Well, it's been a while since we've had a
Reflections thread YAY! We did it!
I'll start off with our usual blurb, for some attempt at consistancy:
===
Hello, and welcome to our Elder Scrolls Role Playing
threads, where we adventure and socialize in the vibrant land of Tamriel.
Before we begin, we'd like to clarify a few things:
This is an 'open roleplay' and everyone is encouraged to join in at any time!
'Open' roleplay does not mean 'unorganized' or 'limitless', however. The events
in this story are usually planned, and if something BIG happens, you can be
certain that it is the result of much discussion between players, usually in
the mIRC chat (#Loranna_RP). This is not just a bunch of disorganized individuals
doing what they think would be fun for their character at the time.
So, while everyone is welcome to join in, they are NOT welcome to jump in and
do big, world-changing things without DISCUSSING IT FIRST. Let me be very clear
about what cannot be done without permission:
1:
Any action that effects another person's character, for ill or good. Although
most people realize they can't harm another person's character without
permission, many don't realize that you can't HELP another character without
permission, either. Many characters have flaws for a reason. Don't go healing,
saving, or otherwise fixing another character without DISCUSSING IT FIRST with
the player involved.
2:
Any event that would drastically change things that have been done to the
world, whether the change is physical (rebuilding destroyed locations),
political (converting a population to a new cause), military (killing off all
the badguys) or anything else. Almost every situation, good or bad, that exists
in the RP was done for some reason. Don't go changing or fixing things without
DISCUSSING IT FIRST with the group.
Everyone who is involved in the RP is welcome in the mIRC chat channel
#Loranna_RP. If you have a plot idea then you are encouraged to go there and
discuss it. If you cannot get on the channel for some reason, or if the player
whos character you would affect with your plan is not there, then PM them using
this board's PM function. That's what it's there for.
For information on reaching #Loranna_RP via Mirc or Chatspike, look
http://www.ravensky.org/irc/.
Not following the above advice will only result in one thing: your post is
likely to be completely ignored by everyone as if it did not happen. This is
obvously not good for anyone, so please, discuss major events before doing
them.
Remember: Secret plans and surprises are seldom fun for anyone else. Before
they're revealed they're boring, because nobody knows about them, and
afterwards they're just annoying, because nobody knew about them.
Thank you, and have fun!
===
Summary of the current state of things:
The world has been restored; the Azurites, once more, are no more, as they
should have been. The Emperor is safe, and grateful for the heroic efforts of
those who fought to save his life, and those of the valiant warriors who
traversed the Nine Spheres to help set the world to rights.
The heroes are now back at Ald Raathim, where a celebration is to be held for
them. While preperations are being made, many people are resting in the tavern
The Drunken Guar.
People, feel free to conitnue playing; props to everyone who participated in
Morrowind Moonlight for helping make our biggest RP thread yet. This one was a
blast.

QUOTE(Allerleirauh @ Sep 1 2005, 07:00 PM)
"A moral compass isn't something you either have or don't have," Tris said. "Dom, my old lover, was proof of that. He was a cold-blooded murderer, who donated his entire income to the support of the temple. Falco is a thief, but he cares about an abandoned child... "
"I'm a little upset that Falco went and tried to steal from someone under
my roof after I asked him not to - especially after everything we've all been
through," Loranna says, looking back and forth between people. "He
just lost an eye in battle, he proved his valor with the rest of us - and then
he turns around and steals from his friends?"
"As a girl who spent a lot of time without either of her parents around,
though, I can relate to someone who was themselves abandoned wanting to help an
abandoned child - and when Plaas first met us, I recall, Falco mentioned he had
been abandoned in his own youth."
She was frowning; the good mood the morning had started off with was rapidly
fading ..

"That doesn't matter," Goranthir said cooly. "A murderer should
be punished, despite noble aspects of other parts of his life. So, for that
matter, should a thief, particularly one who has been forgiven multiple times,
despite being correct in an argument or two. I could see Loranna forgiving
Falco because of his sacrifices during the recent battles, but forgiveness
cannot last indefinitely."

I just think Isidor is a [censored] too. Don't challenge him to a friggen' DUEL

has a sly smirk on his face in an argument with Isidor.
"Don't lecture ME on morality Isidor... I know I'm not the perfect example
of it.... but I won't let you ruin a life by not going for Skyrim. I distinctly
remember you having second thoughs of going there because you 'loved someone
else' or something to that extent. As long as I'm here I won't let another
child be abandoned by his father and grow up... like me."

Fel when Isidor joined. Prison would kill his spirit; he's already had a decade
of it. And don't talk [censored]e about how we'd be glad to see you dead,

"Falco, you're partly to blame too. Whatever happens, no more stealing

"Maybe it would be better to have a duel and get it out of your systems.
But it ends here."

"Falco, quit throwing around words like 'coward'. Both of you have proven
yourselves enough times in the past, when the chips were down."
"But something occurs to me, and probably some of the rest of you. Why
didn't the girl go with Isidor into exile? Did her relatives keep her a total

Shaka squeezed Anya's hand. Sorry that the morning had to turn into this, my

"It's wrong," Tris said, shaking his head. "Dom used to kill one
man a day, before he sat down to dinner. None of those men deserved to die,
they had no idea what they were facing, and no god helped them defeat the
greatest swordsman in High Rock. Honor is a stupid, stupid thing... if what you
mean by it is personal pride."
He turned to Isidor. "This is none of my business, and I've been trying to
stay out of it... but if it were my lover, and my child... I would never have
left. I would have found a way to sneak back and get her. They would have had
to kill me to get me to stop trying."

Thin-lipped, Loranna mutters a reply to Goran
that doesn't quite catch his ears ...

Dram and his guards bring Falco and Isidor to the jail, where Loranna
pronounces sentence upon Falco:
"For stealing in my domain, even after having been granted a reprieve for
a first offense, you are hereby banished from these lands, never to return
under pain of death. Your pay up till now is reclaimed, any stolen items you
have in your possession are reclaimed."
Having pronounced sentence, Loranna has Dram go through Falco's room, after
searching the Argonain thoroughly. The one-eyed rogue is left with the short on
his back, and a couple day's rations, and is escorted to Ald Raathim's borders
by Dram and his elite guards - who make Falco march at a rather brusque pace.
Once Dram returns, Loranna sighs once, and says "Right; there were things
we meant to do today, no?"

Vaan didn't know what to do...
After a small amount of logical thought, (and some directions from one of the
Castle servants) Vaan headed to the docks, hoping to meet the so far Elusive
Lady Loranna.
He unclipped his Sword from his belt, in order to use it as a makeshift Walking
stick. Of course, he didnt need it, but he thought it looked better.

I hope that you Agree to a further meeting at the wedding, It is quite
important to my concience. What do you say?"

Vaan Paused, smiled, and continued "I am Lord Vaan Surethi of..." He

Isidor addressed Goranthir "I'm sorry
for runing your christening, I'm not feeling too great." He smiled around at
the group and made his way back to the tavern. He ordered a mead, and sat at a
back table. Kethiah he thought Where are you when I need you?.

Loranna's expression shows shr understands what he means.
What, exactly, do you say to someone in Vaan's position? "I'm Sorry"
doesn't even begin to address the matter, and is almost outright insulting.
"We will talk more at the wedding, if that's what you wish, serjo,"
Loranna says, a sad smile on her face.

A good sized crowd had gathered at the dock. Fishermen going about their work,
but curious at the sight. Villagers with no other entertainment. A large crew
of Nords that Goranthir had hired. A beautiful day of blue skies and white
clouds.
Ryllil closed his eyes and raised his hands. The seabirds took to flight as
they sensed the surge of energy falling on the harbor before it was visually
apparently. A golden light rose between the old Altmer, Goranthir, and the
ship, which then passed through each person in the crowd. It was a gentle
touch, like a kiss.
He began to chant in Aldmeris, and Goranthir began singing along as well. He
knew these christening ceremonies well, though this was his first boat.
“To what ancestral spirit do you dedicate this craft?” Ryllil asked in song.
“Onialle,” Goranthir sang back.
Witnesses would swear that they saw, for a brief moment, the shining golden
image of a young girl, Goranthir’s cousin, appear on the deck of the ship. It
was just an instant, a blink of the eye, and she was gone.
“Introduce Akarvina to the spirits of the water so they will know and welcome
her,” said Ryllil, climbing on board. Goranthir followed, together with the
crew. He called back to the crowd. “Friends, all aboard if you wish. We’ll just
be gone for an hour or two.”

Three flags: House Dres, the Royal Flag of Morrowind, and the Royal Flag of

The ship went fast, very fast. It was like riding a giant. The forecastle was

Sprayed by wind, sun, and water, the group spent an hour and a half flying

It was a perfect day for sailing. Auspicious.
Once, not too very long ago, Tris's father had planned to buy him a ship, to

Shaka stood in the rigging of the ship, a little thoughtful despite the perfect
day and old friends. I'm sorry, Falco, he thought, even if you had free will,
like all of us. Sometimes it seemed as if the brash Argonian rogue had been
adventuring with them for longer than the less than half-year it had in fact
been.
He glanced down at Loranna and Tris. Shaka understood that along with Loranna's
power came responsibility for the lives of her people.
Her yoke is light upon us, he thought to himself.
Shaka looked at the grumbling Anya and smiled. He vaulted off the rigging and
invoked Slowfall, landing lightly near Anya.
"Not your element, is it, Anya. Nor mine, really." But as he stood at
the rail, his smile didn't leave.
Maybe we'll see Falco again, he thought, either at the wedding or in some other
province. For now, there was a fair wind and a young prince whom Shaka and all
sensed was destined for something.

A dream under the Azure Sky
Memories... memories of the Moonlight, yet under this azure sky, thats all I
can think about... memories
Drevious put down his Daikatana as Maranda looked to the blue sky
"Your block is poor, lets try again" Drevious said
"If you did not hit so hard..." Maranda said
"Yet any foe will fight you with all youve got, so I cant go easy on
you" Drevious replied, casting a heal all ailments on Maranda and offering
his hand to pull her off the ground, Maranda blushed, and pushed herself off
the ground, "Drevious, can I ask you a question?"
"Certianly, what?"
"Why are you here, and more importantly HOW are you here?"
"The why is not for you to know, dear Maranda, the how I can tell you. I
am here by a pact with a Mortal, and I can not leave intill the terms of that
pact are resolved"
"Then why are you here with me then?" she asked
"Because you are a part of the Pact, dear Maranda" he said quietly
"Then dont go easy on me this time," she said, readying her sword
"Oh, I wont..." he sheathed his Daikatana, and whispered an
incratation, as the mist that had been setting that evening slowly formed into
a narrow bladed sword as Maranda Charged Again
Posted by: Shardie Sep 2 2005, 07:31 AM
"Where do you think your going?" Maranda said to the retreating
figure, an Iron broadsword in her hand, her robes tattered. The figure in the
black robe turned and threw the body of a dead cat to Maranda's feet,
"What will you do about this?" he said in a croaky voice, turning to
face Maranda, his face concealed by the darkness of the hood covering his face
"I'll kill you, thats what I'll do!" she said, charging towards the
figure. She could have sworn she saw a smile, as he raised his gloved hand, and
with a massive force, she was thrown from her feet, thrown almost twenty feet.
Barely contious she looked at the man, walking away into the distance, 'I want
to be stronger" she said, crying, "I want to be stronger so I can
beat him"
"I can help you become stronger" a voice said, almost in her minds
eye
"Then please, help me get stronger" Maranda pleaded, she could feel
her insides bleeding, she had no potions left. A small girl walked in front of
her, deep blue ageless eyes, long brown hair, the most beautiful face, dressed
in robes of Blue and White, "If you stay here, you will die. Do you want
that?" the girl said
"No"
"Do you want to be stronger?"
"Yes"
"Then give yourself to me, and you will become stronger"
"Yes" she muttered, with her seemingly last breath
Maranda opened her eyes and looked at the Azure sky
"You dont have to hit so hard!" She yelled at Drevious, it was like
his blade passed right through Maranda's Parry... but she remembered somthing
she would never forget, the day her life changed.
why do I remember these things? Why here? Why now?

Summary for Nalion
Nalion, a male Breton mage has returned from Cyrodiil after the world has been
restored and the Emperor was saved. He's recently spoken with Doll, a girl with
whom he has fallen in love, but the conversation ended with Doll leaving with a
troubled look on her face.
Nalion isn't particularly in a celebratory mood and he has retreated to
someplace to think. He still intends to go to the wedding of Lyssia and Landon
in Daggerfall, though.

A dream under the full Moon
Darkness... it was the colour that always reminded of her. Yes, laying here
under the full moon, she could remember her so vividly so clearly that day...
Lyssia opened her eyes and looked at the moon above her. She was laying on the
roof, contemplating her wedding in a few days time, the trapdoor opened, and
landon popped his head through, "You heading to bed, babe?" he said
sweetly
"Yeah, I'll be there in a sec" Lyssia replied
"'kay, don't fall asleep up there" Landon replied before closing the
trapdoor behind him
"I don't know what you want!" he yelled
"Yes you do, Baron Biennie, I am the Archfiend, and I am after it"
said the cloaked figure
"Archfiend? So its you. You will never get it, its hidden too well for you
to find" Baron Biennie replied, as Lyssia looked through the keyhole in
fear, "I mean who would call themselves such a stupid name like
"Archfiend?" he said, as a black cat slinked out from the door on the
other side of the room. The Archfiends eyes gazed at the cat
"So hide it in plain sight, did you?" he said as Maranda ran after
the kitty, picking it up and holding it in her hands. The Fiend slowly walked
towards Maranda and the kitty
"NOOO" Baron Biennie yelled, as he drew his Iron Broadsword and
charged at the fiend before him, "You will not touch my daughter!"
"QUIET!!!!" said the fiend, in his croaky voice, a bolt of energy
striking him down as he yanked the kitty from Maranda, and disappeared,
obviously a recall spell. Maranda ran up to her father, "Father! Father!
are you okay?"
"I am, but please save Mr Fluffles from his grasp" he said weakly
"NO your more important than the kitty" Maranda cried as Lyssia came
out of her hiding place
"There is not much time, you must go soon, stop him at the alter of the
winds in the Alak'r Desert, you must stop him, Maranda, Lyssia can keep a watch
over me" he said, his voice weakening as the door busted open and members
of the town guard rushed to Baron Biennie's side. Maranda picked up the sword
from beside her father, and sprinted out the door
Lyssia opened her eyes and looked at the moon, sinking below the horizon. Was
it that late already? Had she fallen asleep? She yawned, and headed back into
the house, hoping Landon did not notice her missing

A dream under the Twilight Mists
"Wind how I hate the wind" he thought as he stood at the alter, in
his left hand a dagger, in his right a Cat, struggling to get free. The
scratches and the bites were nothing through the mailed glove that he wore. He
knocked the cat out uncontious with the blunt end of his dagger, and placed the
animal on the Altar. He peirced the cats heart in an instant with the razor
sharp dagger and shook his hooded head. "Darn that Biennie, he evaded me
for so long. But finally," he pulled a jewel from the cats innards,
"I have it. Only two more to go," he finished, putting the jewel in a
bag by his side, "And then I will gain my desire"
"And what would that be?" a voice said
He turned to face the girl who had chased him. Dirty brown hair, tied up in a
short ponytail, her eyes were of fire, "What did you do to my kitty?"
"Why, I killed him" he said meninglessly
"You. Why did you do that to papa?" the girl asked angrily, a sword
being unskilly held in her hands
"because Baron Biennie has got in my way all the too many times" he
replied slowly walking off
"Your not getting away with this!" she yelled, charging towards him.
He turned, "Undiciplined" he fired a telekinesis spell at her,
pushing her back. But surprisingly the girl kept her footing, "Oh? you
might offer more resistance than I expected..." he turned, "Then
entertain me"
"I shall!" she yelled, conjouring a Scamp who charged towards him,
yet with the flick of the wrist it was gone, a fireball this time, but a shield
spell broke the impact of it
"Oh, you have potential dear, but you have no skill" he smiled and
blasted a frost spell at the girl, who attepted a shield spell, but it was too
low a quality to stop the attack, blasting her to her knees
He opened his eyes and looked over the twilight mist, "It is this that
still connects us, my dear Maranda" he said, looking over the towers of
the city before him, before peering into the bag, "Only one more to
go"

"If we had had the time, I would have liked a voyage to the wedding with
you. But maybe it's just as well that the group will use the Mage Guild
transport."
"Why not sail to Daggerfall now? The wedding's only a few days away."

QUOTE(vaanic~one @ Sep 2 2005, 08:34 AM)
As Vaan Left Ald Raathim, he paused, and looked down at a nearby
pool, his reflection looked straight back at him, he must've looked about 30
years old....He wasn't.
His eyes turned to his Sword, which he was using as a walking stick (that he
didnt need).
"I really should get myself A proper stick" He thought quickly, and
carried on his way.
Clevestous Clive awoke. But it was hard to wake up, he had to struggle with his
mind. It was a battle inside his head, and he could hear every sword cling,
every stone crumble, and every catapult fling like it was next to him.
His body would say: I need to stretch and walk around a bit. Please let me get
up.
His mind would say: Dear lord! No! I need to rest. Now stay down here so I can
slip into unconciousness.
His brain would say: I am merly a collection of impulses translated into
thought.
And his left arm would say: I feel funny.
Eventualy Clive awoke, but he felt like crap. That's when he realized he had
been lying in a pile of dung. Great, he thought to himself, I'm not
dead, but I might as well be. He sat up and began making an effort to check
his clothing. He found the small pouch of netch leather that he usualy kept his
money in-but it was empty.
But he still had his iron dagger and his silver long-sword with him, and he
still had that amulet his father had given him before he died.
"So first they knock me unconcious, then rob me, then drop me off in the
middle of nowhere!" He looked around, noticing that he didn't recognize
anything around him. "Where am I, anyway?" he wondered out loud.
Clive got up and started walking around in a dull, listless state, looking for
something to do or somewhere to go.
After a few hours of this, he came apon a small stream. He took a drink, his
long black hair falling into the watter and getting wet, and he almost
instantly felt refreshed. So I've been out for a while then... Damn those
assasins!
What was that? Over there. A person. Thank the nine! A person! He saw a
person walking a little distance away. Clive noted that the person was using
his sword as a walking stick... So the person was rich? Then again, if Idid
rob him, he looks a lot more powerful then me. Better just ask him for
directions instead.
He walked up behind the Dunmer male, and said, "you know, you'll ruin your
sword if you keep on jabbing it into the ground like that... Unless it's
enchanted, of course." He gave a friendly smile.

"Coincidently" Replied Vaan, "I was just thinking that same
thing" He returned the friendly smile "And yes, the sword is
enchanted" He chuckled to himself.
He paused for a while, looking the Man up and down, then spoke again.
"What do you require of this poor soul?"

Ahjaar woke.
She had fallen asleep in a chair by Luxi's bed.
She stood up and looked down at the pale girl.
Luxi hadden't woke since she was in the other place with the other 7.
Since then, she had been 'asleep.'
She ocasionally moved, but other then that, she was lifeless.
Well, not exactly.
Ahjaar kissed Luxi's fore head. Luxi's breathing quickned, as it always did
when she felt someone touch her.
Ahjaar left, closeing the door behind her.

"Its morning" Issac said softly to
his fellow Paladins, each of whom awoke. Today was the day they shone thier
ceremonial armour, whilst Landon and Lyssia went through the rehersals for the
ceremony itself. Maranda was practicing her swordsmanship with a hansome dunmer
noble she had been seeing quite a bit of recently. Lacoriz spat as he saw her
being all friendly with this noble through the window, he would show him who
the better swordsman is

Luxi sat cross legged in a prison of vast
whiteness.
A large bubble appeared in front og her, showing her Ahjaar, kissing her on the
forehead. At the same time she felt it, too.
She rubbed her forehead, then popped the bubble.
How much longer was she going to be here?
Everyonce in a while a memory would pop up and play over again, but most of the
time she sat in the vast whiteness.
Then something happened that she did not expect. It was not a memory, beckoning
her to watch, but a very large bubble, big enough for a man to stand in. And
there was someone standing in it. A Golden Saint.
The bubble popped. and she stepped down.
She smilied at Luxi.
Do you know who I am?
Luxi, still sitting, looked up at her wide eyed.
"No."
My name is Shamakand.
The Golden Saint grinned.
Luxi gasped. "What?"
I am Shamakand, your amulet.
"Are you the one keeping me here?"
Yes.
"Why?"
Because you were foolish, child! You put both of us in danger!
"Huh?"
Shamakand sighed.
When Mara was talking to you, you should of just played along. Not attacked
her! I would have gotten you out! But nooo! You had to play little miss hero
and blast her.
Then you made me kill the swarm of Dreugh.
That made me use ALL of my energy supply, forcing my to take energy from you!
"Is that why I was weak?"
Duh. And you still are weak. I'm keeping you here untill you heal.
"Why did you kill the Dreugh then? If it made you weaker?"
Because they would have killed you all!
Shamakand sighed.
You still are a child, and do not understand things. I must go now.
"Wait!" Luxi stood up.
Yes?
"When are you going to let me wake up?"
Soon.
Shamakand left Luxi to her thoughts.

He heard some noises. It was completely
dark. Strange... Even at pitch black night there should be the stars for a
light. Although he could be somewhere inside, but even there should be some
lamps. Dizzyly he listened to the conversation.
“Is he gonna make it? His face looks really bad...” one voice said.
“He must, or else the lord will have our heads. I fear though that he will not
ever see again... His eyes were literally molten when we found him. Luckily we
found his ears though. I re-attached them.” another voice responded.
“What about the son of the lord? Were you able to do anything to his corpse?”
third voice asked.
“Like what? He was literally ashes..” the first voice answered.
He spent the few following moments still in haze. Then it all rushed back to
him.
He remembered. He and the lord's son, Daskhin, had gone for a hunt to the
forest. He was supposed to protect the young dunmer. He had thought, ah, so
naively, that nothing but beasts of the forest would endanger his protegé in
his father's own woods. Then he had seen the altmer wizard among the trees. He
saw the fireball forming in his hands. He tried to run and take the ball
instead of Daskhin, but he was too far away, too far...
“Look, I think he's concious! Quick, tell the lord, that he's awake, atleast
for a while.”
He was consumed by the red hot river of pain. He passed out.
* * * *
He heard a familiar voice from the darkness. Someone shook him hard. “What
happened?! Who was it!?” The voice was furious. In the end it broke in to a
sob.
“Calm down, my lord. That doesn't help a thing. His unconcious again.”
“Calm down!? I'm gonna show you some calming down!” He heard someone pull a
sword from sheath. After that he heard a door open, and people running in.
He passed out again.

Another ship appeared on the horizon as they moved back towards the port. It was a smaller ship, marked with the flag of House Dres and Bodrom Mora.
The water was softly caressing his bare feet as the waves washed over a sandy
beach near Ald Raathim. The sound of the waves was soothing and the salty
breeze blew lightly in his brown hair.
Nalion seemed to look over the Inner Sea, however, in truth, his gaze was
directed inwards. There were many thoughts that raced through his mind, the
events of the last days in Cyrodiil and the tales of the Eight, but most
importantly about a girl with Akavirian features...
Two moving points still a good way off the shore caught his attention, though.
As they drew nearer, Nalion recognized the impressive outline of Goranthir's
new ship. The other point took a bit longer to see clearly. When the other ship
was close enough, the House Dres banners were easily recognizable, the second
banner he could not identify at first. Then, the Breton mage recalled a
conversation he had with Loranna before Raithmat's banishing.
Bodrom Mora and the nobles Vendama and Obael.
Nalion's curiosity awakened and he needed the company of his friends. He rose
and walked towards the docks of Ald Raathim to await the arrival of the two
vessels.

"Lady Loranna always finds the handsomest men to occupy her castle, I don't know how she does it," Vendama smiled, and then turned to give Loranna a hug and a kiss on the cheek.
Nalion blushed and looked at the ground for a second.
"Why thank you.", he said with a slightly embarrassed expression,
then chuckled. "It must be something special to her. Her tearstreaks,
perhaps?"
Nalion winked.
"A welcome back to you, too, Loranna, I hope you enjoyed the trip.",
Nalion greeted his friend before turning back to Vendama.
"What news come out of the Mourning Hold these days, Dres Vendama? I heard
King Helseth is ill..."

Isidor looked to Vendama "What brings you here, if I may ask, Dres
Vendama?"
"Oh," he said as he turned to her. Raithen gave a low bow to her, his
long beard scratching the ground as he did.

"Yes, I really must," Loranna says with a smile, thinking how utterly
right Vendama is, and how it wouldn't have helped much with everything that had
just happened that Vendama thankfully did not remember, and how she had
expected Helseth to recover sooner or later ever since she spoke with Barenziah
anyway.
"That is good news to hear," Loranna says diplomatically. "When

Nalion nodded with a neutral expression. The only time he had met Helseth, on
the day before Hogithum, he had not had the best effect on the mage. However,
the groups 'negotiations' with him about his army and the Eidolon turned out
well.
In a way though, he felt some relief. A country losing a king - and Helseth had
no heir to Nalion's knowledge - could have grave consequences, even if someone
like Barenziah was present. But he was digging too deep into political
speculation...

Despite having been exiled from Ald Raathim
Falco was in a cheery mood. He hummed as he leisurely strolled down the North
Road, the road to Blacklight. So lets get this straight I head to
Blacklight, use the guild guide to get to the Imperial city. From there I head
to Kvatch via guild guide. Then I use it to reach Daggerfall. I'll go to the
wedding of whasttheirnames and look for Isidor. I'll ask him the name of the
girl and his village. I then go to Skyrim. I find the kid. If he or she's well
off I leave'em alone. If not I take them down to Ald Raathim. If that Isidor
refuses to raise his own child then I'll do it myself. Its gonna be a lot of
work though.... not like I got anything else to do. Once I'm done I go back to
my hideoutt in the ascadian isles and live the rest of my life in harmony and
solitude. Falco continued his stroll, appearing to be without a care in the

at the bar. Not yet ordering, for he had no money, he listened in on

Uenas Ayrrhe's Shop, Ald Raathim
Tucked away down an alley off the main street of the village was a little shop
with no sign, with a door that was perpetually locked. Knocking on the door
brings forth a servant boy to deal with the riff raff. If you are known, you're
brought in to Uenas Ayrrhe, one of the finest tailors in western Morrowind.
He had the rest of Goranthir's wardrobe ready to go.
The ranger looked over the formal clothes -- the plum-colored surcoat, the
matching short cape which was the fashion in High Rock at the moment
particularly.
"You're going to an event?" asked the tailor, always interested in
gossip.
"A wedding," said Goranthir.

"Hail, ranger. Good to see you, Thom. I'm trying to stay out of everyone's
way while they prepare for the dinner. You probably saw Dres Vendama's arrival,
or did you?"
"As for news, a few developments since you helped fight in Cyrodiil. . . .
A lot of the company are going to Lyssia's wedding soon, Loranna's thinking of
expanding Ald Raathim, Razbiah's set her cap for the pastry chef." Shaka
had to smile at that last one.

Thom smiled. "I didn't know of Dres
Vendama's arrival, but I see I do now." Thom looked around the castle and
said, "It is well that Ald Raathim is growing. May the Nine be with
Loranna and her country. Oh, and what happened to Falco? I haven't seen
him."

"That's a long story . . . . Before you ever met him, he stole from Loranna
and was given one last chance. Falco got caught attempting to steal from Isidor
the other night, and he's been banished permanently."
"It won't keep him from attending the wedding, if he still feels like it.
Falco also talked about going with Isidor to Skyrim to finally find out what
happened to Isidor's unborn child. I guess we'll find out if it was only
talk."

The Argonian brightened. "Anya's well. I mentioned to her that I was
thinking of building a house in the woods, and she's in favor of it."
Shaka felt a little self-conscious. He had sometimes felt in his life that the
gods punished mortals who showed hubris, too much pride. Stupid to think that
way about Anya and him, but Shaka didn't want to jinx it.

While dinner was being prepared, Loranna and
Vendama talked, allowing Loranna a chance to catch up a bit on the latest
gossip she missed while focusing on the Eight's quest.
When dinner was ready, Loranna comes down, hair brushed and in her favored
dress for having company over; she had assured Vendama that Razbiah was
'experimenting with spices, with notable success,' and found her own stomach
rumbling by the time she reaches the dinner table.

the waist was clinched to show off her figure to an advantage, but it was an

"So which of the men are available, and which are taken?" she smiles,

Ami: "There all done...for a total of 36,754 Septims"
Sona: "I dont think its going to be enough...oh welcome back One!!"
"Hello...everyone I'd like you to meet Devina Matellius...Magister of
House Telvanni"
Devina: "Hello"
Ami: "Thats nice and all but Sona, Uniqua and myself have decided to get
some much needed items...and Hurst has already set off to make some
arrangements, so we'll be back in a few days"
"Just like that huh?"
Ami: "Planning must be made...we'll see you in a couple days"
*...the trio then exits the room...*
"Well that was odd...anyways about that Therana situation maybe you should
just go back and ask for another deed"
Devina Giggling: "Apparently you've never had the honor of meeting
Mistress Therana...getting the deed originally was enough hassle"
"That bad huh?"
Devina: "Well come with me and see for yourself"
"Might as well...I really dont have anything else to do right now
anyways"

A while later, Shaka sat at the table with the others of Loranna's company.
Anya looked beautiful in a simple dress that complemented her coloring.
Vendama was more spectacular than Shaka had remembered. He shook his head,
trying not to stare. Goranthir should take notice of this woman, he thought to
himself. So what if there was an age difference of a few years.

Falco was enjoying the supplies that were meant for a few days. In fact he had
eaten them all. Not because of gluttony, but because by converting his food

After a meal which offered no unpleasant
surprises and fulfilled all expectations, the company retired for the night,
Vendama having proven to be a most enjoyable and witty guest. The evening
passed without incident, though the hummidity did not really abate so much as
it agreed to a temporary cease-fire.
Upon the coming morning, Loranna heads to the Mages Guild, dressed in a dress
of deep blue, embroided with gold, her shoulders left daringly bare and her
hands covered in matching gloves. Her hair done up in the latest Imperial style
and a new pair of shoes, suitable for dancing, adorn her feet. The Altmer guild
guide raises her eyebrows ever so slightly, especially when Loranna informs her
that "There will be a large number of people heading out today."
"Hmph; the guild guide service is not a river ferry," the Altmer
woman says under her breath. "If people had a true appreciation for the
forces we are controlling they would not be so caviliar in trepsing all about
the continent like children on a lark ..."
Still, she accepts Loranna's payment for herself and companions with a
professional smile, and soon Loranna is off, to Daggerfall.

"That urchin, she's a cute one, but she does like to spit up on things.
Consider yourself forewarned."
Daggerfall was a real city, not like the cities of Vvardenfell. The distance
from the Mages's Guild to the Guildhouse of Solunastra was too far to travel
easily on foot, so they rented a carriage.
The carriage took them almost due east, past the cemetary, past a jeweler's,
past a bookseller, to the King's Road leading north/south, from Daggerfall
castle all the way to the docks. Halfway between, the road opened up into
Septim Square, a broad plaza at the center of which stood a larger-than-life
equestrian stature of Tiber Septim.
There were four mansions at the four corners of Septim Square, identical except
for the color of their trim. These four houses were the largest private
residences in Daggerfall. One was for sale. One was owned by a wealthy
noblewoman. One had been subdivided into apartments.
The fourth house, at the southeast corner of Septim Square, was the guildhouse
of a group of adventurers, chartered as a charitable association. It was called
Solunastra.
The doors of the house were thrown wide open to admit air on this pleasant late
summer day. The marble-floored entrance hall was cool, and dark. The tables and
chairs had been stored during the daytime. The room was dominated by a small,
silvery-barked tree, lit by colored light which shone through the stained glass
windows at the back of the hall.
ooc: I'm going to repost my previous description of Solunastra for everyone's
convenience.
QUOTE
Solunastra is chartered as a "brotherly association of
adventurers," which means basically that they have pension plans,
charitable associations, and floats in parades. The public face of the Guild is
of a group of semi-retired adventurers who pooled their earnings to buy a large
house and sponsor a school for orphans.
Although most of the current residents of the Guildhouse are Void Rangers, they
keep this a secret, and in the past there have been associate members who were
not Void Rangers.
The house is large, with 5 wings, three floors, and a cellar, grotto, and
dungeon under the house. It's on Royal Row in Daggerfall, just down the road
from Castle Daggerfall, and it sits on a square with a large fountain and a
statue of Tiber Septim out front. Out back is an herb garden and a statue of
Kynareth, patron goddess of the city of Daggerfall. Tris habitually spits when
he walks past the statue of Kynareth, to show that he's still a loyal citizen
of Wayrest.
Daggerfall is a big city, with dozens of shops, taverns, banks, guilds, and a
Mages's Guild with a guild guide. It's advised to rent a horse if you want to
get anywhere in the city. There's a carriage house near the Guildhouse which
will rent horses. Follow the Royal Road downtown to the dock district and you
can hire a boat to take you anywhere in the Iliac Bay area.
The two closest taverns to the Guildhouse are: The Rat's Satchel, a merry place
frequented by athletes, actors, poets, and idle noblemen, notable for the lack
of women servers and patrons; and The Emperor's Jewel's, an upscale
establishment frequented by retired military officers, mostly those who fought
for Daggerfall's army in the recent wars.
The first floor of the Guildhouse is mostly public rooms, including a grand
dining hall, an informal dining area connected to the kitchen, and the music
room, a cosy wooden panelled room where people gather to play musical
intruments (such as the organ) and do other handwork. Upstairs is a ballroom,
and private quarters: this is where the party will be staying. The rooms are
small, but private, although there is also a barracks area left over from the
days when the Guild was much more populous. The third floor has Allerleirauh's
quarters. The third floor staircase is legendarily treacherous. Don't go up
there. The armory and training area are underground, next to the cellars.
The primary residents of Solunastra are as follows:
Allerleirauh, a tall, slender woman with short silver hair who calls herself a
Nord. She is the founder of Solunastra, and her title here is General Light.
The other two resident guild masters are Arynel and Solin.
Ciel Dolbinen is Solunastra's seneshal, which means he's in charge of keeping
the place running.
Dragon, an older male Nord, is the sword trainer of Solunastra, among other
things. He can often be found polishing swords and armor, or practicing in the
training area. He loves to spar with new people.
Mirror, aka Tris Gaerington, a handsome young male Breton.
Doll, a young girl with Akaviri facial features. She's a mage.
Skein, an older Imperial woman with long black hair and deep black eyes, is the
Guild's seer.
Mirea, redheaded Bosmer girl, is Allerleirauh's spy.
Tamne, an Azurite child, is Allerleirauh and Arynel's adopted daughter.
Sen-Yedda, the infant princess of the Dunmer people, spends most of her time in
Allerleirauh's company, when she's not with her nurse, Redguard woman Jalian
Hawkford.
Igba gra-Busnak is the Guild's cook. Don't go in the kitchen without her
permission.
Timmon, a young Breton boy, is Igba's servant.
There are also 3 servingmaids, all young, all from poor families originally,
although they are well-dressed in Solunstra's blue and silver livery.
Allerleirauh came down the stairs. She was in a violet taffeta dressing gown,
with a towel over her shoulder, and a baby in her arms.
"Oh good, you're here," she said. "This day has been absurdly
hectic."

Allerleirauh rolled her eyes. "She made an order for a gown, and it was
supposed to be ready, and it's not. I told them to bring whatever they had done
already, and I'd finish it with magic."
"I hate it when that happens," Loranna says, holding Sen-Yedda and
grinning. "Someone's getting their teeth in already, hmm?"
Loranna girds herself for dealing with a hopelessly-miserable baby of divine
parentage, humming softly to Sen-Yedda and keeping her and herself out of
peoples' way.

The baby, who had steadfastly refused to be comforted by her nurse, Jalian,
sniffled, and grabbed fistfulls of Loranna's hair.
"That's good, I wasn't sure she'd put up with you," Allerleirauh
said. "She is a child of strong opinions. Now let's see what I can do for
Doll. At the moment she's locked in her room in a full-fledged fit of teenage
hysterics, tears and all. If I didn't know her I'd say she was in love with
someone she expected to be at the wedding."
"I'm out of this conversation," Tris said. "I'm not actually
a girl just because you talk girl talk in front of me."
Allerleirauh waved her hand dismissively at Tris, and went to answer the back
door, where a dress box was being delivered. The two women went into the little
dining room, where she laid the dress out on the table.

As Tris bows out of the conversation, Loranna shoots him a look before

Loranna to emit a muffled cry.
"Least it's not twins this time ..." Loranna says.

"The bridge is still the easiest place to get in," Tris said.
"And the Guildhouse itself is the easiest place to get back out. I was
worried about showing you how easy it is... but the General pointed out that a
single look at the place from the Void would be enough for you to find out on

They walked to the end of the bridge. Hardly any people here, although the day
was perfect, with fat furry brown butterflies clinging to the flowering bushes
surrounding the garden. People never came here. Except Herwyn Brand, who always
had walked just a little way off the path.
The end of the bridge shimmered, as if it were trying to be in two places at
once. Tris took a deep breath, and stepped just the wrong way, catching himself
as he fell into the Void.

Herwyn didn't have fond memories of the last time he'd done this, but he put
those behind him. He'd seen worse since, really.
One moment, there was a young man that would've been handsome but for his
stuffy suit, carrying a bag and a rolled-up newspaper.
The next moment there was no one.

"I don't know if you know this," Allerleirauh said. The cut-out
garment was already beginning to take shape, under her hands; the needle moved
unnaturally fast. "Doll grew up in a brothel; she was a prostitute in high

Sparring session with Drevious, and slowly put her dress armour on beneath her
robe. Where was it? She was proberly staying with that nice Nord Lady, yes,
Allie-somthing, at that house on the square. She cast a dispell spell on her

A young Breton boy emerged from a door at the back of the hall. He was neatly
dressed in blue and white livery, but his face and knees were sooty; he had
been wrestling with the damper of the massive kitchen fireplace.
"One of the guests staying here during the wedding?" he asked.
"Madam the General is in the back room with a friend, and the guest rooms
are upstairs."
He gestured towards the door through which Loranna and Allie had gone.

"Scar tissue is thick, and it looks tough, but it's not as strong as
ordinary flesh. Can one who has been gravely scarred be made whole again? I
don't know. I like to believe so. Scars do fade in time, and a salve can ease
the mending. Perhaps Nalion will be strong enough to endure whatever happens,

"You could slap Tris, he's not exactly responsible but he's very fun to
slap and he inevitably deserves it for some reason or another.
"What happened was that a man was brought back to life during the battle
in the Vaults of Gemin. Somehow the resurrection weakened the realm of Arkay,
and an alternate universe was created where the man had died and not been
brought back. It's that alternate universe you saw during the Twilight. So...
that's the universe that would have happened if no one had done anything. You

wouldn't have been possible at all, and we would all be living under Azura's

Back in Ald Raathim, a force of six parrptons fly over the land, each bearing a
guard.
The robbed farmer's story couldn't identify the culprit other than he 'sounded
like an Argonaian', but that was enough description for the guards of Ald
Rathim to guess at who was responsible. Dram was heard to comment to himself
"He gets banished, robs someone shortly thereafter, yet leaves them half
their money ... strange. But in any event ... get him."
The six guards flying after Falco Redflash had every intention of getting him.
