Elder Scrolls Forums _ Elder Scrolls Lore _ RP: Morrowind Moonlight
Posted by: Loranna Today, 01:31 AM
Hello, and welcome to our Elder Scrolls Role Playing threads,
where we adventure and socialize in the vibrant land of Tamriel.
Before we begin, we'd like to clarify a few things:
This is an 'open roleplay' and everyone is encouraged to join in at any time!
'Open' roleplay does not mean 'unorganized' or 'limitless', however. The events
in this story are usually planned, and if something BIG happens, you can be
certain that it is the result of much discussion between players, usually in
the mIRC chat (#Loranna_RP). This is not just a bunch of disorganized
individuals doing what they think would be fun for their character at the time.
So, while everyone is welcome to join in, they are NOT welcome to jump in and
do big, world-changing things without DISCUSSING IT FIRST. Let me be very clear
about what cannot be done without permission:
1:
Any action that effects another person's character, for ill or good. Although
most people realize they can't harm another person's character without
permission, many don't realize that you can't HELP another character without
permission, either. Many characters have flaws for a reason. Don't go healing,
saving, or otherwise fixing another character without DISCUSSING IT FIRST with
the player involved.
2:
Any event that would drastically change things that have been done to the
world, whether the change is physical (rebuilding destroyed locations),
political (converting a population to a new cause), military (killing off all
the badguys) or anything else. Almost every situation, good or bad, that exists
in the RP was done for some reason. Don't go changing or fixing things without
DISCUSSING IT FIRST with the group.
Everyone who is involved in the RP is welcome in the mIRC chat channel #Loranna_RP.
If you have a plot idea then you are encouraged to go there and discuss it. If
you cannot get on the channel for some reason, or if the player whos character
you would affect with your plan is not there, then PM them using this board's
PM function. That's what it's there for.
For information on reaching #Loranna_RP via Mirc or Chatspike, look
http://www.ravensky.org/irc/.
Not following the above advice will only result in one thing: your post is
likely to be completely ignored by everyone as if it did not happen. This is
obvously not good for anyone, so please, discuss major events before doing
them.
Remember: Secret plans and surprises are seldom fun for anyone else. Before
they're revealed they're boring, because nobody knows about them, and afterwards
they're just annoying, because nobody knew about them.
Thank you, and have fun!

Summary for Loranna:
Loranna is in Ald Raathim, still entertaining the Queen Mother Barenziah and
her grandson Goranthir. She is still considering the Queen's offer of an
alliance, and is sorely tempted to accept - she just wishes to check with a
couple more people who would wish to know of the decision beforehand.
Loranna has also talked with Tris, catching up on recent events and learning
the meaning of Allie's letters to her. She walks now through the castle, her
thoughts turning over what she has just learned.

OOC: Tris Gaerington, a blonde male Breton of 20 years, after an
inconclusive parrapton race with the "guard" Goranthir, learned that
Goranthir is Barenziah's grandson, who plans to ask for admittance into
Loranna's band of adventurers. He learned something of Anya's past at the
archery range. At present he is arranging a political alliance between the New
Tribunal Temple and King Helseth, and... kissing Barenziah.

Summary:
Ahjaar is at the Druken Guar, tlaking to Arynel.
She keeps thinking about the strange dreams she has over and over again.
Posted by: Sheogorath Today, 01:37 AM
Barenziah, Queen Mother of Morrowind, is in the herb garden at
the castle, having received a very generous diplomatic offer from Tris, is
kissing him.
Goranthir, her grandson, son of Queen Morgiah and King Reman of Firsthold, a
16-year-old natural animal speaker and wannabe adventurer, is on the beach.
Her captain of the guards is at an archery competition with Anya.
QUOTE(Xyber02 @ Aug 4 2005, 07:32 PM)
The captain managed to get his arrow off first, Anya saw
out of the corner of her eye fustrating her a bit. He is good, he's captain for
a reason. The breeze caught her too, causing the first arrow to hit the left
pectoral again and the second to hit mid abdomen. By the last shot, she had
compensated for the wind, but it was still off, ending up just below the
throat.
As the targets hit the sides and stopped vibrating, she held her breath to see
the outcome.
It came down to points. The captain's lost arrow cost him the competition, and
his Akaviri pendant.
"Damnation," he frowned. "I wanted those arrows."

QUOTE(Allerleirauh @ Aug 4 2005, 07:34 PM)
Tris kissed her, fighting back the urge to bite her mouth.
"If you knew how I feel right now," he said, "You wouldn't kiss
me in a public place. I have answers for your Majesty's questions, should you
ask them. And I have three questions I would like to ask, on the day that I
decide to risk you killing me."
"We should always have unanswered questions between us," Barenziah
smiled.

"Thank you for the lovely amulet. Here, three's too many for me, you can

her the amulet. "Look at it this way, you do lead an honest and skilled

Arynel smiled, “Would you rephrase that as ‘Is Shaka a

myself I am a friend to whoever needs one.”
The Breton paused to ask the barkeep for a plate of slaughterfish bits, and
then he turned once again to Ahjaar.
“Who are you a friend to?”
"Um... Shaka, I guess." She ate some of her Nix hound meat and chewed
thoughtfully. "It's been so confusing for me for the past few days. All
these differnt things happening at once. And those damned dreams...
Sorry, I've forgotten my manners. My name is Ahjaar, and your's is...?"

OOC Summary
In the last installment, Nalion, a male Breton mage, has disappeared over the
day.
Featuring exclusively now (and as detailed descriptions seem to be 'in' now),
here's a bit more about that guy.
Nalion is a Breton mage of roughly 35 years. He wears his brown hair at a
medium length, his matching brown eyes often look thoughtful. Nalion's figure
is slender and of medium height. He is usually seen wearing a simple unadorned
robe, he never found armour other than his own willpower useful to him. He is a
quiet man and usually plans his next steps, which sometimes leads to the
conclusion that he is reluctant to act, though at the one or other occasion he
has proven that recklessness isn't strange to him. Nalion is compassionate in a
silent and inconspicious way, mostly because of the history of his youth.
Otherwise, he shares the classical attributes of the general Breton, Nalion is
willful and intelligent, intensified by his profession, and has a faible for poetry
and scholarly pursuit.
/Summary
---
Nalion arrived at the castle leaning heavily on his staff and moving slowly. He
seemed to be very exhausted and his steps were staggering and slow. His brow
was furrowed and sweat glistened upon it. Accepting a helpful hand from a guard
at the gate, he motioned the mer to help him walk to his chamber.

He kissed her eyelids, marveling at the architecture of her brow.
"Mine aren't earthshaking questions, just cheeky ones. And they can
wait."
He noticed that at some point he had stopped calling her your Majesty.
He wondered if there was a way to amend that. She would be quick to notice any
trespass, any disrespect. Although she was far enough above him to be tolerant,
as a lioness is tolerant to a tumbling cub.

goes to look for Nalion. Back down by the entrence, perhaps...

Reichi Sari, The male Dunmer former assassin and (current) Werewolf has been
laying about the castle, doing naught of any worth mentioning, yet, that is...
----------
Reichi jolted to wakefulness in the chair he had fell asleep in. He sighed,
standing, placing a ashen hand to his forehead. With a yawn, he stood, and
wandered down the hallways of the castle, eventually wandering out of the
castle and down to the tavern.
Reichi nodded to Ahjaar and Arynel, before heading to the bar and getting
himself a mug of Sujamma. "So what you two up ta?" he asked, walking
over, and taking a sip of Sujamma.

Shaka stood on the battlements not far from Loranna's wing,
narrowing his choice of summoners. There was really only one best choice, but
he was reluctant to ask this of him so soon. Slyvos.
On the other hand, this was no daedra summoning, so perhaps Shaka wasn't asking
the impossible. He made a decision and left word with Loranna's guards.
Whenever Slyvos felt up to it, could he get together with Shaka and Anya to lay
to rest whatever revenant was tormenting the Bosmer.
Shaka found her elfin face in his thoughts for much of the rest of the day. It
had been many years since he had let someone into his heart to this degree.
Shaka thought Ahanassi would have liked Anya; he knew the elf would have loved
Ahanassi.

"You also wanted to speak with Isidor, Loranna?", Nalion asks as he
shifts in the chair to obtain a more comfortable position, then sagged down and
stretched out his weary feet.
"No problem, you would have done the same for me." He winks at
Nalion.
QUOTE(Loranna @ Aug 4 2005, 08:13 PM)
Loranna gives Nalion a quick smile, indicating that she had an
idea at least of his labors.
"I did; Isidor, if I may be honest, you've been making some of us
worried," Loranna says. "Please - if something is troubling
you, tell us now. Your friends are concerned."
"Nothing is troubling me, except what I've already told you. Having the
Queen here makes me feel uneasy. Having those two show offs with her, doesn't
help, in my humble opinion. I somehow think that something will happen. But, my
concerns are not what is important. What happened to Nalion is. What is
troubling you, friend?".

"I keep having this dream about me and a little girl, about 12ish, are
walking on a beach. All of the sudden, from the Island jungle, emerges a
dragon. It blasts fire at us, knoking us down. The dragon then hits me with
it's tail. Just before everything goes black, I see the dragon fade away, and a

Captain Cyndarius Colla stood, yawned, and clapped the shoulder
of his huge orc sergeant. "Well, I'm falling asleep in my chair, so I'm
off to bed," he declaired to the room. The common room was quite full of
soldiers, as it had been late into every evening, recently.
Cyndarius waved a broad hand to the chorus of "goodnights" and left
the crowd of sleepy soldiers. The men of the 103rd Imperial Legion had been
staying up later and later, lately, in an attempt to avoid the nightly
hauntings by old, dead, friends and enemies. The wear was starting to show on
their faces.
Captain Cyndarius, on the other hand, just couldn't resist a room crowded with
conversation. Tonight he'd overdone it a bit, though. His room was at the very
top of the Freetown Barracks tower, and he thought there were more steps to the
spiral staircase than usual.
Halfway up he was hailed by Merey, his old friend and company Lieutenant.
"Wait a [censored] moment, Captain, if you would," he said, with his
usual foulmouthed charm.
Cydarius stopped, yawned again, and waited for the wirey man to catch up with
him.
"I feel like a bloody [censored] catching you on the stairs like this,
Sir, but... well [censored]... I don't want the rest of the company thinking
I'm some kind of [censored] or something."
Cyndarius smiled and stifled another yawn. "Don't worry, Merey. That
secret's safe with me."
"Oh, if you were any wittier, Sir, I'd just have to [censored] your
[censored] [censored] right here. Seriously. I need a word with you... about...
you know... these ghosts."
Cyndarius's look turned a bit more grim. He'd had many reports from his men
about ghosts lately, although he'd not seen a single one, himself.
"It is true, Sir, that you ain't seen [censored] nor [censored] of a
ghost, so far?"
"So far," said Cyndarius.
"Well, you see... it's like this, then. I'm starting to [censored] fall
asleep at my [censored] duties during the day, I'm so bothered by a couple of
these [censored] spooks at night... You truly haven't been bothered,
Sir?"
"Truly," said Cyndarius.
"[censored] figures... Anyway, Sir, that bein' the [censored] case and
all... I was wondering..." Here the man faltered.
"Merey, if you'd like to sleep in my quarters tonight, you're welcome. I
think I can find room for you."
The look on the man's rough face relaxed noticably. "And you won't think
I'm some sort of [censored] [censored]?"
Cyndarius smiled. "Of course not! I don't know what's going on with the
ghost problem, but it's obviously getting serious. And I won't think you're
a... what you said. Now, go get your bedclothes and bring them on up. It's
fine, I promise."
"Thank you Sir," Merey said, hurrying to his own room to gather his
blankets.
Cyndarius watched him go, then headed up the last of the stairs to his room.
A few minutes later, Cyndarius answered Merey's quiet knock on his door, and
opened it wide for the still embarrassed man.
"I think there's some room over there," Cyndarius said as Merey's jaw
fell open in disbelief.
Every inch of floor in the Captain's quarters was covered with blankets and
men. There were three soldiers from fourth squad laid out just inside the door,
and over there was Sergeant Kalm, looking ridiculous in a Dunmer-made robe.
Half of seventh squad seemed to already be asleep by the windows, and the
near-feral Bosmer nicknamed Spooky was curled up on the foot of Cyndarius's own
bed like a cat. A couple of the company's Dunmer parrapton shock troops were
making their evening prayers in the corner, and, taking up far more space than
was fair, the terrifyingly ugly Orc sergeant Gruznob was just smoothing out his
covers by the fireplace.
As Cyndarius closed the door behind the still-staring Merey, he whispered,
grinning widely, "Your secret is safe with me."

She frowns a little, listening to Nalion.
"I'm asking because I know I don't always consider every angle,"

"Not all of House Dres is happy with me as it is, already; I'm strongly
suspicious that our assassins of last week ultimately took their orders from
members in the House. You bring up good points that I'll consider, Nalion
..."
"I'll be open right now; I've met Helseth, I've seen a bit of the dungeons
he keeps, and he's not my favorite person. But I've also met his step
sister, and I know just enough about politics to guess at the upbringing they
must have had. Sadly, finding good, caring people in high positions is a
bit of a rarity."
"Also on my mind is that Lord Minsero, one of the more conservative of
Dres nobles, has recently given his ear to Her Majesty's entreaties. The
House as a whoe, I don't know yet where exactly it stands, but I do know that
accept or reject, I'm still the odd woman out in Dres territory. I'm not
changing my stance on slavery in my domain and that alone is enough to earn me
emnity, even if I were to say no."
"Remeber that I also have met Helseth and seen his dungeons, Loranna.
Honestly, I do not trust Helseth fully, though in the end at Ebonheart, he has
given us his legions to fight the Azurites. To say the truth though, he did not
have much choice then.", Nalion replied to his friend.
"You bring up a good point though. Minsero has an agreement with
Barenziah, it seems. This may be a good sign. Mark me again, I am not the one

Though I hardly call myself a master of anything. It was only recently that I

Reichi snatched the potion, and downed its contents, before
tossing the bottle back to Ahjaar and disappearing under the water. Under the
water he caught sight of multple wrecked ships. The ships from the Blue Dawn
when Azurites had mounted a defense against Ald Raathim. The ships were empty
of anything of value, but still good to explore.
He swum towards and into one, keeping track of how many secounds of
Water-breathing he had left.

Ahjaar drank her potion, then went to explore the nearby reef.
She saw dozens of varietys of colorful fish, swimming around in the clear
waters.
There was a big crack in the ocean rock bed, the crevais went down along ways,
the bottom hidden in darkness. She saw somthing glint in the sun.

While he waited to hear yea or nay from Slyvos, Shaka walked to
a place he had not yet explored in Ald Raathim: an Imperial chapel.
This particular chapel was the smallest he had seen, not even staffed
full-time. Shaka was alone as he sat cross-legged on the wooden floor, facing a
bare altar. It was serene somehow, cool and dark.
What am I trying to accomplish, thought Shaka. I don't even know if Anya wants
to face her demons today. If Slyvos will even agree to it.
I don't even know that anyone's listening here.
He thought for a moment on Barenziah's grandson, who seemed to hold promise in
his lack of pretension. The officers just keep getting younger every year, he
thought with detachment.
He thought of Loranna, with whom he had joked and attempted to flirt, in his
own clumsy way, and fought beside, healed and been healed by. Shaka felt
differently these days about the Lady. As with Vendama, it was best to stop
playing the courtier in the end, and just be oneself. He no longer envied
Slyvos his love, whatever fate held for Shaka.
We're all just scribs in the hive of a billion scribs anyway, he thought. What
matter if that scrib were fulfilled or not? Plenty more where that one came
from.

Ahjaar looked at the thing shining in the crack. It was on a
legde of some sort, about 25 feet down.
She swam down about 13 feet, but had to go back up. The presure was too much.
She tryed again. And again. And again.
Finally she got close enough to see what it was, an Amulet.
She dove down one more time, grabbed the amulet, and swam to the surface as
fast as she could.

Goranthir was in the center of a group of two dozen farmers,
armed with swords they had left over from the Blue Dawn, who in turn were
surrounding six alit. The beasts were staring dumbly at the peasants, their
mouths opening and closing as if tasting the air.
"They’re been preying on our guar," one of the peasants snarled.
"I told them they mustn’t do that," Goranthir said calmly. "They
don’t like the flavor. They’d rather be in the woods, eating scribs, but
they’ve been chased out by all the Nords who are settling that area."
"Blaming the Nords, are you?"
"No, no, not at all, there’s room for all," Goranthir shook his head.
"Here’s what I suggest --"
"Here’s what I suggest -- !" cried the peasant, lunging at the
nearest Alit with his sword.
Goranthir began the long walk back up the castle, spattered in blood. The Alit
had not even fought back. They had trusted him.

Ahjaar swam the shore, then looked at the amulet more closely.
The amulet was a medium sized, made of silver.
It was a circle, with a beatiful design on the front.
Six deer were fleeing up the sides of the amulet, chased by a wolf at the
bottom. In the center was a raven, wings spread in flight, a small blue soul
gem in its beak. The gem plused with a blue light.
She slipped the silver chain around her neck and dressed, then she sat on a
rock, examining the amulet with great interest.

He took off his tunic and scrubbed at in the water. The blood bloomed up in the
water like a flower. When he was satisfied that it was white again, he trudged
back up to the beach and laid it out on a rock to dry.
Barechested, he stood on the beach, waiting, and finally deciding it was
ridiculous to pretend there was no one else there, he approached Ahjaar.
'Hello again,' he said. 'What do you have there?'

She mumbled a few words, casting a detect enchantment spell.
To her great surprise, the amulet sucked up the spell like a sponge.

She set the amulet on the rock, backed away, and blasted a fireball at it. The

"This amulet is very old midear, very old."
She pulled out a musty old book from the shelf and flipped through it.
After several long mintutes, she stopped at a page with a drawing of the same
exact amulet. The woman skimed the text, then looked up at Ahjaar with
surprise.
"That, mideary, is not just any old amulet. It is the Amulet of
Shamakand!"
She read some more of the text then looked up back at Ahjaar.
"This amulet was forgded long ago, when mortals were first using Magic. The
amulet has the ability to suck up all spells cast at the wearer, giving more
Magicka to the wearer! This is a very powerful and vauluble artifct, midear,
and If I were you, I would get rid of it! Once people know you have it, they
will want it!"
She pushed the amulet over to Ahjaar. "Good luck to you, mideary."

Captain Balryn began another tale about defending a point from
Azurites and their Winged Twilights. The odds were a little astounding,
certianly not in his squad's favor. Anya tried to listen, as she was enjoying

"Good morning Uncle." Anya seemed chipper.
"How's the little girl today?" He teased.
"You know I'm no-" A shriek cut her reply short. Her and the Imperial
ran outside. Standing on the ridge were several people, surrounded by
twilights. The children they had saved quickly became surround, her older
brother with them. The rest became the same tired, but horrifying blur of
memory.
She took her spear and fended off the ones surrounding her but became disarmed.
Vondicus leaping into the fray, saving her again. The pain when a twilight
raked her face and caused three deep gashes in her shoulder. Watching the fatal
blow as Vondicus tried to protect the others, her brother's death.
She felt helpless again. Huddled in the shed. She was just a little girl.
Aside from the occasional dart of her eyes, the only thing that betrayed her
emotions on her passive face was a single, small tear that rolled down her
cheek across her cherry tattoo on her face.

She looked through the selection of long bows, and finnaly selected a Bonemold

Nalion's eyes tightened fo a moment, as if thinking whether he should ask
something or not, then the mage took a breath.
"But... if you'd have a moment for me, Tris? In private?" Nalion shot
a questioning glance at his friend, then motioned to a less frequented corner

"Of course I have time."
"Yes, we can go there.", Nalion invited Tris. They entered Nalion's
chamber and he shut the door behind him. The chamber was occupied by the mage's
bed and the rest of the amenities that would be expected by a chamber in a
castle like the one in Ald Raathim, but the dominant item in the room was
Nalion's table where books and parchments lay about seemingly without order.
Taking out two bottles of mead, he offered Tris one and opened the other for
himself. "Sorry, I've got no good vintage for you."
After taking a sip, the Breton began to speak.
"You said you carried messages between here and ... there for
Allerleirauh. I just wanted to tell you that I tried to get her task for me
moving. But... there's another thing..."
Nalion looked doubtful and most of all insecure as he leaned on a wall. His
gaze intently examined the patterns of the wooden floor.

Nalion's expression obviously showed that Tris' answer was not sufficient, of
course, but the Breton knew that this was surely not his friend's fault. He nodded
slowly, clinging to the thought that Doll was safe.
As he looked at Tris again, his eyes filled with gratitude.
"I'm feeling more and more on edge, both with what may happen and with

The wrecks of the Azurites ships held few surprises, most had
been stripped long ago, but Reichi still explored them. There were peices of
armor, lain out as if they had once had a occupant, but were empty now. Even
the corpses of the Azurites had been whiped from existance by Eidolon. Reichi
swam on, looking at some wreck with mild awe. The hulls only vaguely
recognizable as ship hulls instead of planks of wood. Having had been decimated
by catapulted bags of Thu'um. Others ravaged by Solin's magicka. Reichi felt a momentary
pang of regret he hadn't been around for the battle of Ald Raathim, having been
retrieving the Flamekiss gem in the Vaults of Gemin. The vaults had
been....interesting however. Particulary when Reichi had gotten to fight a
double of himself, and Teleran, and Nalion. That had been amusing.
Reichi surfaced, his water breathing potion had wore off. He sw am to the shore
and shook off like a dog before dressing himself.

Unfortunate as she had wanted to ask him some things but the Breton had been

The castle was still buzzing; Loranna had heard several things of interest from
her servants. Nothing definite, but she at least had some idea of what was
going on in her castle. She wondered with a brief grin how much more the Queen
might know about those same goings on.
Hearing a knock, Loranna gets up and opens the door. "Ahjaar, hello; what

"I'll be honest; I don't know any spell that directly restores lost
memories, Ahjaar. The best I can do, which I will do, is to cast a Restore
Intelligence spell on you, hope that maybe that will help. Here, sit down, make
yourself comfortable."
Loranna calls for a pot of tea to be brought up. "One of Razbiah's herbal
teas; it's very good for helping one's nerves," she explains, pouring
Ahjaar a cup. "Have some, let yourself relax while I weave my magic; I've
found this to help me when I'm trying to sort things together in my head."
May this worshipper of Dibella help mend the broken vessel that is your

She smiles reassuringly, then begins to chant, blue light emenating from her

Ahjaar nodded. "It was Hankarlic, he... he's a sorcerus.
He's skilled in the school of Illsions. He made an Illusion of a dragon, the
dragon knocked me uncouncious, then he took Luxi. He's a slaver... He pobrably
enslaved her...
"His group stays in a mine, if I can remeber correctly.. An ebony mine...
He's a smugglar.
"My husband used to work for them... His name was Bartimeous.. he left the
group, but Hankarlic, afraid he would reveal the smuggler's ring, had him
killed...."
Radont listened, his lips curling into a slight snarl and he thightened his
grip on the Akaviri blade on his hip. He hated slavers, the only thing he hated
more were slavers that used children.

"So, we are to go and find your daughter, and kill the
slavers? Very well." he fastens his cloak, and looks to the door.
Goranthir smiled when he saw Tris, and still holding his arms crossed over his
chest to block the blood stains, asked, "How many slavers are there, do we
know?"

Falco took the story in silence. Though he didn't mention it
Falco had actually met many of the members of this smuggling ring in his days
as a bandit in Dagon Fel. He remebered them being extremely cruel, even for
slavers.

Ahjaar shook her head. "No, I don't know. I do Hankarlic is a big in the
smuggling world, so he's bound to have at the least 30 men or so.."

"The men shouldn't be a problem," Tris said. "I'm more concerned
about the slaves being hurt if we try something, and about the fact that she
might no longer be with them."

"You know them?" Goranthir asked. "What are their capabilities?
Are they warriors all, or mages as well? Any other allies we should know
about?"

Reichi noddedat Tris. "Slavers, bandits, and all manner of
outlaws tend to be on average pretty badly trained, and with this group, a
fight would be more appropriatly labeled "slaughter" than a
fight," he said with a grin. "The problem is that they have
prisoners."
"A Subtle, stealthy approach is needed. Or Diplomacy."

They're working out of an ebony mine, so we can assume they have ebony
weapons."

Falco turned to him. "A few mages, but mostly warriors and thieves, all
fairly Strong. I never met their leader I can't say anything about him. They're
stink'in cowards they only fight when they outnumber their opponents. Theya are
rather ill-equiped, Using an ill-assortment of knives, clubs, daggers, swords,

"They may have ebony from the mine but unless they have a talented smith
they're not producing ebony weapons," Loranna says. "It doesn't
preclude them from having good gear from their illegal wealth though."
She frowns, looking over her companions and thinking over what potions she has
readily available, or can brew up before people leave.

"Agreed; this sounds like a fairly big operation, not just a small group
of desperate bandits," Loranna says. "Doubtless Luxi is not the only
one who needs to be rescued."
"I'll arrange passage for everyone who wishes to go on this rescue
mission, and provide provisions and potions for you all," Loranna
promises. "It's the least I can do; if anyone who wants to go feels they
need some extra supplies they can't afford, speak with me now, I'll see what I
can do. No need to go off unprepared, even if I know most of you as stalwart
adventurers."
