Hello, and welcome to our Elder Scrolls Role Playing threads,
where we adventure and socialize in the vibrant
Before we begin, we'd like to clarify a few things:
This is an 'open roleplay' and everyone is encouraged to join in at any time!
'Open' roleplay does not mean 'unorganized' or 'limitless', however. The events
in this story are usually planned, and if something BIG happens, you can be
certain that it is the result of much discussion between players, usually in
the mIRC chat (#Loranna_RP). This is not just a bunch of disorganized
individuals doing what they think would be fun for their character at the time.
So, while everyone is welcome to join in, they are NOT welcome to jump in and
do big, world-changing things without DISCUSSING IT FIRST. Let me be very clear
about what cannot be done without permission:
1:
Any action that effects another person's character, for ill or good. Although
most people realize they can't harm another person's character without
permission, many don't realize that you can't HELP another character without
permission, either. Many characters have flaws for a reason. Don't go healing,
saving, or otherwise fixing another character without DISCUSSING IT FIRST with the
player involved.
2:
Any event that would drastically change things that have been done to the
world, whether the change is physical (rebuilding destroyed locations),
political (converting a population to a new cause), military (killing off all
the badguys) or anything else. Almost every situation, good or bad, that exists
in the RP was done for some reason. Don't go changing or fixing things without
DISCUSSING IT FIRST with the group.
Everyone who is involved in the RP is welcome in the mIRC chat channel
#Loranna_RP. If you have a plot idea then you are encouraged to go there and
discuss it. If you cannot get on the channel for some reason, or if the player
whos character you would affect with your plan is not there, then PM them using
this board's PM function. That's what it's there for.
For information on reaching #Loranna_RP via Mirc or Chatspike, look
http://www.ravensky.org/irc/.
Not following the above advice will only result in one thing: your post is
likely to be completely ignored by everyone as if it did not happen. This is
obvously not good for anyone, so please, discuss major events before doing
them.
Remember: Secret plans and surprises are seldom fun for anyone else. Before
they're revealed they're boring, because nobody knows about them, and
afterwards they're just annoying, because nobody knew about them.
Thank you, and have fun!

She looks over and adds "Oh and that Tris fellow - he's the worst. He'll

Off he goes to get into trouble, just because. Terrible, terrible I tell
you."

Anya was grateful when the servant arrived and told her Loranna
requested help, though it sounded like plenty had already gathered, and she
wasn't in the best of shape to go adventuring. She just wanted to go out and
collect her thoughts, the nightmares bearing down on her again.
Standing up, Anya gave the captain a kiss on the cheek, "It was nice to
meet you, and to see such fine archery. Your tales were interesting to hear
too, despite your modest story-telling. I need to go though, I hope we can sit
down again before you leave with your Queen."
Picking up her armor from the smith, and leaving a generous sum of coins, she
equipped her now matte black and green Glass Curaiss. Much better for
avoiding detection.
She picked a direction, and began walking. Her path taking her into the woods.
Lotus appeared a moment later when she entered the tree line. "Oh dear, I
forgot I didn't release you, though I suppose you didn't mind the exersice.
Tell me, what could she have meant, I never left anyone, why would she say
that?"
She continued down the woods confused and scared, her face still passive,
grateful for her silent company.

"You're welcome dear - but please, don't keep kneeling like
that to me," Loranna says, grinning. "You'll give me most evil ideas
and Slyvos is still recovering."
"Whih reminds me, I need to speak with my fiance ..." she says.
"But first things first. Godspeed dears; I'll await your return."
"Thank you, and I won't do it anymore," Goranthir grinned, getting
back to his feet. "It's sort of how we do everything in Firsthold. I'll
bring you something back from Dagon Fel!"
QUOTE(Allerleirauh @ Aug 5 2005, 05:42 PM)
Loranna had the business of hiring the boat to take care
of; and Goranthir had his grandmother to visit. Outside Loranna's room,
Tris said to him, "I had this lecture ready for you, this long one about
recklessness. But you've heard it before, I realized. So let me just say this:
when you risk your life with a group of people, you may get someone killed.
I've sworn to protect you; you could get me killed. I'm fast, but
not invulnerable. Remember that."
He ruffled the red-gold hair. "See you on the boat."
"Thank you, I'll never forget that you gave me this chance,"
Goranthir smiled, and embarrassed, realized that he needed to wipe a tear from
his eye. He did so quickly and then ran off down the corridor. "I'll see
you at the ship!"

Ahjaar sat on the deck, watching the waves slap the boat,
waiting for the others to bored. Thoughts plagued her mind, mostly bad.
What if Luxi was sold?
What if we can't find the group?
What if Luxi is-
No, she didn't dare think that.
She fiddled with an arrow, rolling it in her palms, trying to not think
about Luxi. She closed her eyes and cryed.
She just wanted her daughter back.

and potions for restoring health, restoring magicka, restoring fatigue, curing
poison and disease, making yourself hard to see, and one bottle of Telvanni Bug

"Too bad you ain't going to Suran," the captain winks. "We cast

As, he was sure, did Isidor. Falco walked onto the docks.

Loranna listens to Dram's report. "They were a little outraged at having
to pay up over a 'snippity newcomer with less sense than the damn alits he was
trying to keep alive', and they grumbled a lot about food being taken off their
tables, but the ranchers have been made to understand the error of their ways,
my Lady. They paid their fines and the situation is resolved." He
hesitates a moment. "I understand the young man can speak to animals

"Yes, he can," Loranna says, reading Dram's expression. "He's
here to be an adventurer, not a guard, though."
Dram nods. "A pity; we could use some more people with wilderness skills.
The ranchers say the alits have been giving them trouble for a little bit now
..."
"We're working on it, trust me dear," Loranna says. "Thank you
for your prompt work, Dram."
Dram bows lightly. "My job, my Lady; that is all for now to report."
"Very well; return to your duties, dear." Dram bows and leaves, as
Loranna scratches her chin. Thom had left for a while; she wondered who else

Ald Raathim, the previous night
Nalion had slept long and took his time to rest and think. Many thoughts raced
through his head, about Doll, his task, his friends here and in Solunastra and
... wherever.
Now though while walking through the castles towards the tower where Loranna's
study was located, he focused on the task ahead.
The Breton climbed the stairs of the tower and past Loranna's study. As he
arrived at the top, he sqeezed though a small trap door leading outside. Moving
towards a merlon, he placed his hands firmly onto the cold stone. It was a cold
night and the castle was quiet. The guards dutifully patrolled on the
battlements below.
Nalion looked skywards. It was a clear night and the stars sparkled like gems
on a black velvet dress. On closer investigation though, as if a woman would
hold that dress against the light streaming though a window, one would find
that this dress was in truth ragged, with holes all over it through which
bright daylight shined. A dress called Oblivion.
Nalion deeply breathed in the fresh cool air and began to patiently watch the
sky. He knew not what he was looking for, but he would know when he saw it.

"You're right; a few sweet words won't erase it all, and maybe for
Morrowind the Houses should continue to exist - we live in the Arena, after

"And, to be honest - Dunmer traditionalists, espeically in my own House,
won't see me as much of an ally anyway," she says. "I'm not an

complaint with the Dunmer traditions, and slaves who seek asylum here will

Summary: From Part 10-
Rymlin looked around as the guards got to work carting off the corpses of the
vampires. He watched silently as Loranna and her brigade left the forest,
returning to the warmth of their respective homes. As the last bodies faded
from view, Rymlin cast a spell of detect enchantment and began his search.
Feeling around mentally, Rymlin came across a small item hidden under some
brush. Picking it up, he gazed at it in a ray of moonlight. "There you
are, I was hoping they would drop this." said Rymlin, tucking the amulet
into his robe. He continued to search through the forest for small trinkets and
weapons dropped during the struggle.
---Some Time Later---
Rymlin walked into town, and seeing how all the lights were off, decided to let
himself into his room. He lit a lamp on the desk with a small spell, and set
out his collection on the bed. Sorting out an enchanted dagger, two swords, a
nearly full quiver of arrows, and several amulets and rings, Rymlin smiled to
himself. "This should fetch a few drakes." he said, piling the
weapons in a corner and placing the jewelry in his desk. "I'd best get
some rest" said Rymlin, snuffing out the lamp and undressing himself.
---Next Day---
Rymlin walked over to the clothing shop he found the previous day, and sold off
all his goods. counting out the gold from his sales on his desk. "1, 2, 3,
4, 5-thousand drakes." said Rymlin, placing the coin in his purse.
"This should last for a bit." said Rymlin, tieing the purse to his
belt. Rymlin walked out of his room, and sat down at the bar. "A glass of
Flin" said Rymlin, feeling quite satisfied with himself.
---Several Days Later---
Rymlin woke up and prepared to set out to the Mage's Guild like usual. He
donned his now-uniform black robes, and equipped himself with several rings and
amulets. Placing an old daedric dagger in his belt, he left the in and began
his way to the guild. Looking over to the port, he noticed Isidor climbing onto
a boat at sea. "He's got more profit to him than this guild, I think I'll
see what he's up to." said Rymlin, feeling in his pocket for the amulet he
picked up from the forest. "Yes, I think I'll follow him." Rymlin
boarded the ship, payed the boatman and det on his way to Dagon Fel.
---The Next Day---
Rymlin arrived at Dagon Fel, and decided to follow the group to find the
enslaved girl.
OOC: For the sake of expedience, we'll say he's with everyone now.

She pauses a moment. "I get the feeling I'm being more open than I ought
to be; I really ought to learn to avoid that," she says. "I would
like to think that you, the New Temple, and I could work together; I think I'd
be doing my House the greatest service by helping to turn Ald Raathim into a
strong city, allied with the throne."
"She watches Barenziah's hair flutter in the wind for a moment, seemingly
entranced.
" ... Is this enough to declare ourselves allies then, Your Majesty? Or
should we both wait until we know where you stand with the New Temple?"
she asks.

Rymlin looks around, and picks up a small rock. Muttering the words of dispel,
the rocks glows and changes into an amulet. "Amateurs..." says
Rymlin, crushing the necklace in his hand. "I'm surprised they even
bothered to conceal it." Rymlin picks up a stick from the ground. He says
some words, and the stick begins to emit a bright light. "That should
help" he says, following the others into the cave.

As the group entered, the vines moved, and inside, the ring of a bell can be
heard. A loud ring.
However, the ones who were first to enter could get a good glance at the scene.
The mine had a convenient access to the sea on the right side, a half-natural,
half mer-made tunnel lead northwards and out into the ocean. A wooden walkway
led to a longboat of nordic fabrication. Ath the back of the mine was what
seemed like a small hidden warehouse. Many crates were stacked upon each other,
some seemed to be ready for shipment and being loaded onto the longboat by
several ragged, but well armed men and mer.
To the left, several galleries led into the mine. Faint light could be seen
glimmering in the depths. Cries and moans hollowly echoed from the tunnels,
only broken by the hideous sounds of cracking whips. One needed no great
imagination of what was going on down there, especially when regarding the iron
cages at the entrance to the galleries.
A commanding dark figure overviewed the whole proceedings, shouting orders in a
harsh voice. His red eyes gleamed eerily in the dim light of the mine. He was
clad in dark armour, obviously made of the material that was being mined here:
ebony. At his side hung a ebony long blade.
As the bell rang, though the armed men stopped working turned and looked at
them, hands on the hilts of their half-drawn weapons. Some smugglers on guard
duty even had crossbows and the bolts were pointing directly at the companions.
"Hankarlic! Intruders!", one of the guards shouted. The man in the
armour responded and quickly turned around to see where the guard was pointing
at. His hard Dunmeri features were distorted into an angry snarl.

As powerful as an invisibility spell was, it offered no protection to one in
the path of a thrown weapon, whatever the target of the thrower. So it was that
one of the throwing knives was headed towards Arynel, but was off side, and the

Falco hurried down the tunnels, the sounds of battle emenating
from upstairs. An orcish bandit was running up from the mine's depths to join
the fight a flick Falco's saber stopped that froom happening. Falco continued
running until he saw entered a large chamber. An enormously fat Dunmer man with
wip in hand was slashing at several dozen slaves, all chained together by their
wrists.
"Work ye lazy filth! [the wip cracked] I said work!"
Falco charged him. The Dunmer man turned and screamed. Like all slavers he was
a coward and when he saw someone ith a weapon in hand he ran for his life.
Falco's blade slashing behind him. Twas not long before Falco caught up with
the man. He fell to the ground cowering in fear of the argonian.
"Please don't hurt me, please!"
Falco raised his saber to cleave the man in two. He was prepared to kill this
filth, but he knew it wrong to take a defenseless life. He backhanded the man.
"Where are the keys to the slave chains? Where!?"
The Dunmer man pulled a ring of keys from his belt. Falco looked to his right.
The slaves had followed them there. They stood unblinking, at th defenseless
Mer.
"I am Falco Reflash, I have come to save you. I must now rejoin the battle
upstairs, but fear not for I shall shortly return. But first..."
He unlocked them all from the chains that held hem all together at their wrists
and ankles with the slave key. He then tied the Dunmer man up with the chains
and handed one of the slaves his wip.
"Do to this evil creature what he has done to you..."
Falco turned and ran back up the stairs, listening to the tormented screams of
the slavedriver as the slaves took turns kicking, biting, scratching, and
whiping him.

A reply in the form of an arrow was returned, narrowly missing Arynel and

Speed was one thing Tris did not have a problem with. He jumped,
high. One of the nice things about jumping while magically enhanced was that
you stayed up a good long time, as if gravity had forgotten about you. He thought
about landing on Hankarlic's back, but that was Mirea's trick. Instead he fired
a spell down on him, a lightning bolt, this time.
The shimmering figure of Hankarlic did flinch only slightly as the lightning
spell hit him, instead, the hidden Hankarlic quickly calculated where Tris
would probably land and flung an illusion spell at that point.
However, he did not bother to move against Tris, but headed straight towards
Ahjaar, snarling audibly.
"Now I have you, s'wit!", he grunted as he put his blade at her
throat...

Seeing everyone leaving the wooden planks, Ash unleashes his
spell, and an unholy fire bursts out around him, covering his flesh, and moving
rapidly outwards. As his persuers move to run, they are devoured by the flame,
and their skin is quickly charred. By now, Ash has fallen into the water below
him, his skin continuing to smoke even under the water. Asleep for a short
time, the blisters covering his body quickly heal, and he awakens. Looking up
from the surface of the pool, Ash makes his way to the nearest charred ladder,
and pulls his weary body onto the ledge. Drinking a few potions to restore his
health and magicka, Ash looks down to see his body is no longer glowing.
"Thank you for your strength. I hope I have served you well." he
said, looking behind him to make sure he was clear of more guards.

Goranthir's dai-katana finds its mark; Blade was surprised to
