The Elder Scrolls Forums _ Elder Scrolls Lore _ RP: Morrowind Moonlight

Posted by: Loranna Jul 30 2005, 05:20 AM

Hello, and welcome to our Elder Scrolls Role Playing threads, where we adventure and socialize in the vibrant land of Tamriel.

Before we begin, we'd like to clarify a few things:

This is an 'open roleplay' and everyone is encouraged to join in at any time!

'Open' roleplay does not mean 'unorganized' or 'limitless', however. The events in this story are usually planned, and if something BIG happens, you can be certain that it is the result of much discussion between players, usually in the mIRC chat (#Loranna_RP). This is not just a bunch of disorganized individuals doing what they think would be fun for their character at the time.

So, while everyone is welcome to join in, they are NOT welcome to jump in and do big, world-changing things without DISCUSSING IT FIRST. Let me be very clear about what cannot be done without permission:

1:
Any action that effects another person's character, for ill or good. Although most people realize they can't harm another person's character without permission, many don't realize that you can't HELP another character without permission, either. Many characters have flaws for a reason. Don't go healing, saving, or otherwise fixing another character without DISCUSSING IT FIRST with the player involved.

2:
Any event that would drastically change things that have been done to the world, whether the change is physical (rebuilding destroyed locations), political (converting a population to a new cause), military (killing off all the badguys) or anything else. Almost every situation, good or bad, that exists in the RP was done for some reason. Don't go changing or fixing things without DISCUSSING IT FIRST with the group.

Everyone who is involved in the RP is welcome in the mIRC chat channel #Loranna_RP. If you have a plot idea then you are encouraged to go there and discuss it. If you cannot get on the channel for some reason, or if the player whos character you would affect with your plan is not there, then PM them using this board's PM function. That's what it's there for.

For information on reaching #Loranna_RP via Mirc or Chatspike, look http://www.ravensky.org/irc/.

Not following the above advice will only result in one thing: your post is likely to be completely ignored by everyone as if it did not happen. This is obvously not good for anyone, so please, discuss major events before doing them.

Remember: Secret plans and surprises are seldom fun for anyone else. Before they're revealed they're boring, because nobody knows about them, and afterwards they're just annoying, because nobody knew about them.
Thank you, and have fun!

She was then attacked by assassins the very next day and barely escaped with her life, though she took the assassins down in the process. Now, she is helping Nalion assemble void and fire salts for a Daedra Summoning, though when she returns she mentions " ... You know, we really don't want to have a Daedra Duke running around when Barenziah is in town ..."

Motioning Slyvos to him and Loranna, the Breton continued.
"I do not know yet which part this new Khajiit can play in the summoning. If she has skills in conjuration, she may be useful, but I will have to know her better befor I entrust her with that task. However, three people maintaining the summoning are a good way to keep the control, I think."

"In theory, yes," Slyvos says. "In practice though ... well, it takes more than just knowledge of the incantations to make a good summoner, especially when you're dealing with something on this level. If she's the type to spook easily ..."

"We should interview her before letting her do anything," Loranna says, earning her a sidelong glance from Slyvos, whose tail gradually droops.

"Yeah, we could do that," Slyvos says without much enthusiasm. " ... You know, not to be too paranoid, but ... well, here she is, a newcomer, on the eve of an attack on Loranna; we sure we want to invite this person in on the summoning?"

Summary-

Dante, male Dunmer, is at the tavern in Ald Raathim...

Illidan, male Dunmer, former vampire, is over there...somewhere.
---------------------

Sitting in the tavern was getting increasingly boring for Dante, the more he drank, the harder it became to block out the consistent chatter blowing from the guard's mouth next to him.

Dante sighed, then stood. Before he headed off to the castle, he recalls leaving a pen in Loranna's office.

"Indeed," Loranna says, walking over to Dante and running her fingers along his new armor. "Interesting; matches the gauntlets ..."

Slyvos gives Dante a little half-wave, muttering "Hi," and flicking his tail somewhat impatiently. All he could think of was the time back in Gemin when Dante tried to fool that lich ...

Posted by: Sir Radont Jul 30 2005, 05:57 AM

Radont made his way quickly to the mages guild, he paid the guild guide and was soon teleported to Vvardenfell. As soon as he arrived the Imperial Knight went directly to the nearest fort. After consulting with the forts leader he took three well trained soldiers and headed out to find the Daedra Shrines.

They were young recruits intent on proving themselves to the Knight. Their steel boots clanked over rocks and splashed through streams as they searched the East coast of the Island. Their efforts paid off when the toppling towers and haphazard blocks of stone came into view.

“OK,” Radont said, turning to his three companions, “This one looks like it hasn’t been disturbed for quite some time, there should be some Daedra still in there.”

He unsheathed the Akaviri blade he got from Dragon back in Solunastra, he reflected for a moment, wondering how the mystical place was holding up but pushed the thought from his mind and moved towards the door.

The door swung wide open and no less than twelve Daedra looked up at the intrusive Imperial. Red eyes burned at Radont, his grey piercing eyes stared unflinchingly back.

In an instant he was running along the edge of the cavern, the three trailers jumped in and split up. The daedra went into a frenzy heaving spells in the direction of the Imperials.

They dodged, struck, jumped, parried, swung, ducked, and fought their way through the throng of demons. When at last the final blow had been dealt there lay on the ground glimmering piles of fire salts. Radont stooped down and took a handful, letting it sift through his gauntlet clad fingers.

“Excellent work men,” he said, standing.

Radont collected the salts and headed back to Ald Raathim along with the three soldiers. He dropped the salts off at the mages guild and told the proprietors to give them only to Nalion.

The Imperials made their way to the castle, their boots clanking on the stone roads. Radont knocked on the door.

"All is well for now." Dante repeated, placing one of his own hands on Nalion's shoulders. "Yeah, it's quite strange, I would've expected him to be here by now."

"So...what's up?" He asked everybody present, with a small smirk.

Posted by: Loranna Jul 30 2005, 06:05 AM

Sir Radont is admitted into the castle by the guards, though the sight of the other soldiers draws a few looks.

"Well ..." Loranna says to Dante, "Let's see ..."

She swiftly covers the recent events; the earlier attacks, the coming of Barenziah, the recent attack on her person, Nalion's plans.

" ... So we're a bit busy, you see," she concludes. "And I'm still a bit out of it, myself; this morning was not a fun experience."

Seeing that the dignified altmer (though is there any other kind?) was beginning to get her back up from the surprise of three strangers demanding the salts, Shaka asked Isidor and Ahjaar to give him a moment.

Taking the altmer aside, Shaka whispered the Mages Guild password to her to confirm that she was talking to at least one mage. He then reemphasized their urgent need for as much of her void and fire salts as could be spared, and said that Dres Loranna would compensate the Guild for them.

At last, Shaka distributed the local Guild's stocks among the three adventurers and thanked the apothecary. Shaka turned to the open faces of Isidor and Ahjaar, who seemed both to be intent on fulfilling their mission as fully as possible.

"Isidor, I think we need to get more," said Shaka as they talked in one corner of the Guild. "I have a couple of options: I can summon storm atronachs through the Spear and kill them; they're basically mindless golems, not living creatures, so the morality of it won't bother me as much. Or we can split up and take the Guild transport to as many other Mage Guilds as possible in as short a time as possible. I vote we go with the second option, but I want both of your opinions."

He studied Ahjaar. So the Khajiit had some mage knowledge as well, or so she claimed? Her background was even more complex than he had assumed, but there was no time to piece together Ahjaar's lost past.

Shaka also thought of the Bosmer thief/assassin Anya. He hadn't seen her in Loranna's study. Maybe she had reported in later and had gone to look for salts on her own. He wished her well, and the others like Radont.

OCC SUMMARY

Reichi, the male Dunmer former assassin and current Werewolf had, in the last thread, run into Ahjaar and so had Shaka, and since leaving her in the Healer's shack he's been wandering about some more, and received news of the Queen mother's soon-to-come arrival. And the bothed assassination attempt on Loranna. He has begun looking to gather the neccesary salts.

"Either one works for me," Reichi said, having entered the Mage's Guild in time to catch that part of the conversation, a grin on his face. "Storm Atronachs are hard to fight with shortblades though. Being made of stone." Reichi shrugged, the tone of his voice when he said shortblades was enough to give Shaka or even Isidor a idea of what he'd rather use.

Posted by: Xyber02 Jul 30 2005, 10:18 AM

"Wood elf? What we're you thinking, we don't take them, they're harder to break and less people find it 'moraly right' to own a Bosmer."

"I know, but there weren't too many of those stinking cats or sloads out this time, I think we've been to zealous in the past in capturing them."

"Fine I'll take them, those wood elf females look cute and spry enough, made we can pawn these slaves off to some lecherous fools."

Anya woke up inside a cave, locked behind a wooden door, catching the tail end of the conversation. Slaves? she thought.

Blinking, she saw her older sister in the corner, along with a few Kahjiits and Argonians. Looking at herself, she saw that her clothes had been replaced, though the might have been a step down from the tattered remains of and a bracer was chafeing her right arm.

As she began to cry her sister came over and hugger her close, "Shhh, don't cry sweety. They gave us these clothes, and I dressed you while you slept. It'll be OK, we'll get out."

Waking up, but this time with slightly less drama than previous nights, Anya stared at her armor, remembering she had been working on her Glass Curaiss.

Am I getting used to these nightmares? I just, I just wish that they would stop mixing, they are bad enoiugh to not expereince them all at once.

Grabbing her armor, she atempted to put a pauldron on her left arm, but immediatley dropped it. Glancing, she saw her arm shaking. Pulling up the sleave, she rubbed her scars again, but this time pain shot through her arm and shoulder.

Wincing, she got dressed in normal clothes she had wrangled from the closet. It's been a while since I didn't wear armor anyway, it's be nice to pretty myself up. But the healer said I didn't have any more problems, why does it hurt?

Heading to the tavern, smiling meekly she asked the barkeeper, "You wouldn't happen to have anything to make me forget, would you?"

Ahjaar nodded. "Yes, let's use the teleports. It would be much easier that way, and we can save our magicka for the summoning."
Ahjaar shifted her weight. "We can also check the magic shops, if the guilds don't have fresh supplies."

"One thing, crew -- don't strongarm the mages today. We don't want to burn any bridges that Loranna might need later. And don't steal the salts, whenever possible."

"I'll see you back at the castle in 24 hours," he said. "Go to all points of the compass. Good luck."

Ahjaar hurried to the first magic shop she saw. It was an old musty old shop, the kind you'd expect an elderly wizard would own.

An old sign hung above on a rusting pole, the sign reading: Red Jewl's Magic Supplies.

She walked in, and a bell rang as she opened the door.
The walls were lined with shelves holding jars of all kinds of stuff: Rat feet, eyes, powders and lots of other things.
Ahjaar made her way over to the counter, where a young dunmer, about age 15, was sorting herbs. He did not seem to notice her.

"Ah, hello." Ahjaar said, trying to get the boy's attention. The elf didn't look up, but just continued to sort the herbs.
"hello?" Ahjaar said, waving her hand.
At that moment a dunmer woman came out of the back room with a box.
"Oh, don't bother, dear. He can't hear you, he's deaf." She said as she placed the box on one of the mant shelves. "Can I help you?"

"Ah, yes" Ahjaar said. "I need as much Fire and Void Salts as this can buy." She but the bag of gold Shaka had given her down on the counter.

"Well, how much do you have there?"
Ahjaar wasn't sure, and the bag was heavy. "About 1000, I guess."

The woman nodded. I have a box of void salts in the back." She disspeard into the back room for a moment then returned with a box. "Not much in here, I'm afraid. I'll charge, let's see, about 450 gold for it."

It was a good deal, figuring that void salts were about 75 gold for a cup of it. Ahjaar gave her the gold, pickd up the box and headed for th castle.

Loranna smiles. "Thank you Sir Radont," she says, nodding to the three recruits. "And thank you three as well; you're a credit to your commander and to the Legion."

She considers for a brief moment; Dram had been making noises about wanting more guards, but on the other hand Vvardenfell needed all the help it could get right now ...

"I appreciate the offer of your services, and would be honored to have you, but Vvardenfell's need is greater than Ald Raathim's right now," she says.

"Sounds good," Radont said to Loranna, he turned and addressed his troops, "Make sure you stop at the tavern on the way out, I'll give a full report to your commander at the fort." He saluted, the soldiers exited.

Shaka stepped onto the teleport platform, and felt the familiar, to him, wrench as he was sent to Vvardenfell. High Rock was still off-limits for teleportation, and he had decided to start with a land more familiar to him . . . .

Half a day later, Shaka stepped off the platform and back into the Ald Raathim guild. His face was impassive, but it had been sobering. He had shifted to several towns and used up his gold, at inflated prices. Vvardenfell would be rebuilding for years to come, he saw again.

At any rate, he was back. He nodded his thanks to the guild guide and strode quickly through Ald Raathim to the castle on the bluff.

"He little lady, did you get what you were looking for?" Snapping out of her revery, Anya noticed the barkeeper talking to her.

Shaking her head she answered, "No, it's all still there, thinks for the drinks anyway."

Tossing some coins on the bar, Anya headed outside. As she walked through the town, she noticed people bustling to and from the Mage's Guild. Walking in, she noticed Shaka talking with Reichi and a Khajiit she didn't recognize.

"Shaka what's going on, was there something I missed?"

*

"Anya, hello. You must have missed the attempt on Loranna's life then." He studied the blonde woodelf -- rare for a Bosmer, as far as he knew. Shaka hadn't noticed her green eyes before either.

"You're not wearing your armor today, I see. This is Ahjaar, she jumped ship a couple of days ago but can't remember most of her past. Ahjaar, this is Anya. Looks as if we have a lot of catching up to do. Why don't you come along to the Mage's Guild too, Anya?"

"We've been collecting Void and Fire salts for a penticle. Nalion is going to summon a Deadra Duke to help dechiper something."

Looking at Ahjaar, and greeted her, "It's a pleasure to meet you. No Shaka, I decided to not wear my armor, it ummm, get's uncomfortable sometimes. Yeah, uncomfortable. But yes, let's take this inside, I have a little bit of catching up to do, my minds been... elsewhere these past few days." Her eyes adopted a far off look as if she was looking past her companions at asomething else, but it quickly left as she remembered the gift, "I'm assuming it was you who brought that goblet to my room? It is a lovely peice, and I most certainly am glad for it."

"I'm glad you like that goblet, Anya. It was one of my favorites too. As for the salts, Nalion is trying a major conjuration . . . the equivalent of a Duke among the daedra. He's trying to get answers on who tried to destroy the tavern as well as Loranna."

Isidor returned from Caldera, salts in his traveling pack. They had cost him a pretty drake, but he did not question Nalion. As he stepped out of the Mages Guild, he saw Shaka and Anya "Hail, Shaka!".

He turned and walked to the clothier.

When he arrived in the shop, he walked to counter right away, and said in a low voice "Do you have a black traveling cloak?"

The clotheir replied by reaching under the counter and withdrew a small, black, package. "Here you go, Master Nord. Finest silk, with black dye." Isidor dropped some drakes on the counter and walked out, and to the Mages Guild.

Nalion was already present at the mages guild, running over some lines of a spell and checking the summoning circle with Slyvos. He gave off a busy aura.

The mages guild of Ald Raathim was a larger farmhouse and it was sturdily built. The summoning room of the guild was located in the cellars, and it was a round and slightly cavernous room which was a storage chamber before the Guild was built. Now, the chamber was equipped with bookstands facing a pre-drawn summoning circle. Intricate writings and spells were drawn around the circle which served as binding glyphs. The cavernous cellar was lit by eight braziers that were also arranged in a circle.

Loranna stands with Nalion and Slyvos, clad in a blouse and skirt ensemble she recently had made and enchanted to offer her protection against blows and magic when she could not be in her armor. The dagger that had been used against her that very morning was strapped to her leg, hidden under her skirt - it was, by what she learned from personal experience, a useful weapon against magically-enhanced opponents.

She still didn't feel totally at one hundred percent, but this was important - and they may need her magic if something went wrong. Which, hopefully, wouldn't happen.

Ahjaar nodded, then leaned agensit the wall.

There was something about Slyvos voice that told her he didn't trust her, and Ahjaar understood fully why. Her she was, some strange Khajiit that can't remeber didly sqat comes out of nowhere nd now she wants to help summon a powerful demon. Ahjaar sighed. Oh well. Hopefully when this was over Loranna would help her with her memory, then she could go else where. That was the only reason she was sticking around; at least untill her memory came back.

Posted by: Dagoth Lich Jul 30 2005, 08:44 PM

Slyvos turned to face everyone that was here, a serious look on his face.

'if any of you even touch the circle, I won't be held responsible for the creature we are summoning for tearing you to unnoticeable shreds in ways mortals are not meant to see. Now, if the pleasantries are out of the way, everyone shut up and let me and Nalion work'

He gave Loranna a reassuring nod, and stepped into the circle, spacing his feet at least 1ft. apart from each other, just inbetween the runes, and taking off his robe, discarding it out of the circle; it was easier to reach into Oblivion without such mundane hinderances. He took out a rather sharp dagger and held it at his side, letting his shoulder relax a bit and taking a deep breath, a look of fierce determination covering his face.

'teshia gatheth yio marka nath oro hath'

As he said the first part of the incantation he took the knife and placed the blade to his palm, cutting it enough to draw blood and then proceeding to walk around the circle, pouring it on the circumference and chanting the next part.

'vesia nerca nor uthazx cai...'

He practically hissed the last word in that part of it, and taking the bloodstained knife and driving it into the stone floor so hard that it actually embedded itself, right in the center of the circle.

And now the bindings were needed, before we could continue. Both slyvos and nalion would be trapped in here while this was happening...

Unnoticeable to others, Nalion took a breath.
The mages' eyes were fixed onto the summoning circle and his face showed the strain of the incantation. It was his task to maintain the binding. Whereas with lesser Daedra summoning was easier, with the task they had at hand, Nalion would not risk this daedroth to wriggle itself free from the bonds of the spell.

His mouth was moving as he quietly spoke binding incantations. Those who were near him could not make out the exact spell, but only some words. "Oath-bound." "Into clan-form." "I bind you."

Posted by: Dagoth Lich Jul 30 2005, 08:57 PM

Slyvos closed his eyes, focusing on calling into Oblivion itself to summon this being forth.

'blood of death. blood of power. awaken sleeper, thy presence beckons...'

He began channeling the energies needed, the dark powers visibly surrounding him as his eyes began to glow a menacing shade of purple, variating between light and dark, almost as though he was trying to force the energies into submission, into control.

'havethx uteriz demonicus rezaweq...'

The entire building began to shake and shiver as the rift between this world and Oblivion was breached, the summoning nearing completion.

A cold chill seemed to make the flames of the eight braziers flicker and everyone attending the ritual could feel another presence forming.

Alien.

Fear-inspiring.

Inimical.

Darkness seemed to concentrate on the center of the drawn summoning circle forming a mass of brooding change whirling inside the glowing wards that were set to keep the creature under the spell. Inside the black cloud, glowing dark red and yellow marks appeared, hissing through the darkness faster and faster. The marks grew to flames and then, an outline of a figure became visible. Despite the flames, no heat could be felt, instead, the chill grew worse. Then, the darkness retreated into the figure and gave it substance.

In front of the group stood a tall and slender woman, clad in almost transparent robes scarcely hiding anything. Her shapely legs were bare. A gleaming daedric tanto was tugged in her belt, from where a silken red sash hung almost to the floor. She was lovely to behold, a face shining with unnatural beauty, long black hair falling in waves over her back, her smile was inviting with lips speaking of sweet promise. Yet, in her eyes was a darkness that threatened to swallow everything. She folded her arms - protected by black-and-red bracers - under her bosom, then slightly inclined her head, waiting patiently.

Ahjaar became tense let out a growl. Smething was wrong, and she could sense it. Her tail puffed up and her ears layed back.

Loranna had watched Slyvos and Nalion perform the ritual with a grim expression, thinking back to the time when she and Slyvos performed a necromantic ritual to learn why the ghosts of the unfullfilled were returning. That ritual had been harrowing, horrific, a pain upon the soul.

This ritual was different, but in some ways, Loranna thought uneasily, it was equally harrowing, almost as horrific. The inimical, alien presence brought back memories of having Azura in her, which made her mouth set into an even thinner line than before.

And then ... the Daedra stood before them. Proud, inhumanly beautiful, eyes reminding Loranna of a hunger she first noticed in herself when she used Azura's power to draw men's memories from their minds ...

Loranna shivered despite herself; a part of her felt offended by the woman-shaped being before her, by her use of human beauty to pursue her own ends. Part of her offendedness stemmed from her own appreciation of the charms the Daedra's form possesed ...

Then, she regained control of herself, and inclined her head, civilly.

Anya watched the woman form, and slowly got a look of disgust. From her odd cant she had when standing and the elegant form she took, to the way she folded her arms and the clothes she wore, it was obvious she used more than just her wit to manipulate people.

For an elf that used her fluting voice and innocent, cute face to get what she wanted as well, she was put off by the fact that there was another in the room like that.

Glancing around, she noticed everyone else, mostly the men, had a transfixed gaze of varying degrees of fatuation on her. Slightly shaking her head, she watched the rest of the events unfold.

Slyvos looked at the daedra 'woman' in front of him with a varying mix of emotions; lust, suspicion, admiration, hatred, but managed to keep his face straight. He knew the best way to adress this situation, was to show that you were not afraid... and actually not be afraid either. A trademark reason summoners can remain alive is their pride.

'I summon you to delve into your secrets, at your discretion of course...'

He held up the sigil Nalion had given to him, looking the being right in the eyes as he stands there, de-robed and not even trying to hide any physical reaction his body was having.

'What does the abbreviation LHKLGH mean, in terms mortals can understand. Answer... and I will release thee without a second thought'

Ahjaar looked over at Shaka. His gaze was fixed upon the feminine demon, and Ahjaar shook her head in disgust. She elbowed Shaka, then looked at Nalion to see what he'd do next.

*

A part of Shaka felt the elbow, but he and the other males in the room were still riveted. Somehow I expected a four-armed orc, he thought.

"Be with you in a minute .... Ahjaar ...." he muttered unthinkingly.

Isidor watched the whole event, his axe tightly gripped, as both a precaution and a support. He seemed to be the only male present that wasn't drooling over the Daedra. He found it to eerie to be attractive.

Isidor looked at the woman who had appeared in front of them. She was beautiful, but in a haunting, frightening way. He gripped his axe and stepped foward a little bit, gazing around at the group.

Glancing at Isidor, the demon put her hand on her mouth and blowed a kiss towards the Nord, then she winked, almost as if that was a promise.

The summoned woman, upon seeing Shaka's expression, gave a white teethed smile and a pure laughter.
"What did you expect, mortal? A Dremora? A Vermai? Herne? You wanted someone more powerful than just a lesser servant. And do you wonder why one such as I has answered the call?"

QUOTE(Dagoth Lich @ Jul 30 2005, 09:21 PM)

*

She shifted her weight from one strangely toeless foot to the other, making her scarce clothing shift revealingly in the movement.
"If you are looking for discretion, sorcerer, you have summoned the wrong one.", the daedroth smiled, her body moving invitingly.
"However, I am amused that most of you would defy me as a demon, yet still you come to us and plea for help. I enjoy the irony. Very much so."
The daedroth looked at the sigil and laughed out loudly, this time mocking and terrifying at the same time. "Puny mortals, you try and tamper with us and call yourselves wise, yet you do not recognize this?"

"I can answer your question, mortal and I can help you with your current 'problem' at the same time, but, of course, there will be a price to pay. I am sure though that you know this already. So, what do you say?"

Posted by: Loranna Jul 30 2005, 09:35 PM

"I would ask," Loranna says, pushing the image of Slyvos's condition from her mind with vehemence, "what price you would ask of us in return for this, lady."

Lady ... The use of that word brought back more memories of Azura, but she was trying to be civil ...

"I am not that which you would call a 'Lady', former incarnate mother.", the daedroth replied. "But I am called Faydra Shardai in your simplistic tongue. Faydra, for you."
She pulled herself up to her full height.

"I will tell you a tale now and I will not repeat myself, so listen carefully.", the woman began, in a voice that was pleasant to listen to, her every soft word was seducing.

"In an unrecorded year during Jagar Tharn's reign, which your historians would call the 'Imperial Simulacrum', Lord Mehrunes Dagon invaded the Battlespire, the training ground for these puny imperial Battlemages. They did not last long.", she said, chuckling to herself.

"However, a hero was able to fight himself through the Battlespire, finally encountering Lord Dagon and banished him back to Oblivion. Some of you may wonder how he was able to do this. The key to defeating him was using his protonymic and neonymic incantory names and striking him with a sword called 'Moon Reiver'." With an evil knowing smile, the daedroth looked at Loranna for a brief moment.

"You perhaps wonder how the hero of the Battlespire managed to gain access to these names. The protonymic was given to him by one Chimere Graegyn, the scholars among you might know the name. The neonymic of Dagon - and my own names and those of Xivilai, another clan leader - were given to him by one of us. Imago Storm.", the woman almost spat out in contempt as she spoke the name. "The hero threatened Xivilai into giving up and thus, the coward gave way before him. I did not yield and was banished."

"It is time that Imago feels what it means to be banished this way - by your hands. I will give you his protonymic and neonymic and further hints as to how he can be banished. Know, mortals, that Imago Storm is near, and I believe you have already seen some destruction. I also demand that I am summoned there once you banish Imago Storm. I want to see his demise. It will be part of our deal. I will give you an artifact to call me." She paused for a moment.

"In return, I offer you information about the sigil you hold in your possession, give you hints as to what needs to be done to banish Imago Storm and promise that by doing so, you will find that two grave dangers threatening your precious Ald Raathim will be averted."

"I will win and see Storm's destruction, you will live a little bit longer after defeating him. Do we have a deal?", she asks, her stance inviting and seducing.

"Very good, so the pact has been agreed upon. Oath-bound we are now.", she smiled, her eyes again threatening anyone who looked into them to swallow him whole. A pleasant and self-satisfied smile appeared on her face.

"Here is, that which you want to know.", Faydra explained. "The sigil you see and the letters 'LHKLGH' that are enclosed within it, are the consonants of a name. Behold, mortals, the protonymic incantory name of Lord Mehrunes Dagon - Lehkelogah."

"And now, for Imago Storm. This is what you need."

"Imago Storm's protonymic is Hewrohcheh and his neonymic incantation is Djehzehpeh. Use them wisely and in a way where he cannot strike at all of you to disrupt the incantation."

"After this, you must strike him with a weapon specifically prepared for this event."

"One of many I was,
And cut through my enemies.
Served well, I have,
Yet outlawed I am."

"All siblings of mine,
Destroyed they were.
Only I remain,
To be wielded again."

"An enemy's life-sap,
And a friend's heartsblood,
Empower my edge,
To deal the final blow."

"Here is the the artifact that I mentioned. While holding it, speak my name and I will come. Speak the name of the weapon required to defeat Imago and the mortal who touches the artifact will have the chance to acquire it. The location of Imago Storms hideout is a small cave, just outside the borders of your district, to the east. Capable scouts should find it. Anymore questions, mortals?", Faydra asked.

After recovering, Nalion watched Ahjaar leaving the guild, with a grim and determined expression.
"Do she perchance know how difficult it was to actually hold an angry daedroth?", Nalion exclaimed angrily, an expression that was seldomly seen on his face. "I am now very glad that we did not need her in the summoning. Has she just the slightest idea what would have happend if she lost her temper while speaking binding spells?"

He stood for a moment with his hands on her shoulders. "I'm going to go back and see where I stand with them. You don't have to go back yet .... Just don't run away forever."

Shaka walked back to the Mage's Guild quickly.

Walking through the town, Shaka stopped. Maybe I'd better ask her to apologize in person, he thought. He turned back to the beach.

Reichi stumbled into the mages guild, looking harried and disheveled. His Wolf fur armor was severaly ripped and torn in several places, singed in some places, burned away in others. He was covered with a fine white powder, as if he had been smashing stone recently, and didn't wash off. He walked towards the summoning room, when one of the mages noticed him and the contents of the sack.

"They already summoned that daedra," the mages said. Reichi gave a exasperated sigh, holding the bag up. "So how much will you give me for these then?" he said. Might as well get something of worth out of this deal.

A sack of Viod and fire salts later, Reichi pocketed a large amount of gold.

Ahjaar watched the waves break on the shore then pull out, break then pull out. This pattern semed to calm her down some, but questions of her actions hammered her mind?

Since the demon was pissed, would the others be in danger now when the re-called it?

Would Slyvos and Nalion forgive her.

She sighed. She heard footsteps aproaching, so she turned around to find Shaka coming back to the beach.

The daedric sanctuary the artifact took the four comanions to was a square room built of massive stone worked in daedric style. In the back of the chamber was a low dais, upon which stood a Dremora, clad in full daedric armour. The chamber itself had no exit, no door to enter or to flee. What was worse, there was nothing to hide behind in this room or to use strategically. The only way to ever get out of this prison was through the daedroth in front of the companions.

The Dremora stands initially with his back to the party, but upon their arrival, he swivels quickly to face them. Hard, unforgiving features regard the four adventurers with icy distain as his gauntleted hands curl around the handle of a wicked-looking, crescent-shaped weapon.

" ... This was supposed to be an inviolable sanctuary," he sneers. "But no matter. Welcome, mortals, to my lair, and your tomb. Warm blood shall christen my blade once again - and once you are dead I shall deal with whoever or whatever sent you here ..."

He raises the blade with one hand, making a 'come on!' gesture with his other - right before a ball of flame appears in his free hand and scremas towards the party.

Barely missing the attack herself, Anya grabs Isidor with her left arm, momentarily forgetting it wasn't at it's peak. She yelped in pain as she shoved him out of the way from the dremora for the paralyze to wear off.

Rasing her spear, balancing most of the wieght on her right arm, she readies to face the Dremora as his attention is more focused on Shaka.

Isidor feels his body move, but not the impact. After a moment, he gets up and sees his axe, lying at the feet of an angry Dremora. "[censored] great." he mutters, as he gets to his feet.

Ahjaar's arrow grazes Dregas's head, causing him to growl like a wild beast. He mostly ignores Isidor and Anya for right now, though he mutters "Infernal beast!" at Lotus, who is doing a fair job of distracting him.

"So you're the one who played the doG's latest little game," Dregas sneers to Shaka. "Let's see how well you've learned to use that ..." Shaka may notice though that the Dremora's sneer looks a tad forced, as he weaves an intricate web of Daedric Steel meant to cut the Argonian to ribbons.

"As for the rest of you ..." Dregas unleashes a second fireball spell at Isidor and Anya as he fights Shaka, risking the momentary opening to keep from getting badly flanked.

Isidor jumps out of the way of the fireball, but still gets singed. He takes out his other axe, and makes sure that Lotus is distracting the Dremora. He goes up behind him, and swing his axe, at the Dremora, this blow, sure to make a difference.

Shaka's eyes widened as the crescent blade's paralysis took effect. He still had a will, though, so he called up a storm atronach, which appeared between him and the dremora.

The atronach raised both rocklike arms . . .

Instinctively Anya threw up her spear to block the fireball. The fireball hit her and dissipated over an opique sheild. What the? So Lotus wasn't the only one effected?

Steadying herself after the blow, she charged the Dremora as she saw Isidor swing his axe.

Seeing Shaka incapicitated, Dregas grins wolfishly and brings the crescent up for a killing blow ...

... gets caught by the ice spell ...

... and gets whacked in the forehead by Lotus.

Dregas gets a surprised look on his face, and the crescent drops to the ground, a moment before his own body follows suit.

Grabbing Isidor with her other hand, she puts the blade down and lowers him gently, casting another, smaller spell to fortify Isidor's constitution, help him get back on his feet faster.

"Well struck," she says, giving him a worried grin. "Hang on; you're okay, just tell yourself that, don't give in to the shock ..."

Nalion sighed, in relief that at least this was done and over with, now. They had completed the first stage of what they had to do.

"Very well then, everyone prepare for what will come now. We will go for Imago Storm. Aside from the fact that another daedroth has given us this task, Storm is one whom we cannot allow to walk on Nirn freely."

After all necessary preparations were made, the group set out, to the eastern borders of Daruhn. The cave entrance was quickly found, but approached with care.
Two assassins clad in the already dreadingly familiar seeming black cloth and leather armour stood guard.

Shaka was quieter than usual. He needed some mead, more of it than he was accustomed to permitting himself. Shaka had a duty to the group this night, but after that, he had some thinking to do.

Though it appeared as nothing more than weather-worn stone on the outside, the inside of the cave was instantly recognizable for what it was, Daedric. Its walls were hewn into strange angles that coalesced into a dark tunnel leading off farther into the shadows. Though no enemies could be seen, the whole place pulsed with an ominous aura.
