serve as a bridge between these freed slaves, ignorant of
the outside world, and the people around them."
It was Jo'Dato who introduced her to Urjora. Urjora was the biggest Suthay-Raht
she had ever seen, lion-like, a carrier of burdens for House Dres. He was also
clever, personable, well-liked, and a good speaker. Urjora's booming shout
could be heard above a crowd, where hers could not be. And he was smart enough
to listen, as well as give orders.
Doll spent her money freely, handing out credit slips in the name of
Loranna-Azura. She knew that she would be reimbursed later. They needed basic
foodstuffs, bedding, medicine. They could live off the land to a certain
extent; she identified the hunters and the thieves. Some of the slave owners
were not allowing their slaves to keep even the clothes on their backs.
The important thing was to get moving quickly. Khajiit staying in one place for
any length of time would steal things. She didn't want to see them all hanged.
There was no ferry across Lake Masobi. To go by the only road - a long way back
by way of the Fields of Kummu and Pelagiad - was to add days to the journey.
There was another way. She gathered those who could cast spells - several, now
that the slave bracers were gone - and taught them the spell of water walking.
She used potions to boost her intelligence and magicka to absurd levels. And
then she cast water walking on them, one by one, and led the entire party
across Lake Masobi.
It was an impressive spectacle. People cheered. Some even cried.
Before the General returned from Solunastra, Doll and her people - or at least
a sizable number of them - were half a day's travel from Suran.

"Azrael, I said wake up, NOW. . ."
An ashen hand darted out from beneath the covers and swatted at the air
directly above the body it was connected to--child appendage doing the work for
it's parent body, symbiotic harmony, a perfect example; sometimes one's own
hand can feel as though it was, is, a completely different and unique being in
itself. . .
Feeling nothing, the hand slid back under the covers, wrapping itself around a
pillow that supported an equally dark, and slightly menacing, head--a head which
sported a small, golden colored tattoo near the brow-line, a handful of scars,
and two, peculiarly green colored eyes. . .nearly electric in hue. The eyes
opened, and there was nothing--no voice, no house, no blanket, and certainly no
pillow. There was only a small bedroll, a pile of brush, and a petite, warm
fire.
Azrael attempted to lift himself, but fell back to his original position after
wincing from an excrutiating pain in his side; he rolled over, until he lay,
stretched supinely on the mat, and looked down, towards the origin of this
horrible feeling. It might have been obvious that bandages would be covering
this spot--Azrael dared not peel them away, he knew better. . .
Coming to his senses, his eyes began to dart around, ears perked up. Only then
did he realize that he was in as foreign a place as he had ever seen, outside
of a remote pool of water, an area with no familiar signs, not one, and just as
quick, a feeling of urgency grabbed onto his slippery, clouded mind. Where was
he? He delved into his mind, trying to find some small memory of recent times,
desperate to know why he woke up where he did, how his position now came to be.
Why, the last thing he coulld recall was meeting Briaata', in a strange
room under the Temple Canton, in Vivec. . .

Slowly, even Dagoth's mental romantic hand-holding and the
memory of her encounter with the handsome Jazbet began to wear a little thin as

Slowly, with many soft smiles and words of encouragement, she makes her way

(LAST NIGHT, NEAR SURAN:)
The body of Dres Gaor hung upside down from the rock, as befitted a traitor. In
the light of the twin moons, a cliffracer searched through his disemboweled
corpse for the best bits. Catching a faint noise, it looked up suddenly, just
in time it to have its head caught in the jaws of the lunging wolf.
"Cut him down." The strong voice of Aricyn said to the two men at his
side, both Nords.
Within a very short time, the Dunmer's body was lighting up the night, blazing
upon its pyre.
"Why are we doing this, my Lord?" one of the Nords asked Aricyn.
"The world is full of traitors," replied Aricyn coldly, "but
this isn't one of them."
Long before dawn, the fire had gone out. Aricyn collected the grey ashes and
placed them in a Dunmer canopic jar. From Suran, he would send the small jar
home to the man's relatives.

" ... Oh, and I just recently had a talk with a Khaijiit about the theraputic

minds open on the idea."
Loranna looks deflated. She blinks, realizing she just spoke a novel.

QUOTE(Tholer_Saryoni @ Jan 5 2005, 09:00 AM)
You may attack my personal character, it matters not to
me. I have taken my profession up again through retirement, so that I may
achieve my final task as Archcanon. I have no hidden motives, nor desire
for power. My wish is to make Morrowind ready to recieve its new God.
Yet you, who should by rights personally protect this treasure, seek to destroy
it. By Alsmivi's grace, Helseth, I have never met a double-talker such as
you. In the past hour you have called the Tribunal a den of liars and
bearers of false-witness. Now you say you respect it. You have said
the Dunmer people are incapable of deciding their own fate, and now you say I
am ruling in a dishonest way, while I only believe in the same virtues as
them(I take great offense by your remarks - I have ruled just). By
this, I mean that Loranna's child will become our salvation. Now you
agree this child will at least carry the hope of the Dunmer people, which is
surely freedom from the Imperial yoke. Before you have named Sen-Yedda a
false hope.
I think it's time you had a history lesson. The Tribunal, before its
ascendence, served Nerevar, who was king. After his death they chose to
lead their people to a new plateau. I cannot believe you have forgotten
that we were not Dunmer at this point, we were Chimer. It was Azura who
turned our skin ashen, but we have continuted to honor Her as an
Anticipation. Now she, along with the Lord Vivec, has given us a fitting
gift.
It is rather simple indeed, you do not honor the Dunmer people. You have
spent most of your life outside Morrowind, your ears are clipped to make
yourself look like a human, imperial troops guard your palace, indeed, one is
here today. You have become an animal I do not know the taxonomy for, but
it is to our shame.
"You hear but you do not listen, Tholer. I respect the Tribunal for what
they have accomplished for they used the same tactics that I would. I was
pointing out that you seem to think that they were the shining light and should
be emulated. I say to you that I already am following their lead. And I have
never said that you are ruling in a dishonest way - you are a good servant of
the Triune, but you are blind. You spout their rhetoric as the truth when you
know it's a lie. As for Yen-Sadda, I have always said that it's a false hope,
by which I mean it will lead to war with the Empire. And that is a war we
cannot hope to win. And if Morrowind get's it's freedom, then what? Will the
Dunmer worship Yen-Sadda, who will lead them back to Daedra worship? Out of the
Empire and the Daedra, I know which is the lesser of two evils. It's a pity that
you do not.
"As for the 'history lesson', I know this already. The only reason why the
Tribunal allowed the Anticipations is that even they knew removing all
tradition of the Dunmer people would be folly.
"Do not be fooled by the fact that I've not spent my whole life in
Morrowind. I have a unique perspective of the land of the Dunmer - one that
let's me see what the 'Outlanders' think of this land. I also know how the
Empire likes to run things, and that is my main concern here.
"You wish for me to leave Vvardenfell and let Loranna complete her
journey, do you not?"

Fields of Kummu, Lake Amaya-
Corky leaned over the edge of land, drinking heartily from the lake when all of
a sudden a small, baby guar waddled over and started nudging him in the ribs,
"Beat it, kid" He snarled, slapping the small guar with his tail,
causing it to squeal and run away.
After a few minutes, Corky felt refreshed and decided it was time to head back
to town, upon turning around he was greeted with a large guars headbutt sending
him crashing into the lake. Obviously this is the runts mother... He
thought, seeing the small guar from earlier cowering behind its mother's leg.
"Uhh..sorry Ma'am, forgive and forget right?" He asked
apoligenically, he genuingly felt sorry about it, but for the most part he just
wanted to get out of the lake before that slaughterfish reached him. As he made
his way out, the Guar's mother made several grunting noises and tried to push
him back in, To this, Corky responded witha kick to the face, sending the Guar
crashing to the ground.
Several hissing noises were heard to his left, as he turned he noticed atleast
5 even bigger guars and a few smaller ones, "Hehe, this Guar's gotta
run" he cried, sprinting down the path in the opposite direction, towards
Suran, the other guars in hot pursuit.

The streets of Suran were always a little rowdy. At the moment they were very
rowdy. A few words with the right people told her who was in charge of the
disposal of Dres Gaor. The detail sent to guard the body, she found drinking in
Deselle's. They told her they had been relieved by two of Aricyn's men.
She found the ashes of the pyre and the body of a cliffracer.
If Solin had still been with the group, she might have spoken to him about the
rites of the Old Houses. There might be some essential thing she or Aricyn
would miss doing, as Nords. But she understood exactly what Aricyn had done and
why. No need to mention it to his face.
She grasped her magical dagger and rose into the air, then set off looking for
Doll.

Suran, Path to Suran-
Hurtling down the path, Corky could make out the archway gate leading into
Suran, where a second guard was now placed to assist the guard Corky had
earlier scared senseless.
"Oh no! there's that troublesome talking Guar again!" He screamed,
pointing it out to the other guard, to this he chucked "Oh yes, and it seems
he brang some little friends with him this time, and......and......they're not
slowing down!" The two guards sprawled to either side letting the
seemlessly fleet like horde of Guars sorm in.
I can't shake these guys... Thought Corky winding around a corner and up
some stairs, towards the Suran tradehouse. As the horde of other guars rounded
the bend several villager screams were heard, along with a few guards voices
calling out:
"It's a guar raid! retreat to your houses or places of buisness!"
Villagers and guards were being knocked over, left right and centre by the guar
fleet, who, honestly didn't know any better.

"A pity." The Breton said. "I suppose I should see
how the work is coming along."

He slid beneath the walls
A touched the side flame lacking...
The Breton stepped out of the void into the Clock Work City.
"Now where has he gone to, I must go look for him."
The Breton's search ended when Solin slipped back into the halls and domes of
whirring gears. His booted feet clanged as they connected with themetal floor.
In his hands he held a small device not of the city. There were openings at
either end and what appeared to be a hand crank. Gripping the tiny mechanism
tightly he began search the walls and floors of the chamber. He mumbled to
himself something about piping.

Loranna says, her lips curling into a grimace. "If I weren't afraid
doing so would ultimately destroy him he and I would at the very least be lying
together now, comparing Khaijiit petting to barmaid caresses. ... But he
did make me laugh, yes; he's one of the few people here I feel I can be myself

He is just one more raggedy figure in the crowd, but Loranna can feel his eyes

All around the town panic was fumigating, a large amount of
guars had stopped their chase of Corky and started causing havok among the
townsfolk, One in fact had managed to knock over a nearby cart of Ash yams spilling
them amongst the street causing many guards to slip on them and fall to the
ground.
On the other side of town 2 guars were repeadetly head butting a weaponless

dunmer boy had found a baby guar and decided to gently pat him...needless to
say it wasn't a good idea "Uaaaarrrrrggghhh!" grunted the guar biting
the small boy on the nose.
"aaaah! mommy!" He cried running in the opposite direction, shortly

guar away with a broom.

Temple Canton, Vivec
It would have been heaven to any other woman in Tamriel but Elysana, Queen of
Wayrest. She was in a beautiful apartment in the Temple Canton, had taken a
bath full of rose oil and petals, and was now lounging in on the most
comfortable couch she had ever touched.
But she was annoyed. A strange reaction from a prisoner of the King of
Morrowind, but nevertheless true. She wanted to be where the men were
discussing matters of state. It was not her way to sit in comfort when
important issues were being discussed.
When she saw the candles flicker, and one by one go out in her apartment, she
knew that Bosriel was near. And with her would be Leseth. For the first time,
she was not the least bit frightened seeing Leseth. She was looking forward to
it.

Solin stopped carefully working loose a small length of piping attached to an

evidence in the form of great power cords stretched across the roof of the
dome. Possibly the great mechanism died with the Clock Maker, Solin did not know
but, the strain had been too great and the engine had failed.
“It is within the realm of possibility to make it stronger than it was before,”

Doll, outside Suran:
Within the ranks of the slaves, contention had arisen. Doll should have
guessed, having been among oppressed people before, that they would fight
amongst themselves. The drive to find someone of lesser status is stronger than
compassion. And, while she had heard that people who have suffered learn
kindness and mercy, she had never personally observed it to be true. Mercy was
the prerogative of nobles, who had time to consider someone other than
themselves, and something to grant.
Shortly after the group of freed slaves had set out, the camp had split,
loosely, into 3 factions: the Khajiit, who were the majority; the Argonians,
who formed a substantial chunk of the population, and everyone else, the motley
bunch of Dunmer criminals, Nords who had been imprisoned while illegally
raiding Morrowind, more Imperials than you might expect, and even the
occasional Breton. There was even an Altmer mage who claimed to have been
stolen as a baby, and kept loudly insisting that if they wrote to his parents,
they would confirm his story and send money.
Now some among the Khajiit were insisting that the Argonians buy their own
supplies, rather than sharing food and drink with the Khajiit. Racial insults
were thrown. Then fists. Doll readied a calm spell.
Urjora, the enormous Khajiit, waded into the middle of the conflict, roaring.
Bodies were flung to the side.
After the wounded were healed, there was a new structure in the encampment;
Urjora appointed several large Khajiit to help him keep order. He did not
appoint any Argonians.

Ascadian Isles:
Allerleirauh heard them before she saw them, a great mass of people bathing in

were laughing and playing. She had heard that Khajiit despised water, but these
seemed happy enough. Not far away, a group of men and mer were skinning a bull
netch. Not knowing how to do it properly, they had pierced the flight chamber,
and it smelled awful.
Farther off, a group of female Khajiit picked saltrice in a field. They were
not harvesting, but picking it eagerly, gathering armfuls and carrying them
away.
Smoke rose from a huge bonfire. The source of the wood was a shed which had
been destroyed. Nearby was a farmhouse, which people entered empty-handed and
emerged from with full hands, carrying furniture, tapestries, boxes. Like a
stream of ants devouring a carcass.
Doll stood, a petite, upright figure in netch leather armor, on a rock
outcropping overlooking the lake. Allerleirauh descended through the air and
touched down next to her, releasing her dagger of flight. She felt her toes try
to grip the curving rock, through her boots, before she found her balance.
"You're going to be angry with me," Doll said. "I don't blame
you. But there was nothing I could do."

The Void
QUOTE(Rhedd @ Jan 5 2005, 05:20 AM)
"So be it. You will be allowed to cheat fate this time, for
Bosriel's sake, but I would hesitate to expect this of me again."
The queen opened her mouth to speak, but like a sudden storm, Leseth moved
forward and caught her up within the black of his cloak. His armor pressing her
cheek was as cold as ice, and sleep quickly began to overtake her in the
darkness.
'Don't tell her,' said the little dark-haired girl, wiping her blood-red lips.
'That she would have had one more guard, but for me ... I couldn't help it ...
I was hungry ...'

QUOTE(w0nders @ Jan 5 2005, 10:17 AM)
The larger guar lets out a low growl, and begins to slowly
advance towards Nalion while this is happening the two other guars reel around
and attempt to dive on top of Nalion.
Meanwhile a few guards had regained their composure and were now eagerly
fending off guars around the town, atleast 3 so far have fallen to their
blades, in response to this, One of the baby guars had launched off its mothers
back and landed on the shoulders of a helmless guard, it furiously bit into the
guards head.
"Three now?", Nalion thinks, just before he gets hit quite hard by a
guar nose. "Ouch, hey, that hurt!" He rubs his left side.
Then he gets an idea. He jumps back and casts a levitation spell.
He climbs slowly on nothing but air, until he is high enough that a guar can't
reach him, then he begins to poke the guars with his staff, hoping to get their
full attention. The occaisonal "Rawr" he shouted made him feel silly.

getting poked by Nalions staff, He grunts a strange noise then the most unusual
thing happens, one of the guars crouches slightly and the second climbs on top,
finally the larger guar ran up the 2 guars like stairs and lept for Nalion,
what could only be described as a grin was visible on his face.
Meanwhile the guard fell to the ground screaming, the 2 guards with him trying
to get the baby guar off of his head, careful not to use their weapons.

Elysana screamed in her sleep. She faced nightmares she had never seen before.
It was death, pure and simple. A cold land, where even the ambitions of the
most ambitious Queen in Tamriel seemed absurd. She screamed
And screamed
And screamed

Ascadian Isles:
"They killed the farmers," Doll said. "One old woman - Dirara
Drom - shouted to them that she would call the law to make them slaves again.
And now they are taking everything."
The young voice was calm and clear.
"I killed the slaughterfish and the dreugh in the water," Doll said.
"They would have gone right in. They know better, there are such creatures
in the lands where they have been living. But they think, right now, that
freedom makes them immortal. I was going to take them around, by land, to
Ebonhart. But they want to go through the City of Vivec, so that they can spend
their money to buy things there. The path goes past Ald Sotha, where Sotha Sil
was born so long ago. I went ahead and fought a daedra there, but more came
back, as soon as my back was turned."
"I know the place," Allerleirauh said. "It fell, long ago. I
have heard that Nerevar rescued Seht from the ruins as a child. Other stories
tell that it is Vivec who rescued him. But Seht was much older than Vehk."
"The same path has a bridge," Doll continued. "It leads across
into the City of Vivec, into the Telvanni canton."
"That's insane," Allerleirauh said.
"They think they will take some of their lost pride back. They don't
understand that they will be killed, for the Telvanni have no great fear of
Azura. I think I will go ahead and speak to Saryoni, whom the Armigers say has
announced Sen-Yedda as the new God of the Dunmer. Perhaps he has power over the
Telvanni."
"He doesn't," Allerleirauh said flatly. "They need to go the
other way. I will speak with them."

It is a odd feeling, being hit by a reptile herbivore while levitating 10 feet
above the ground. The guar grins at Nalion when it hits the mages left shoulder
with a loud crack, sending him spinning around.
Nalion feared that his shoulder was broken by the impact.
At least, the guar did not hit him fully. Instead, it now experienced what was
in scholars terms called "gravity".
Nalion sincerely hoped that other guars wouldn't repeat this little trick, but
levitated a bit higher.
His shoulder ached and began to throb and so Nalion used his ring of healing.
He continued poking and teasing random guars, though, now always keeping an eye
upon them, and began to lead them south, trying to get them out of town.
