Solin's red dunmer eyes scan the assembled soldiers before him thinking. There are so many? I am a stranger in this land how will they treat me if I am a "traitor"? He could imagine what it would be like in Morrowind... I need some time... "I'm afraid you have me a bit confused, lady." Solin says doing his best to play stupid...

"Consorting with the enemy! Ha!" Hakan shouts at them, "Your choice in enemies fates ill!" Hakan drew his axe from his belt, his hands almost began to glow green with spell energy, his axe pulsating fire.

Louis gazed partially out of a window, sword drawn.

Reichi considers the options.A good fight sounded fun about now.He had a inexplicable urge for it.He tightened his grip on his Wakizashi.

Great, wonderful.

Allerleirauh cursed the hot-headed Prince Rilis. Now they really were traitors. And Lady Castellian would have to die.

Again; I have a Mark, Loranna-Azura says quickly. Sigh; perhaps I should simply take the initiative ...

She closes her eyes and gathers as mch of her lessened power as is safe to use through Loranna, intent on granting the enemy soldiers outside the momentary revelation of their frail, limited, mortal exiistance ...

(which essentially acts as a brief period of stun if it works, as the victim tries to deal with the overwhelming sense of their own mortality )

*One prepares himself...*

"Well," Hakan laughs, "it's certainly not me they're after...it's my first time in High Rock and my days as a rogue wouldn't have drawn such a gathering..."

Lady Castellian nods to a soldier who approaches yu, chains in hand. "Dunmer scrum, I thought we saw the last of you ..."

ooc: Go ahead and RP the guards. Like I said, this isn't going to work if I reply to everyone's post about what happens next. You decide.

(ooc - I've been debating whether to do this - but we ARE in High Rock, and it's what I would have done in the game. Take it lightly, in the spirit in which it's intended.)

"Broken stairs," Allerleirauh said, calmly. "A dream come true. Arynel, follow me if you dare, or simply watch and wonder. I'm out of here."

She turned and ran up the stairs. Did she fall through the floor? No. She was simply nowhere to be seen.

The Breton ran after Allie, not knowing what to expect.

Hakan began to rage inside and thirst for battle...he picked up his shield, now fully armed he was...."They will die by my hand before anyone is taken from this tavern against their will!" he thought aloud.

Louis tried to calm him to strategically delay the combat...but his attempt was futile.

*One casts hide...he runs to a window down the hallway and throws a chair through it causing the guards to glance, with that he runs downstairs and out the backdoor...*

The Outer Darkness was cold, and Allerleirauh quickly slipped a ring of levitation on her finger to keep from plunging to her doom in the Neverending. She could see them all, strange and small, in their little bit of Truth. She drew a dagger - of little value as a weapon, but enchanted - and hurled a fireball at the distant archers.

Loranna-Azura growls " ... I hate it when she does that ..."

Fortunately, her annoyance adds energy to her intent, and with a growled "Let the revelation of your Dusk be my gift to you all ...!" she invokes her power ...

Lady Castellian, being of strong will, may not be affected, but a good half dozen guards suddenly drop their weapons and wail in despair at the futulity of their mortal lives ...

(easy pickings!)

"Fine.If no one will make the first move.Then i shall!" Reichi shouted before kicking the Tavern door open and carging outside.Of course the archer fired upon him nigh-instantly.Reichi weaved, and ducked.Several arrows impacted his armor, but didn't sink too far in.Reich i continued his reckless chargde at The lady."Traitorous Wench!"

Solin rasies his hands as if surrendering but as the guard draws near with the chains white tendrils of light blossom from his hands. One impacts the chest of the approaching guardsman and emits a dull concusive boom as the guard is flung into the air. The others streak towards archers positioned on the roof of the building across the street. Before they meet their targets, however, Solin begins running.

Rilis decides it would be a prime time to see just how powerful the enchantment on his ring is.
Might as well see.
He rubbed the top of the tower and points the top towards Lady Castellian. A fan of flames shoots forth, burning her and a few nearby guards.
"KILL THEM ALL!"
Rilis charged.

*Seeeing the fireball Allie casts shoot across the sky, One appears behind a soldier near Solin and strikes him in the back...*

In a brief moment of berserk rage...he stood in the open doorway and cast his axe into the midst of knights....it twirled perfectly like a disc...striking on in the cuirass quite effectively...the knights armor was cloven, and the knight fell to the ground, but soon to struggle back up and throw the axe to the ground...Hakan drew his shortsword from underneath his shield, as a flight of arrows came at him from many vectors, though all either missed or hit his shield.

I watch a guard fall to his knees and don't even hesitate. Running at him, I jump over him and unsheath my blade. The Daedric Wakisashi slips under his helmet and I sever his brain from the rest of his body. I feel his life force course through the blade a second, then stand, searching for my next target.

*Archers fire from all directions as One runs for cover...landing near a tree he casts a fireball which shoots up the tree and engulfs its canopy...he hears multiple guards scream...*

Rilis quickly kills two guards, then runs towards Lady Castellian, who seems preoccupied with writhing in agony to notice him. Before he got to her, a guard got in his way.
Syrabane!

Reichi saw this and skidded to a stop.More arrows flew towards him.Reichi dodged all but one.It hit his outstretched right hand.Specifically his right ring finger.The shock caused Reichi to dropp his Wakizashi and the arrow itself dislodged the arrow from reichi's finger.

Oh now thats not good. Reichi thought as the ring rolled into the ranks of the advancing knights.

Allerleirauh concentrated her fire on the archers. It always hurt, deep in her heart, to kill people like this. She heard the screams, as if from a great distance, and saw the bewilderment in their eyes as they looked to see where their death had come from. But they could not reach her. Nor could they harm her friends, once dead.

Hakan rushes out of the door, "Into the fray!!" He bull rushes a knight and drives his deadric shortsword through the knight's throat

Louis follows almost immediately, using his telekinetic abilities he picks up Hakan's fallen axe and uses it as a deadly missile of ever changed directions, hitting one knight then another. He casts the most powerful lightning spell he can muster at Castellian.

The whistling, Solin hears it, just as an arrow catches him in the leg. Unable to stop his momentum while running he takes another step and then collapses to the ground as the pain strikes him.

*The Detect Creatures spell One used is now going on full effect...*

"That cant be good...not at all..."

Arynel follows closely behind Allie.

The Breton is surrounded by an aura of sanctuary.

Louis takes two arrows in the arm, whincing in pain he draws them out..momentarily losing his whits he casts lightning at every roof top he sees until his magicka runs out.

"LEVITATE!" Allerleirauh screamed to Arynel, as he burst into the Void with her. She laughed at his Aura. "There's nothing out here - except maybe Number Thirteen, and I've never met him."

Her dagger's power was exhausted. She used a soulgem to recharge it. "You can't reach inside - but you can shoot magic."

And then ...

"The Fist of Harg shall show you FIGHTING!" Harg roars, picking up a guard - to use as a melee weapon, in the deadly Nordic fighting art of slamming someone over the ehad with their own companion.

Samson whirls and dances, his sword cutting arrows and slicing limbs; he smiles, his adrenelin pumping, and shouts "Time to show you all how we have fun around here!"

Melanus raises his eyebrows and Elaine sighs ... as Darius suddenly whirls with a saber and engages a guard who got too close ... "HA! Take that!"

Arynel casts levitate and follows Allerleirauh.

* Blocking Arrows with his staff and dodging spells One makes his way towards the road leading out of town...its in vain as guards are everywhere and roofs and trees ablaze...*

Rilis roars in rage, cutting the head of the guard clean off, then burying his sword in Lady Castellian. Seconds later, the lightning bolt slammed into her, causing Rilis to be hurt as well.

Hakan is assaulted by two of the unstunned knights, catching him off guard they strike him to the ground but he quickly regains footing. He casts a paralyze spell engulfing half the street....An arrow strikes him from behind but his helm promptly deflects it although he can feel the fire on his neck.

Louis charges into the midst of the fight, quickly decapitating one guard and skewering another with his katana, though he knew the few elite knights would not fall so easily.

Streching forth his hand, Arynel sends a stream of magicka into the void.

"Direnni," Tynna Castellian gasps as she dies. "Direnni .."

This time, the fighting was more immediate than it had been at the witches' coven; Loranna-Azura was in the thick of things before she knew what was coming.

However, in the past few days, she had realized - she can hear people's thoughts. Why not use that on the battlefield, and predict their attacks?

One guard feints his sword in an upward arc at her before suddenly bringing it slashing from the left; Loranna-Azura however raises her shield and steps to the side, and the sword glances off, hitting but air ...

A single, almost serpent-like stab and the guard screams, his sword-arm pierced by Loranna-Azura's blade. A cry of "HARG! One for you!" at the right moment, along with a kick to the guard's rear, and suddenly another guard was being swung about to smash into his friends and the nearest wall ...

Solin breathes raggedly as he drags himself in to the nearby stables for safety. Upon entering he sits up right looking at the arrow point petruding from his calf.

*One casts another fire spell and watches as the Guard he cast it on falls to the ground writhing in pain...suddenly his staff raises vertically and casts a burst of wind that slices guards armor and weapons into sections...*

I turn around just in time to avoid the close swing of one of the men. Repressing my anger, I flip my Blade point up in my hand and hold it at him menacingly. He swings, but I manage to block with my sword. The strength of the warrior causes my arm to shake violently, but I try to shrug it off.

I continue to back up as the warrior takes wild swings at me. I dodge an arrow that cuts through my robe, and into the ground, catching it. Growling, I manage to get the robe off. The guard gaps briefly at my wings.

"Foul creature of evil!" He shouts, making a large overhead cut. I block, but the smaller sword strains. I swing my blade around in an arc, sending his flying through the air. Now helpless, the guard looks at me with stern eyes. I head it for the killing blow, only to watch as he pulls out two small blades of steel: A scimitar and a tanto.

He takes a swing at me with the tanto, which I block easily. However, his scimitar comes in from my right, catching my armor - and body - in the side. I grit my teeth and take it, smashing my blade into his shoulder as his tanto catches my other side. I feel the effects of the Absorb Health/Fatigue, but my wounds only get deeper. Crying out, I twist and manage to get out of the deadly lock. Out of my right side blood gushes, and I attempt to close the wound with a healing spell. I do so, but only as he comes at me again, rage etched on his face. He swings both blades down at me, and I know that it's to be a killing blow.

I manage to block both. The scimitar meets my own blade and the tanto meets my right hand. I ignore the blood coating both blades as I push upward, launching a flurry of attacks at him. Each ring of my blade on his is a sharp noise, cutting into my ears. However, I catch his blades his mine, and swing them both to his sides.

I take the chance. Swinging for his neck, I sever his head from the rest of his body.

Louis cast a well known Breton shield ability around himself...he was nearly invulnerable now so long as it lasted. He wielding his katana with all speed like he had been practicing for decades rather than a few years...He approaches one of the knights and quickly disarms him, cutting off his hands in quick strikes.

Hakan shouts to Harg, "Fear not brother! There are plenty to kill!" He easily kills the two paralyzed knights and kicks their corpses as they fall.

"Castellian's down," Allie said. She turned her attention to those guards who had panicked and fled the battleground, hunting them down and slaying them.

*One uses his Adrenaline Rush ability to give himself unnatural speed quick as a flash several guards immediately in front of him fall to Shehai slashes...*

I work my way up to Loranna-Azura, gutting one as he comes at me.

"Are you ok, Loranna? My Lady?"

Allerleirauh shouted to Arynel - it was utterly silent here, but somehow one felt the need to shout - "Where's your Mark? Let's get back."

"My mark is at an inn nearby." Arynel says to Allie.

Reichi rose to his feet, trying to fight off the transformation.Due to his robe and Morag Tong helmet, the transformation's first stages were unrecognizable to anyone.Reichi grasped his face with his gloved hand as a incredible pain shot through it.He could see hairs through the ripping seems of his gloves now, the claws had tore through already.If he didn't find the ring quickly, it wouldn't be pretty.Reichi dove into the knights, his increasing strength allowing his to push them back and let him into their ranks.They turned to strike Reichi, however he fell of his own accord.The pain was spreading, as his body began to generate and rearange its flesh andbones.The knights, looked curiously for a moment before lifting their blades again to strike.

The never got the chance, Reichi's transformation completed and his helmet tore open.Revealing a Werewolf, fur as white as Snow and golden yellow eye, which immediatly turned upon the Knights and poucned Upon them.Sinking one claws hand each into each of their throats.Then rose and turned back to the army.snarling.Blood dripping from its claws

Solin grits his teeth as he pushes the remaining portion of the arrow head out of his leg, his only solace being that it would hurt moreso if he had tried to heal the wound with the arrow still in place. The blood was getting to the horses. They shied about and started to whinnie loudly. With a final gritting of his teeth he breaks the head off and removes the arrow from the wound. Blue light leaps from his finger tips onto the gaping hole in his leg.

Loranna-Azura's face is a mix of girlish worry and feline anger.

"We are all right," she says, spinning to block a thrust from behind and to slash someone across the face. "This fight reminds me of the fact that I am glorius and terrible ... even if I am still not at full strength."

Harg grins, and that's when Samson leaps and Harg grabs and punches, and the two warriors show that they have indeed worked together for years. More guards fall ...
